    Iwyze: Head Business Partners

    Define, develop, and lead the implementation and execution of the business partner strategy to support growth and new channel development for iWYZE. Manage key internal and external relationships across the Business partners and customer market to drive the iWYZE multi-product / multi-channel initiatives to achieve the iWYZE business plan targets.

    Job Objective

    Define, develop, and lead the implementation and execution of the business partner strategy to support growth and new channel development for iWYZE. Manage key internal and external relationships across the Business partners and customer market to drive the iWYZE multi-product / multi-channel initiatives to achieve the iWYZE business plan targets.

    • In collaboration with the product & Pricing, Technology, claims and customer care structures define a Business partners strategy to achieve the iWYZE business plan targets. (profitability and growth targets).
    • Create business plans, budgets and stretch targets in support of the organisation’s strategic objectives.
    • Drive the achievement of new and existing business profitability and growth targets by ensuring that services and solutions provided to/ by Partners meets or exceeds defined service level agreements across the product/s lifecycle as measured in a performance metrics plan.
    • Deliver new business opportunities in the Business Partner market in support of the iWYZE strategy.
    • Collaborate with Underwriting, Operations and Claims to develop or enhance the current underwriting strategy with the intent to manage the risk and quality of the business being underwritten, while driving growth targets.
    • Facilitate the removal of internal / external bottlenecks to ensure the execution of the strategy while leveraging off existing synergies to enhance the product / channel solution or offering.
    • Create collaborative relationships with other departments to increase the effectiveness of internal and external process designs to enhance the customer experience and create easy, value peace of mind.
    • Optimise performance through targeted business intelligence to ensure that it becomes the primary way of driving the execution and achievement of strategic objectives.
    • Collaborate with Executive Committee of iWYZE to support the development of the Business partner business plans.
    • Analyse performance of Partner portfolios (operational metrics management) across the business and develop appropriate actions to meet or exceed performance measures.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum qualifications: Degree and Insurance related qualification
    • 5 – 10 years’ experience in Direct Insurance
    • 10 – 15 years’ experience in leading a team of business or Business development managers and senior portfolio managers that oversee the growth and profitability of new and renewal business in a multi-channel / multi-product organisation.
    • 5 – 8 years’ experience in building market presence

    Assistant Management Accountant

    This role supports the Senior Management / Financial / Product Accountant and is responsible for the compilation of documents for the development of management reports.

    Management Reporting

    • Compiles supporting documents for management accountant.
    • Prepares draft reports.
    • Assists with the compilation of budgets.
    • Assists with the management of expenses.
    • Prepares internal management report.

    Financial Reporting

    • Compiles and populates records to trial balance level.
    • Prepares draft income statement and balance sheet.

    Reconciliations

    • Ensures accurate reconciliation of accounts.
    • Reviews control accounts and reconciliations.

    Specific to the role

    • Processes journal entries in relation to the Central segment (0140 – 0142, OMEM and OML), timeously and accurately.
    • Performs calculations to determine financial transactions required e.g. leave pay journal
    • Ensures that the financial records, including the balance sheet is valid, accurate and complete.
    • Support Business Partner team in preparation of annual business unit budgets and quarterly forecast in IDU Budgeting tool
    • Performs inter-company reconciliations and confirmation of balances, and corrects mismatches timeously.
    • Reconciliation of all Balance sheet accounts, ensuring that reconciling items are constantly monitored and actioned, and that there are no long outstanding reconciling items.
    • Follows up on long outstanding debt owed to and by the business unit
    • Prepares, and submits within agreed deadlines:
    • HFM Submissions (Monthly, Half Yearly, Annually)
    • Disclosure submissions
    • Analytical Reviews
    • CFO sign off
    • Produces Balance sheet reports.
    • Raising of accruals as and when necessary
    • Processing of AGIS invoices

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Commerce
    • Excellent organizational, planning and prioritizing skills
