    Sales Representative - Diabetes - Durban

    The position 

    • As a Sales Representative in Diabetes at Novo Nordisk, your key responsibilities will be to build and maintain strong relationships with health care professionals in the Diabetes field.   A strong performer is needed to achieve sales targets and growth in the allocated territory, by promoting Novo Nordisk products to healthcare professionals. This will require that you execute sales strategies effectively, efficiently and ethically and participate as a member of a high performing team. The role will further require that you build consultative relationships with clinicians, pharmacists, nurses and other pharmaceutical and related stakeholders. 

    Qualifications 

    • You hold a University Degree/Diploma or equivalent in Medicine / Pharmacy / Biology or related Science or Paramedical qualification. You have an excellent written and verbal communication skills and good command of English; and good computer skills (Excel, Word, Power Point). Moreover, you have: 
    • 3 years of experience as a Sales Representative in the pharmaceutical industry. It will be a plus to have experience in diabetes 
    • Valid driving Licence 
    • You are able to demonstrate an ability and passion to influence from patient centred approach and have strong attention to quality and details  
    • You have good planning and organisational skills and the agility and willingness to quickly adjust to new situations in a continuously developing environment  
    • You have the ability to engage people with different backgrounds (Science, business, etc.) and work within a diverse environment. You have good decision making, problem-solving skills, presentation and interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate

    • Develop and execute strategic territory plans to achieve sales targets and drive business growth 
    • Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the Diabetes field and provide feedback to internal teams to support product improvement and innovation 
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of sales strategies and initiatives

    Legal & Compliance Manager

    Your main accountabilities will be to:

    • Provide day-to-day high-quality advice on legal, ethics & compliance matters ensuring compliance with internal and external rules and regulations including data privacy in CDC South Africa
    • Develop the compliance plan and strategy for  CDC South Africa
    • Serve as legal, ethics & compliance subject matter expert and sparring partner to CDC South Africa, considering ethics and compliance in the decision-making process
    • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate ethics & compliance risks across CDC South Africa and report and handle compliance investigations, as required
    • Develop proactive guidance/processes, tools, and best practice materials to address local law and pharma industry requirements to supplement global policies when needed

    Qualifications

    • As a Legal & Compliance Manager, you need to have strong legal experience particularly in contract drafting. In addition, you need to have expertise in a health & life sciences department in a law firm or in a pharmaceutical or medical devices company will be highly valued. Moreover, you need to have experience with Business Ethics and Compliance (including applicable codes of conduct, FCPA and UK Anti-bribery Act).

    To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:

    • Law Degree from University Law School
    • Experience as qualified lawyer (minimum 5+ years’ legal experience)
    • Postgraduate studies related to health or pharma law will be an asset
    • Membership of the applicable legal bar/law society is desired
    • Strong ability to think strategically, lead, and set direction in a complex and dynamic stakeholder landscape
    • Strong command of written and spoken English with the ability to communicate complex matters in a simple and compelling way

    Senior People & Organisation Partner

    The position

    • As our new HR business partner, you will be supporting  the Line of Business (LoB) in driving the development of the business strategy and translating it into a people plan to improve business performance and drive business transformation.  Support Line of Business LoB as strategic HR Business Partner for Organisational Development, Resource planning, Comp & Benefits management, Employee Relations guidance and Talent development.
