    Senior Electrical Designer

    Job Description

    • Our leading consulting engineering client is currently recruiting for a Senior Electrical Designer with extensive experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical or similar sector of the industry to provide support to our Client in the execution of projects.

    Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

    • Apply client specifications and local/international standards to electrical designs, gather site information, and update existing drawings.
    • Model cable racks, earthing, lighting, and small power systems in SP3D; participate in plot plan and model reviews at various stages.
    • Design cable rack sizing, routing, trenching, earthing, lightning protection, lighting, small power layouts, and hazardous area classifications.
    • Create overall and protection single-line diagrams, substation equipment layouts, and integrate electrical design with civil, mechanical, piping, and C&I.
    • Produce MTOs and BOQs, contribute to E&I installation contracts, bid evaluations, and provide site support during installation and EOJ as-building.

    Qualifications & Experience:

    Instrument Engineer

    Responsibilities:

    • Design all instrumentation on assigned projects and prepare project-related standards and job notes.
    • Prepare and update requisition indexes, drawing indexes, and general notes requisitions for instrumentation.
    • Review and ensure correctness of flowsheets and quality of instrumentation drawings; assist in their preparation and review.
    • Develop control/safety system requirements and philosophies; prepare technical bid analyses, and attend system FAT/SATs and coordination meetings.

    Responsibilities:

    • Complete technical design work using relevant methods, client and corporate standards, and project requirements.
    • Produce final Smartplant 3D models for civil and structural elements, including earthworks, foundations, pipe racks, and buildings, based on engineering design sketches.
    • Create final civil and structural deliverable drawings, ensuring compliance with client, corporate, and national standards and specifications.
