    Launch & Localisation Engineer

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Responsible for the launch of their respective automotive systems and new components during new model launches
    • Localisation of components for new model launches
    • Vehicle cost reduction by additional localization of components post launch and design actions.
    • Vehicle cost reduction by design actions

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Engineer required for Body Exterior function within L&L: Body Exterior-Sheetmetal, exterior trim, lighting
    • The engineer will project manage local suppliers to deliver local components on time and with quality while interfacing with the Lead Engineering Activity (LEA) engineers to ensure all engineering standards and requirements are met
    • During launch the engineer will root cause quality or build issues and implement robust containment actions to ensure quality build phases, while working with the suppliers and LEA engineers for permanent corrective actions
    • While reporting to their L&L supervisor the engineer will work within a large cross-functional group including Purchasing, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Planning & Logistics and Supplier Technical Assistance
    • Validation of BOM’s prior to build phases to ensure correct parts available for assembly.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s Degree / National Diploma in Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
    • Minimum 2 years motor vehicle experience in either the Product Development or Manufacturing environments.

    Maintenance Planner

    POSITION DETAILS

    • Setup 1295 process for new spare parts needed by plant
    • Support with identifying spares and receiving from stores during breakdowns
    • Place orders for parts required that are not store items.
    • Plan and coordinate parts needed for shutdown activities.
    • Contact suppliers and place orders for emergency breakdown requests
    • Maintain 100% spare parts availability in line side cages
    • Raise SFR for spare part requests from Stores
    • Effective root causes analysis towards downtime affected by spares availability.
    • Continuously check for areas to improve and simplify spare parts availability.
    • Coordinate and manage parts sent out for repairs
    • Manage part queries and problems.
    • Support Non-prod stores with activities related to bodyshop.
    • Continuously check for area to save cost or lead time for spare parts.
    • Proactive approach to Maintenance Operating System (MOS).
    • Responsible approach to all Safety standard regulations.

    PERFORMANCE MEASURES/ SUCCESS CRITERIA

    • +95% Spare parts Availability in line side spare cages
    • 100% compliance with ordering and payments to suppliers
    • 10% spare part cost reduction Per year
    • 10% MTTR reduction per year
    • 100% tracking and compliances with parts sent out for repaired and received. 

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and ABILITIES (KSA)

    • Strong understanding of manufacturing operation and equipment
    • Understand and able to use Maximo
    • Understand and able to use Ariba 
    • Understand and able to use CMMS
    • Understand process for setting up new parts as store items 1295
    • Understand process for Emergency orders
    • Behavioral Skill.
    • Strong ability to manage queries and problems
    • Ability to work unsupervised and ensure targets are met.
    • Ability to convey accurate, detailed information verbally or in written form in English.
    • Strong knowledge and skills with Excel, Word and power point.
    • Accurately filling out daily reports e.g. Paynter charts, Corrective maintenance and so forth.
    • Ability to work autonomously, think analytically and to make sound judgements.
    • Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the evolution of the company and the requirements of the department/position.

     QUALIFICATIONS and EXPERIENCE

    • National Diploma or degree: Mechanical/Mechatronics/Electrical/ Automation Engineering 
    • Minimum of 2-3-year skilled Body shop experience working in maintenance department

    HR Technician - Training & Development

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    •  Facilitate the effective execution and continuous support of all training, development, and talent-related interventions and programs within the Manufacturing Division.
    •  In line with the strategic agenda, contribute to the consistent and successful implementation and application of all Ford training, development, and talent initiatives in the Manufacturing Division.
    •  Assist in the implementation and ongoing support of the Next-Generation Graduate Program in the Manufacturing Division.
    •  Contribute to the maintenance of a comprehensive training and development administration system. 
    •  Assist Manufacturing management and supervision in ensuring succession plans are maintained according to Ford standards 
    •  Enforce adherence to all relevant policies, procedures, and legislative requirements. 
    •  Assist in the efficient implementation and continued support for succession planning initiatives within the Manufacturing Division. 
    •  Aid in the implementation of robust onboarding programs to facilitate the seamless integration of new and existing employees into the Ford Manufacturing Division.
    •  Support the execution and maintenance of required leadership development initiatives. 
    •  Design and deliver diverse training initiatives as needed.
    •  Co-ordinate the scheduling and arrangements of required training and development interventions. 
    •  Provide support for the implementation and ongoing enhancement of the Artisan Programs within the Manufacturing Division. 
    •  Support in conducting regular meetings with various leadership levels and HRBP’s in the Manufacturing Division to ensure comprehensive support and effective scheduling of all training and development interventions for their respective areas. 
    •  Provide the required project management support for related projects and activities. 
    •  Assist in performing necessary data analysis to identify factual insights and trends for informed decision-making.
    •  Provide the required support to ensure all identified training and development initiatives and activities are successfully implemented and continuously supported. 
    •  Provide the required assistance to ensure the pipeline of suitably trained employees are available. 
    •  Experience in Human Resources / Talent Management / Industrial Psychology experience.
    •  Proficient knowledge of manufacturing operations.
