    Production Planner / Scheduler

    • We have an opportunity for a Production Planner / Scheduler to join our Production Team in Paarl. The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements and be able to fill the subsequent responsibilities:

    Requirements and skills

    • Minimum qualification: Relevant tertiary qualification preferred (Engineering, Operation Management etc.)
    • Certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) accreditation or other relevant certification is advantageous.
    • Minimum experience: At least 5 years proven experience as production planner preferably in a manufacturing environment.
    • Excellent knowledge of production planning principles
    • Experience in MPS & MRP (advantageous)
    • Must be computer literate in MS Office, 2D/3D CAD (advantageous) and ERP systems
    • Proficient in mathematics and statistics
    • Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent communication abilities (English & Afrikaans)
    • Must be able to work independently, as well as function within a team.
    • Must be able to think critically, have attention to detail, complex problem solving, be creative and use own judgement in decision making.
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Pragmatic approach and positive demeanor
    • A positive attitude, self-motivated and reliable
    • Confident, assertive and results-oriented.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan & Schedule production order fulfilment for assembly and fabrication workshops.
    • Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to meet production demand.
    • Assign resources to specific production orders.
    • Coordinate production operations in accordance with material, labour, and equipment availability.
    • Monitor jobs to ensure they will finish on time
    • Address issues when they arise, aiming for minimum disruption
    • Obtain output information (number of finished products, schedule accuracy, etc.)
    • Prepare and submit status and performance reports.
    • Collaborate with Engineering, Workshop, Quality control and other relevant staff
    • Recommend viable solutions to reduce production costs, as well as improve production processes and product quality.
    • Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current production schedules.
    • Perform administrative tasks and maintain ERP system information

    Customer Support Sales Engineer

    We are recruiting for a dynamic Sales Engineer to join our professional Customer Support team.
    Reporting to the Manager: Customer Support, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining machine audits, quotations and service level agreements.

    Skill and requirements:

    • A minimum of five years’ experience related to Filmatic products and relevant product knowledge.
    • A minimum of 5 years’ experience related to machine building / assembly / technical background.
    • Minimum of a relevant tertiary Technical qualification.
    • Sales experience preferred.
    • Marketing background (an advantage).
    • Computer literacy Ms Word, Ms Excel, MS Powerpoint, CAD, Outlook, Internet, MS Navision (an advantage).
    • Numerical aptitude.
    • Strong administrative capability.
    • Excellent communication and written skills in both English and Afrikaans.
    • Excellent people skills and customer service orientation.
    • Must be able to travel regularly both nationally and internationally and work outside normal hours.
    • Valid driver’s license.

    Key responsibilities:

    • Machine audits of new and old machines, not only in isolation but also to audit efficiency/optimisation of entire production line.
    • The preparation and presentation of quotations and audit reports to clients.
    • The sale of aftercare services and spare parts to clients, in line with requirements identified through machine audits.
    • The preparation and sale of Service Level Agreements to clients, based on specific customer needs.

    Personal traits:

    • Self-starter and self-motivated, with the ability to take ownership of tasks and work without supervision.
    • Pro-active and energetic, with the ability to work under pressure.
    • Goal-orientated and performance-driven.
