    Credit Analyst

     

    In this Credit Analyst role, you will be responsible for credit risk mitigation activities. This includes researching and analysing new and existing counterparties to determine appropriate levels of exposure. As well as facilitating credit support arrangements and the monitoring and reporting on credit exposures and events.

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
    Operational results

    • Monitor that pre-set tolerances are inputted in the system
    • Account approval (before and on-going)
    • Credit limit reviews
    • Assessing group exposure
    • Commercial terms analysis
    • Political & regional risk exposure (on each customer)
    • Ensure that credit application forms are completed correctly and copies of the clients’ liquor license and identification documents, etc. are obtained
    • Obtain trade references/ TransUnion Credit
    • Vet all customers from a Know Your Customer (KYC) perspective
    • Working knowledge of financial statement analysis is required
    • Release or reject orders timeously to ensure deliveries are not adversely affected

    Risk & Compliance Management

    • Proactive risk identification, mitigation and management
    • Ensure compliance to Procure to Pay policies, procedures and contracts

    Credit Management

    • Basic knowledge of all statutory requirements which will impact on the credit function, i.e. Liquor Acts, National Credit Act, VAT Act, Companies Act, etc.
    • Basic knowledge of:
    • Common Law principals which will have impact on the credit function (e.g. contract law)
    • Commercial Trade terms
    • Country risk

    The Successful Candidate Must Have The Following Experience/skills

    • Accounting, finance or financial mathematics degree or an international/ national credit management diploma.
    • 2 – 4 years’ credit analysis experience gained in credit admin, general banking or in a credit controller role
    • Working knowledge of the FMCG & liquor industry as well as export trade credit experience
    • Good understanding of business processes, controls and documentations
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate and present to senior management
    • Strong attention to detail and confident in asking questions
    • Highly motivated, enthusiastic and able to react to changes in priorities
    • Good understanding of credit risk management, both on a domestic and international front
    • MS Office applications advantageous

    Marketing International Internship

     

    The intention is to give practical work experience to students who are in their final year of study and require in-service work exposure in order to obtain their qualification and/or those recently graduated but unemployed and require exposure in a work environment. Successful interns will be expected to enter into a 12 month contract commencing 1 April 2020 and terminating 31 March 2021.

    Key Learning Areas Include (but Are Not Limited To)

    • Relationship building;
    • Budget management;
    • Product development and innovation;
    • Market research;
    • Market / Consumer intelligence and analysis;
    • Brand planning, guardrails and toolkits;
    • General administrative assistance.

    The successful candidate must have the following qualification, skills and experience:

    • Tertiary qualification or in final year of study: E.g Degree in Finance, Marketing, or any other relevant qualification.
    • Excellent academic record;
    • Computer literacy: Word, Excel, PowerPoint;
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal and problem solving skills;
    • Willingness to learn and make a difference; a can-do attitude.
    • Ability to multi-task and perform under pressure;
    • Ability to work in a team and with cross functional groups within the business unit;
    • Project management and presentation skills.
    • Results and goal orientated;
    • Effective time management, able to meet deadlines;
    • Candidate required to work collaboratively across two brands and multiple disciplines
    • Individual to demonstrate maturity, independence and ability to be proactive
    • Must be prepared to work outside of normal working hours for international business and meeting requirements
    • Driver’s License and own transport is essential;
    • South African citizen;
    • Successful interns will be expected to enter into a 12 month contract.
