    Assistant Group Accountant - Bloemfontein

    Job Advert Summary    

    • CBH is looking for a Chartered Accountant registered with SAICA to assist with monthly reporting, budgets and forecasting, regulatory reporting and taxation. The successful candidate will report directly to the Group Accountant.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Chartered accountant registered with SAICA
    • Completed training at audit firm with 1 year post training experience preferable
    • Ability to work flexible hours and overtime
    • Experience in the preparation of annual financial statements
    • Thorough knowledge of IFRS accounting procedures and principles
    • Experience in the completion of tax returns and other tax requirements (transfer pricing, carbon tax)
    • Experience and knowledge of GL functions and month-end/year-end close
    • Experience in consolidations will be required
    • Advanced computer literacy
    • Understanding of accounting systems
    • Attention to detail
    • Strong level of accuracy
    • Deadline driven
    • Ability to work unsupervised and take direction
    • Good problem solving skills

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Monthly reporting

    • Assist group accountant with month end reporting procedures
    • Provide support to business units as needed
    • Assist with recons and detailed month end reporting requirements
    • Consolidation of group accounts for group reporting purposes

    Budget and forecasting

    • Assist group account with budgeting process and review and completion of budgets on reporting platform
    • Assist with quarterly forecasting requirements
    • Manage weekly cash flow reporting requirements and liaise with teams to collate and complete information on a weekly basis
    • Consolidation of all the above for group reporting purposes

    Regulatory reporting

    • Preparation of AFS and co-ordinate and plan with the external auditors
    • Using IFRS knowledge, assist business units as need be with correct accounting treatment of transaction
    • Prepare schedules in support of the annual financial statements
    • Collate and summarise information for mergers/acquisitions

    Taxation

    • Strong tax knowledge and prior experience
    • Updating transfer pricing policies
    • Preparation of annual tax returns for South Africa and completion of IT10 and carbon tax returns
    • Assist with other reporting requirements to Stats SA, SARB reporting, etc.

    • Supreme Poultry, Mafikeng Processing Plant has a vacancy for suitably qualified Maintenance Planner within its Maintenance Department. The ideal candidate will be expected to have 3 -5 years work experience in Poultry Abattoir or FMCG environment. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • National Diploma in Engineering or a Trade Test in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering

    Snr HR Practitioner - Botshabelo, Bloemfontein

    Job Advert Summary    

    • Supreme Poultry has an opportunity available for a Snr HR Practitioner at their plant in Botshabelo, Bloemfontein. The successful candidate will be responsible for the complete HR function at the plant.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Relevant tertiary HR qualification.
    • At least 7 to 10 years post qualification experience.
    • Strong Industrial Relations skills.
    • Excellent computer literacy in: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams, etc.).
    • Experience working with HR Systems.
    • Working knowledge of job analysis, job evaluation and remuneration management.
    • Driver’s license and willing to travel.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Industrial Relations: day-to-day disciplinary matters, union consultations, CCMA case handling, etc.
    • Manpower Planning in conjunction with Plant Management.
    • Salary and Wage Administration to ensure correct and accurate payment of salaries in accordance with T&A system and attend to salary queries.
    • Recruitment, Selection and Onboarding of staff, in line with company policies and procedures.
    • Ensure that all Training and Development requirements are met, recorded, and reported on. This will include the management and coordination of learnership, apprenticeship and bursary programmes.
    • Ensure that the Performance and Succession Management processes are implemented and maintained.
    • The coordination of the Employment Equity committee, as well as employment equity compliance and reporting.
    • Monthly and quarterly HR reporting on key people drivers, proactively highlight key trends, risks and formulate action plans.
    • Coordination and submission of employee data to the Payroll Department in an accurate and timeous manner.
    • Ensure that all Time & Attendance data is accurate and is reported timeously.
    • Implement specific project activities as determined through the HR planning process and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
    • Manage the termination processes and ensure that exit interviews are done.
    • Act as a liaison between the plant and head office to ensure that HR services are aligned with internal Policies and Procedures.
    • Manage HR Team, to ensure that the department functions effectively.
    • Contribute to the management business by attending monthly management meetings and providing relevant advice, direction and guidance on HR and resource management.
    • Represent the Division at Business Unit HR meetings.
    • Coordinate meetings and events where and if required.
    • Attend to and coordinate internal and external customer audits to meet the relevant requirements.
