    Pharmacist - Port Elizabeth

    Description

    • Leads the receiving, storing, dispensing, and packing of scheduled drugs and controlled materials.

    Requirements

    Sample testing before storage

    • Verify the replacement of the label after “For release” is approved.

    Dispensing of raw material

    • Check that correct stock was picked for the batch
    • Do dispensary line opening.
    • Check dispensed material against batch records.
    • Update information into the ERP system

    Sample testing after storage

    • Supervise the sourcing of the selected material
    • Supervise the sampling of content by required specifications.
    • Make requests for the repacking of the box restock.
    • Supervise and verify cycle counts and stock counts.

    Management of Schedule 5 and 6 items

    • Oversee the complete flow of material or FG from receipt to dispatch.
    • Adhere to Legal requirement as per GDP, GMP and GWP guidelines.

    Management of the destruction process for obsolete stock

    • Manage process, from receipt to destruction of stock, inclusive of the administration process, i.e., SBF’s, ERP transactions, approvals.

    Sourcing Manager -JHB

    JOB PURPOSE:

    • Responsible for strategy and execution of finished goods & freight sourcing activities, locating and reviewing a variety of potential suppliers in order to recommend the best supplier for a particular business need. Drive cost optimisation and customer satisfaction by identifying and implementing opportunities for alternative sourcing of finished/bulk dosage forms and freight, optimising existing contracts and ensuring compliance/validity thereof for both suppliers/customers,  whilst constantly looking for cost opportunity and maximising supply reliability.

    ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strategy Delivery

    •  Plan and manage overall finished goods product and freight sourcing strategy
    •  Develop and deliver supply chain strategy to support delivery of business growth agenda. 
    •  Drive and input into supply strategies with manufacturing sites and 3rd parties to improve overall supply performance for service level and improve business inventory holding. 
    •  Drive sourcing of products and CMO supply performance and benchmarking to improve service, cost and cash. 
    •  Build strong and sustainable relationship with 3rd party suppliers

    Supplier Sourcing & Negotiation

    • Execute analyses and make suggestions for improvement of overall sourcing strategy
    • Responsible for sourcing suitable contract manufacturer considering technical, regulatory requirements, cost and supply chain efficiency.
    • Implement sourcing frameworks and policies that is suitable and applicable for the SA Commercial.
    • Assists in the development and implementation of procurement and contract management instructions, policies, procedures and procurement charter in line with audit requirements
    • Represents the company in negotiating contracts and formulating supplier agreements.
    • Responsible for Cost, Service negotiations with CMOs to drive service performance, cost reduction as well as supply resilience in supply in both short and long horizons. Including coordinate and negotiate SLA with suppliers
    • Ensure sufficient capacity negotiated with all suppliers for the 24 months+ horizon to deliver business growth agenda.
    • Drive on-time delivery linked to new launches, realignments and operationalization of license agreement.
    • Develop long term strategy on products with pricing or continuity weaknesses and create supply resilience.
    • Develop and control annual budget for sourcing of products and cost of goods spent with Finance
    • Manage and track budget and annual spent, and drive reduction in cost to service. This includes, Opex, Capex and COGs. 

    Supplier Management

    • Responsible for maintenance and update of supply agreements along with legal team.
    • Maintain effective supplier relationships and evaluate / audit suppliers frequently and ensure alignment to company policies
    • Ensure supplier compliance to SLA and latest regulatory requirements
    • Act as the point of escalation with the team and SA Commercial, communicating and resolving operational issues
    • Responsible for ensuring resolutions to supplier queries and serves as owner to supply agreements for SA Comm along with Supply Chain Manager
    • Responsible and accountable for ensuring all supply agreement are updated and with no interruption on service delivery.
    • Drive operation efficiency at CMO’s to deliver Aspen’s growth agenda. Drive continuous improvement in CMO performance to deliver service improvement.
    • Analyse supplier performance
    • Implement and conduct routinely supplier performance reviews and feed supplier strength and weaknesses into overall supply chain strategy.
    • Conduct supplier bench markings and contract reviews to continuously optimize cost, cash and cost. 

    Other Supply Chain Improvement

    •  Develop methodology and policies to manage sourcing operationals effectively.
    • Provide periodic reporting for management on sourcing, controls and processes.
    • Build effective relationships with all supply  points to strengthen supply reliability, responsiveness, and agility
    • Adoption of new supply chain planning systems/functionalities and embed the new planning tool by working with planners and IT system stewards and external consultants to scope, spec and migrate Supply related functionalities from the commercial end
    • Drive fact-based decision-making that will increase competitiveness by providing data analytics and implement improvement plans.

    Requirements

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE 

    • Degree in Supply Chain Management, BCom degree
    • Specialist procurement qualification is advantageous (CIPS etc)
    • Exposure to Manufacturing essential
    • Import/Export experience essential
    • Team Management experience essential
    • 5+ years’ experience within a similar role, preferably in FMCG/Pharmaceutical environment
    • 10 years’ experience within a Supply Chain environment
    • Demonstrated success in product sourcing & negotiations
    • Strong understanding of financial, regulatory and Supply chain interactions
    • Strong understanding of procurement frameworks, methodologies, processes and industry best practices
    • Proven capability to lead cross-functional project
    • Understanding of legal, regulatory and GMP environment in marketing and manufacturing.
    • Experience in operating with SAP, Excel, Power BI
    • Experience in senior stakeholder engagement & reporting

    Validation Officer (Re-Advertisement)

    Description

    • Perform validation exercises of production and lab equipment, utilities, packaging, and processes to ensure specific standard of compliance is met.

    Requirements

    Production Accountant - Port Elizabeth

    Description

    • Ensures effective implementation and management of accounting controls within Production departments.
    • Prepares accurate and timely financial reports on Production activities.

    Requirements

    Budgets and Reporting

    • Assist in preparing the expenses, recoveries, material usage and stock budget and forecasts.
    • Prepare performance reports.
    • Set annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
