    Data Capturer - Greater Giyani Rural

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Capture patient’s information into all database platforms, e.g., Tier.net and other DoH database applications.
    • Carry out data quality assessment and audits with close guidance from M&E officer.
    • Conduct monthly data validations using prescribed tools on collected data from DHIS, Tier.net and TB modules/ETR.
    • Assist facility data capturers in populating run-chats for DIP elements.
    • Update tracing outcomes from CHWs and CLO on the defaulter-tracing tool
    • Coordinate and collect ad-hoc and routine weekly data from facilities by all Anova team members in the sub district.

    Any other tasks as agreed with line manager. 

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required:

    • Grade 12 (Matric).
    • Tertiary qualification will be an added advantage.
    • Data capturing competency through experience or training.
    • Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

    Professional Nurse - Johannesburg

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Champion the Anova 90-90-90 in-facility activities by leading the facility meetings and supporting weekly data review, monitor attendance and liaise between Anova and the facility
    • Work with the outreach teams to get referrals and to initiate ART for eligible HIV infected clients including PrEP
    • Provide follow up care for patients on treatment in line with DoH HIV Management guidelines as well as Anova work plan and Facility 90-90-90 plans
    • Routinely monitor performance & registers of (TB/HIV/STI) programmes at facility level and provide mentorship & technical support where required
    • Identify poor performing indicators, put together quality improvement (QI) plans and implement as agreed upon with the facility team
    • Identify training needs at facility level and arrange in-service training where needed
    • Train clinic staff on MSM Diversity trainer and biomedical training and mentor staff at facilities
    • Use relevant M&E tools to report weekly to Anova sub-district team on number of clients initiated on ART and TPT

    • Attend weekly multi-disciplinary meeting

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • A degree or diploma qualification as a Professional Nurse
    • Registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council
    • NIMART trained and certified as competent to work independently
    • At least 4 years’ experience in working at a clinic (PHC or CHC) facility
    • At least 2 years NIMART experience
    • Familiar with latest HIV Management, PrEP, STI and TB and guidelines
    • PHC Qualification is advantageous
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Good report writing skills
    • Strong organizational skills, including time management and multi-tasking skills

    Outreach Team Lead - Johannesburg

    • The successful candidate will offer advanced integrated health care to disengaged individuals and household through a roving system within a specified sub-district mainly supporting facilities with high numbers of LTFU patients or missed appointment. Focusing on intensified physical tracing, active referral, linkage to care, adherence support health promotion, screening, and disease prevention.

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Enrolled nursing certificate or relevant qualification

    • Up to date knowledge on South African HIV/TB programs, preferably in the public health sector
    • Counselling experience, especially HIV.

    Pharmacist Assistant Mentor - Johannesburg

    The successful candidate will be required to to support implementation of pharmacy activities in Anova supported facilities by ensuring that they are compliant with Basic Pharmacy principles, implementation and maintenance of stock visibility solution and alternative distribution models.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Provide mentorship and support to ensure that adequate levels of stock are always available
    • Ensure compliance with good pharmacy practice
    • Maintenance of stock visibility solution (SVS)
    • Implementation of Repeat Prescription Collections (RPC) in supported facilities
    • Support the retention of accurate and updated records on pharmacy activity & decanting
    • Perform duties of Pharmacist Assistant such as dispensing, drug supply management etc. in line with Scope of Practice
    • Represent Anova in stakeholder meetings and workshops when requested

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Registered as a post basic Pharmacist Assistant with SAPC
    • At least 1 year experience on HIV/AIDS treatment regimen and adherence issues

    Sub-District Manager - Cape Town

    • We are looking for medical doctor or a nurse to oversee implementation of 90-90-90 HIV/TB strategy at sub-district & primary health care/clinic level. The incumbent will also manage a multidisciplinary team of Anova staff to ensure all 90-90-90 workplan activities are implemented in supported facilities. 

    Key Duties and Responsibilities 

    • Provide clinical advice to DOH and PHC (Primary Health Care) staff on HIV, TB, PMTCT & Paediatric management
    • Plan, develop and review overall strategy for the sub-district in line with the overall Health Systems Strengthening and 909090 HIV/TB strategy
    • Support Anova Non roving and roving team leaders (through mentorship, providing technical advice, conducting joint stakeholder engagement activities, conducting facility level support visits, etc.) to ensure that agreed upon activities are successfully implemented in facilities
    • Manage a diverse team of staff in conjunction with other line managers (e.g. M&E, HTS, Pharmacy etc.) in order to ensure efficient project delivery
    • Provide programme performance reports (verbal and written) to Programme manager, DOH, Anova management as agreed upon with the Deputy Programme manager

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Bachelor’s MBChB degree or BCurr or B. Pharmacy with a Postgraduate qualification with Primary Health Care speciality (Nurse Clinician)
    • Minimum 3 years’ post community service clinical experience (for medical doctors) and 8 years for Nurse Clinicians
    • At least 2 years’ experience in a management or senior role within comprehensive HIV/TB programmes
    • Understanding of TB/HIV/(E)PMTCT programmes, programme indicators and monitoring & evaluate
    • Ability to analyse and interpret HIV/TB programme data to inform programme planning and implementation
    • Demonstrate initiative, and the ability to develop and carry out work plans and solve problems
    • Good knowledge of antiretroviral therapy, TB and chronic medication
    • Quality Improvement and project management skills, an advantage
    • Valid HPCSA registration as Independent Practioner or valid SANC registration
    • Experience in leading a team, management, or supervision of staff

    Tracing Officer - Greater Letaba Rural

    We are looking for a Community Linkage Officer who will be responsible for HTS and ensure that proper linkage to care of all HIV infected patients is done according to DoH guidelines.

    Key duties and responsibilities:

    • Mobilising people in the communities to encourage them to get tested prior screening
    • Provide HIV testing services (HTS) to clients
    • Be available to assist all clients tested for HIV in the facility and from the community outreach sites
    • Ensure that all clients tested positive are linked into care
    • Provide Index testing to all HIV positive clients found in the community
    • Keep proper records of clients who are tested and initiated on ART
    • Attend program meetings as required to discuss HTS/HIV/TB/STI related issues
    • Give Health education on HIV/TB and STI
    • Ensure Quality testing by adhering to RTCQI standards

    Minimum qualifications and experience:

    • Grade 12 (Matric)
    • At least 2 years’ experience working as a HTS counsellor preferably in the community setting

    • Must be able to work independently and in a team

    HTS Coordinator X 2 - Cape Town

    We are looking for a HTS Coordinator that will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of facility and out of facility, community case finding (HTS), case management and retention support activities within the Western Cape APACE program through coordinating the various projects facets, including HR, logistics and administration.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Oversee the implementation of Anova’s case finding, case management and retention support activities at facility and community level, in line with 909090 strategy and workplan
    • Oversee the implementation, coordination, and support of all HIV prevention strategies: DREAMS, MINA, PREP, ICT, Risk Screening tool and HIV SS
    • Provide leadership and oversight to Anova Counsellors and HTS Testers allocated to work at primary health care facilities, hospital, and community
    • Work with a team of Anova counsellors and HTS testers and ensure that they meet all required DoH standards to provide case finding, linkage to care and retention in care strategies
    • Oversee implementation and maintenance of HTS/CLI quality improvement activities at facility and community level as required and ensure compliance with DoH policies
    • Identify training needs at facility and community level and make logistical arrangements for such trainings
    • Coordinate all data collection and management processes provided by your teams.
    • Engage in data quality assurance and internal control activities
    • Update project assets registers and inventories
    • Laisse regularly with Anova M&E department to ensure accurate project reports
    • Identify critical programme stakeholders and establish working relationships with them
    • Manage and maintain functional relations with all internal and external stakeholders including DoH and other partners
    • Ensure that project staff participate actively in decision making

    Minimum Qualifications, Experience and Skills Required

    • Qualification in Health/ Social Sciences
    • At least 5 years’ experience in project or operations management
    • At least 5 years’ experience in HIV or public health environment
    • Able to demonstrate ability to update and maintain a data repository
    • NIMART Certificate advantageous
    • Computer Literate – MS Office Packages (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel & PowerPoint)
    • Excellent Communication skills and ability to speak one of the local languages
    • Valid driver’s license essential
    • Innovative, organized, analytical and excellent interpretation data skills
    • Knowledge of HIV/AIDS prevention and community health issues
