The Protection Services Officer Specialized role is a specialist position that conduct criminal and departmental investigations within Anglo American Platinum. The role reports to the Protection Services Senior Superintendent and is expected to apply best practices in investigative techniques in order to identify and apprehend suspects, recover losses and advise on the minimization breaches of security.
This is a team supervisory role and will be responsible for supervising and developing the team of Protection Services members, within an Anglo American Platinum Operation to ensure that they perform their duties and that employees and assets are protected within the law. Investigation support and emergency protection duties will be part of the activities of this role.
Personal risk is a factor in the role due to criminal investigations, armed response, VIP - and product escorts and Counter Industrial Action situations.
This role is at our Operations at a C4 level reporting to the Protection Services Senior Superintendent.

The operational risk management (ORM) business process is a key business process supporting the achievement of operational objectives at Anglo American Platinum (AAP) operations. The Operational Risk function with AAP supports the organisations capability to manage risk and exploit opportunities. The purpose of this role is to provide technical leadership in developing, maintaining and curating the technical discipline/engineering standards that are applied by all engineering staff engaged in delivering technical products or services in the Ignite™ Incubation function. The role works in conjunction with the Technology Incubation and Research Leads to coordinate the processes, systems and structures required to ensure scientific and engineering best practice is followed, technical quality requirements are met, systems are standardised and regulatory compliance achieved.
The Technical Lead will also liaise extensively with the Ignite™ Commercial Technology Group to provide guidance and feedback on the implementation and effectiveness of appropriate standards and processes to ensure that equipment designed by the Ignite™ Incubation Group may be successfully and reliably manufactured by the Ignite™ Commercial Technology Group.
