    SHEQ Administrator

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Minimum Grade 12,
    • Diploma or Degree in Health and Safety essential.
    • 4 Years’ experience in Health and Safety
    • Knowledge and experience in Hazards Identification and Risk Assessment.
    • Knowledge of Macsteel Fluid Control range of products and the necessary documentation flow.
    • Must be fully computer literate with excellent knowledge of MS Office, RMA to lodge claims and Magnitude
    • Ability to take responsibility and accountability.
    • Be able to work in a pressurized results driven environment.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Ensure all statutory Health, Safety and Environmental standards are met at branch level.
    • Review and update SHE Procedures and Policies of the company, including SSOPs and HIRAs.
    • Compile monthly SHE reports.
    • Implement and maintain monthly safety meetings.
    • Ensure that all accidents and incidents are reported and investigated.
    • Ensure that all corrective measures identified during investigations are recorded and implemented.
    • Reporting of incidents to the DoL as per Section 24 and assist with all incident investigations and documentation required: relating to any incident.
    • Maintain all documentation related to the OHSA.
    • Prepare for and execute toolbox talks.
    • Conduct daily plant inspections and provide feedback.
    • Perform safety audits to ensure compliance with Sheq standards.
    • Ensure contractors meet the legal requirements as set by the OHS Act.
    • Ensure safety files for contratcors are submitted and meet the legal requirements.
    • Ensure safety inductions are completed for all employees according to regulations.
    • Control and monitor all areas to ensure processes are followed with regards to minimizing waste.
    • Identify and provide feedback on cost saving initiatives within area of control.
    • Provide technical information as per product specification.
    • Conduct on and off site inspections.

    Quality Control Inspector - Project

    Minimum Requirements

    • Minimum qualification – Matric / Grade 12
    • Must be prepared to go for further training
    • Good communication skills on different levels
    • Experience in quality control department – minimum 2years experience
    • Must have good knowledge of Valves, Fittings and Pipes
    • Muat have knowledge of coating systems, welding and threading
    • Must be able to read and interpret drawings
    • Must be computer literate (Microsoft)
    • Must be able to use measuring equipment
    • Prepared to work overtime and shifts
    • Must have a valid drivers license
    • Muat have knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensuring that the quality of all material is in accordance with QCP requirements and related Specifications
    • Inspecting material at Sub-contractors according to QCP and Specifications
    • Ensure inspections are done at all hold points of QCP (Customer requirements)
    • Compile documentation for data packs and final sign off of project pack
    • Communicate progress of projects and contracts daily
    • Following up on inspection requirements
    • Ensure all onsite inspections are recorded on spec sheets and reports
    • Report to quality supervisor with results of inspections and any deviations which may occur
    • Ensure that segregated material is recorded and in progress of repair
    • Follow up on quality problems when required

    Quality Assurance Supervisor

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering , Qaulity Management of a related field.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in quality assurance and process improvement, preferably in the steel industry.
    • Proven experience in managing quality assurance processes and driving process excellence in a large scale, complex environment.
    • Strong knowledge og quality management systems (QMS) and standards such as ISO 9001.
    • Proficiency in quality assurance methodologies, tools and techniques eg Six sigma, lean manaufacturing.
    • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Quality Management System
    • Maintain ISO 9001 requirements.
    • Ensure ISO 9001 requirements are compiled to.
    • Collate and submit relevant reports and supporting documents as per industry norms.

    Quality Assurance

    • Initiate plan, perform and coordinate internal and external quality audits. Submit audit reports with findings to the management team. Ensure corrective actions have been implemented.
    • Develop, implement, control and monitor all quality assurance policies and procedures.
    • Report on the performance on the Quality Management System and recommend areas of improvement.
    • Raise relevant non-conformance reports (NCR’s) and ensure NCR’s are addressed adequately.
    • Investigate customer complaints and implement remedial actions where required.
    • Analyse trends and performances.
    • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Ensure specifications are enforced and irregularities are rectified timeously.
    • Ensure all non-conformances are identified and resolved.
    • Co-ordinate claims and ensure timely close-out and resolution

    Technical

    • Evaluate testing requirements from customers.
    • Ensure all non-standard services or products are evaluated, captured, and approved or not approved and relevant feedback is provided to internal and/or external stakeholders.
    • Investigate product failures and recommend remedial actions.
    • Conduct customer visits to validate complaints of non-conforming products

    Customer Quality Assurance

    • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to address customer quality concerns.
    • Implement processes to capture and analyse customer feedback related to product quality.
    • Lead investigations and implement corrective actions for customer complaints.

    Supplier Quality Management

    • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards.
    • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
    • Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and drive improvements.

    HR Officer I

    Minimum Requirements

    • NQF Level 6 Diploma / Advance certificate in Human Resource Management is essential or
    • NQF Level 7 3 year degree / Advanced diploma in Human Resource Management is advantageous
    •  5+ Years Human Resources Administration experience is essential

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Recruitment Administration:

    • Submitting job specs to managers/supervisors to review
    • Advertising of positions onto the Company's Recruitment Portal
    • Shortlisting, Setting up and Convening interviews
    • Carry out reference and iFacts Checks for all successful candidates
    • Book Pre-Employment Medicals, SHEQ & HR Induction
    • Generate and issue regret letters to unsuccessful candidates
    • Complete the full on-boarding process on Vision 
    • Book Probation period onto the manager's calendar for all new and promoted employees
    • Conduct Induction for new employees as well as annually for all employees

    Time Management Administration:

    • Check and ensure all time cards for the different departments are fixed and balance
    • Ensure all overtime approvals are submitted and checked against the overtime worked on Kronos
    • Check current week's absenteeism for any desertions
    • Generate sms for absconded employee as per Company policy and procedure
    • Process AOD's timeously and submit to payrolls
    • Ensure leave balances on System and Employee file are correct and maintained
    • Ensure payroll input is submitted to payrolls within the required timelines

    HC Administration:

    • Provide assistance, advise and support on employee benefits
    • Provide effective and efficient administrative support to relevant internal stakeholders
    • Submit employee listing to Clinic and SHEQ Departments on a monthly basis
    • Ensure all employee files are up dated and correct
    • Ensure all documents are filed timeously
    • Scan and Save documents onto the Server
    • Co-ordinate Macsteel related HC initiatives at Branch level
    • Support various HC related projects

    Training Administration:

    • Manage and execute all training 
    • Ensure all training is captured and maintained on the System
    • Update and maintain the Skills Plans continuously
    • Ensure all legislated training is up to date and is conducted timeously
    • Scan and Save all training records, certificates and registers onto the Server
