    Project Financial Accountant

    Role responsibilities

    • In this position, you will join our financial business, where you will play an integral part in a team of highly skilled specialists that ‘bring ideas to life’ for our clients across all types of financial projects.
    • Apply your sound understanding of Project Financial Accounting.
    • Assisting the unit leader to manage the finances of the unit, registering projects, revenue recognition, following up on debtors, adjusting project budgets, and analysing the Income Statement.
    • Ensure all unbilled WIP is invoiced timeously.
    • Assist with compilation of information used for monthly reporting and annual budgets.
    • Processing of journals and invoices.
    • Ability to successfully handle project accounting for multiple projects.
    • Strong organizational, planning and prioritization skills.
    • Sound knowledge of accounting systems
    • Apply your very good interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently (self-starter), as well as part of a group.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    Minimum requirements

    • 3+ years of Project Accounting experience
    • BCom Finance Degree preferred

    Project Management Administrator

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Provide administrative support to the project team including the regional manager.
    • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
    • Organize, attend, and participate in stakeholder meetings.
    • Document and follow up on important actions and decisions from meetings.
    • Assisting with the updating of project plans and compilation of tenders.

    Minimum Requirements

    • Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Project Management, or related field
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in project administration roles, preferably in the construction industry
    • Strong understanding of project management principles
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
    • Exceptional communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
    • Proficiency in project management software tools, databases, and MS Office.
    • Ability to work well under pressure, often to tight deadlines
    • Detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to perform with a high level of accuracy

    Bulk Material Handling Engineer

    Formal Qualification

    • B Eng or B Tech or BSc (Mechanical Engineering)
    • Diploma - Design and Operations of Belt Conveyor or Belt Conveying of bulk solids
    • Bulk Transfer Chute Design and Modelling Certification
    • Professionally Registered as an Engineer with the Engineering Council of South Africa

    Experience and Competency requirements

    • Professionally the successful candidate will have an Engineering Degree or relevant qualification, and relevant experience including experience of lump sum turn-key type projects, EPCM projects and studies in the mining and materials handling sector
    • Delivering front end engineering study work
    • Technical design and design management experience
    • Mechanical design experience
    • Relevant project management and/or engineering management and/or design experience in relation of large projects in a mining, industrial or energy environment.

    Marine and Ports Technical Director

    About the Role:

    • We are looking for a Ports & Coastal Technical Lead to co-create an engineered impact in the Ports and Coastal environment. 
    • Someone that will augment our multi-disciplinary team in leading technical delivery of our ports and coastal projects.  Our projects cover the full project lifecycle from conception to execution.
    • Our Ports & Coastal team works in close collaboration with the rest of our multi-disciplinary teams in co-creating impactful projects for our clients.

    Role responsibilities 

    • The Port and Coastal Technical Leader position is a Technical Leadership role in the dynamic Zutari Resources Market (or division), where we work with mining companies, logistics companies and the broader transport sector, across Africa and the Middle East. 

    Responsibilities will typically include:

    • Managing Delivery of Zutari’s Port and Coastal projects
    • Contribution to winning work via bids and proposals.
    • Managing designs from concept to detail design.
    • Design leadership, review and verification.
    • Nurturing client relationships.
    • Mentorship and development of the Ports & Coastal team.
    • Active coordination and interfacing with different stakeholders, multi-disciplinary teams, and clients on multi-disciplinary projects.  

    Minimum requirements 

    • Qualifications relevant to marine engineering (B.Eng, and M,Eng,)
    • Professional registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) with at least 10 years’ experience in the relevant field. 
    • Ports and coastal engineering design experience.
    • Familiarity with international codes and standards related to marine and coastal design as well as structural analysis.

    The following are deemed beneficial:

    • Coastal and/or Port Planning experience
    • Knowledge in / experience of metocean modelling (e.g. wave modelling with SWAN)
    • Project experience in both Africa and the Middle East (Advantageous)

    • At least 4 years’ experience with development finance or climate finance
    • Experience in selling climate change services, business development and client management.
    • Experience with national and international lender and financing mechanisms (e.g., GCF, GEF, etc.)
    • Good understanding of national and international green climate finance landscape, policies and protocols, including Paris Agreement articles on climate finance
    • Must be technically competent and comfortable with MS: Excel and mathematical equations.

    Senior Industrial Civil Engineer

    About the role:

    The position we are recruiting for is a role at the level of a Technical Specialist or Senior Civil Engineer.  This is a combined management and technical role.  In this instance our preference is to deep technical skill and business development experience.  Responsibilities will typically include:

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide civil work expertise’s in complex, Mining, Industrial, petrochemical and/or Energy Infrastructure projects.
    • Lead and manage Civil Engineers and designs on integrated projects. This includes building a team of diverse experts in the field of Industrial Civil Engineering.
    • Use management skills to ensure delivery of high-quality outputs.
    • Comfortable in stormwater run-off, bulk earthworks, sewer, and potable water designs

    • Use design and project management software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Projects
    • Take ownership and commit to your own ongoing learning and professional development.
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary technical teams.
    • Be accountable for financial performance and quality of projects or elements of projects one leads.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Demonstrate deep technical skill, particularly in civil earthworks, run-off. Sewer and potable water designs, as well as working in multi-disciplinary teams.
    • MSc/BSc or MEng/BEng in Civil Engineering (Advantageous)
    • Minimum 10 years or more’ relevant experience
    • PrEng or PrTech
    • Experience with industrial clients (mining companies, manufacturers, Oil & Gas companies) as design leader, designer and /or engineering manager (advantageous).
    • Evidence of having led technical teams (advantageous).
    • A passion for delivery of high-quality technical outputs and working collaboratively with other team members and the client to deliver excellent project outcomes.
    • Excellent communication skills (proven ability to interact well with personnel at all organisational levels)
    • Excellent organisational skills (ability to plan and implement) and Time Management skills.

    Other advantageous skills:

    • Publications of work/projects in the form of papers and articles, noted expert in the field of Civil Engineering.
