    F45 Maintenance Artisan Fitter

    Description

    • To safely carry out preventive maintenance and repairs to the plant in line with planned, unplanned, breakdown and documented work

     

    JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

    Safety, Health, Environment and Quality:

    • Participate and comply with SHEQ Requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)
    • Ensure adherence to health, safety, environment, risk and quality standards and requirements
    • Comply with OHSA standards, statutory regulations, conform to safety standards, housekeeping standards (5S) and planned maintenance system requirements
       

    People:

    • Ensure co-operation as a team member during team activities and tasks

    Customers:

    • Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering a first time right service to them 

    Business Processes:

    • Apply fault-finding techniques, assist with root cause failure analysis
    • Maintain, repair and replace mechanical parts, components and equipment
    • Execute breakdown work orders, create notifications, perform daily work order confirmations, provide accurate feedback and generate orders on the SAP system
    • Performing work in a safe and reliable manner ensuring the highest level of workmanship
    • Conduct regular plant inspection and report non-conformance and deviations to standards to Supervisors
    • Monitoring the operational conditions of machinery and equipment
    • Carrying out routine maintenance on a production equipment and tools to ensure legal and operational compliance
    • Communicate if spares, equipment or other factors were not available for job on the work order and to the Maintenance Supervisor
    • Work from heights and in confined spaces and follow the various procedures related to such
    • Perform general housekeeping as part of the relevant tasks allocated
       

    Rotable Management:

    • Change out item
    • Create PM order detailing item to be drawn from stock
    • Create reservation for rotable on PM order
    • Create subsequent notification
    • Complete all fields on the “Damage” tag on the return item to rotable store
    • Physically transport damaged rotable to lay down area

    Maintenance Artisan Boilermaker PSP

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To safely perform fabrication, development and plant repairs/modifications as required for optimal operation of plant.

    •  Participate and comply with SHEQ requirements (SHEQ Toolbox)

    •  Utilise the Information Management System (IMS) to initiate, investigate and report SHEQ status

    BUSINESS PROCESSES 
    Work execution:

    •  Fabricate low and high level mechanical work pieces 
    •  Weld fabricated work pieces 
    •  Apply fault finding techniques
    •  Conduct routine plant inspections
    •  Complete a breakdown order on SAP & draw spares from stores if needed
    •  Create a notification on SAP, new or subsequent.
    •  Provide correct feedback on SAP
    •  Perform work in a safe and reliable manner ensuring the highest level of workmanship
    •  Perform the job as outlined in the Work Order and as per the detailed Task List
    •  Capture history & complete the notification to the required standard
    •  Confirm Work Order with the correct time and all details to the required standard
    •  Provide feedback to the Maintenance Specialist on any task where there is a difference between the task instruction and the job requirements
    •  Communicate if spares, equipment or other factors were not available for job on the work order and to the Maintenance Supervisor 
    •  Generate Notifications from inspections and subsequent Notifications
    •  Support the Planning KPI’s by adhering to planning schedules
    •  Perform standby duties (Own transport will be required)
    •  Work overtime as and when required
    •  Any other tasks required

    Unplanned Interventions:

    •  Perform isolation and issue lockout documents
    •  Attend to breakdown quickly and safely
    •  Capture all data related to the stoppage to aid in determining the root cause
    •  Communicate ways of improving how the breakdown was handled to the Maintenance Specialist

    Rotables Management:

    •  Change out item

    •  Minimum of three (3) years’ experience gained in a heavy industrial environment after completion of Trade Test
    •  Valid Driver’s License (minimum B/ Code 8)

    Description

    • To sample final product and receive and prepare all samples delivered to the Laboratory according to prescribed sample preparation procedures
