    Merchandise Allocator

    Job Summary:

    • RPO Recruitment is currently hiring a dedicated and detail-oriented Merchandise Allocator for our client in the retail industry. As a Merchandise Allocator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring optimal merchandise allocation and inventory management to maximize sales and customer satisfaction.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • To allocate stock according to scientific and demographic criteria.
    • Ensuring optimal allocations based on units received and type of product to avoid over and under stocks in stores.
    • To replenish stock according to store sales.
    • To ensure stores do not run out of stock when stock is available.
    • To ensure stores are not over stocked.
    • To ensure stock is replenished timeously
    • To rectify uneven distribution of stock.
    • To ensure optimal sales by ensuring stock in the correct stores.
    • To ensure cost constraints are adhered to.
    • Identify stock that needs to be marked down / promoted / repriced.
    • Markdowns to be communicated to the relevant stores.

    Qualifications:

    • Grade 12
    • 3-5 years in an allocator role
    • Proficient in MS Office-Excel and Dolfin
    • Previous experience as a merchandise allocator in the retail industry.
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
    • Proficient in merchandise allocation software.
    • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
    • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
