    Senior Industrial Electrician

    About the Job

    • We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Senior Industrial Electrician for our Generator division to join our team. If you have a passion for precision, problem solving, and electrical and mechanical excellence, then this opportunity is perfect for you.
    • As an Industrial Electrician you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our electrical machinery and equipment. This is a great chance for you to put your knowledge and skills to work.

    Duties include but are not limited to the following:

    Industrial Electrician Responsibilities:

    • Conduct electrical and mechanical fault finding
    • Install and program of generator controllers and communication gateways
    • Ensure electrical regulations and codes are adhered to
    • Perform electrical work ranging from simple to complex
    • Install, troubleshoot and maintain power distribution systems and controls
    • Compile scopes of work for electrical installations
    • Review stock levels
    • Conduct inspections and testing on electrical installations
    • Oversee and perform preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical installations.

    Emergency Generator & Refuelling Management:

    • Manage monthly generator inspections, test runs, load tests, tracking of replacement parts, remote monitoring and oversee new generator installations.
    • Inspections of generators
    • Manage and oversee a team that refuels generators and general housekeeping of the generators.
    • Managing the scheduling for annual services.
    • Monthly generator management reports.
    • Arrange for the acquisition of diesel supplies and arrange for delivery thereof.
    • Provide reconciliation of diesel purchase to the diesel supplied
    • Attend generator failures during normal and after hours.
    • Keep record of company vehicle refuelling.
    • Daily routine generator monitoring system checks.
    • Ensure that newly installed remote equipment and installations are up to standard
    • Meet contractors on site to oversee Installation

    Technical & General Support:

    • General investigations on site to assist with queries
    • Site investigations and reporting for new generator services.
    • Keep record of quantity of materials used
    • Oversee contractors and provide updates of project status in the absence of Technician

    Qualifications:

    • Trade Test must be completed (non-negotiable)
    • NQF Level 4/5 as Industrial Electrician, or
    • Certification as a Millwright based on national standards

    Experience and Knowledge:

    • Proven experience as an Industrial Electrician
    • Hands-on experience working on generators
    • Good at adhering to strict safety guidelines and cognizant of safety risks
    • Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve generator issues

    Talent Acquisition Administrator

    About the Job

    • An opportunity has become available for a Talent Acquisition Administrator to join our Human Resource Department.
    • The incumbent will work closely with the Recruitment team and HR team to provide an administrative support
    • The role would suit a motivated administrator with a high degree of attention to detail and/or keen interest in working in Recruitment and Human Resources.

    Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Maintaining Talent Acquisition Administration tracker spreadsheet and ensuring that everything is actioned in a timely manner
    • Providing a customer-focused service to applicants and managers, responding promptly to queries received through on the Talent Acquisition tracker spreadsheet
    • Prepare employment contracts with necessary documentation (dummy payslip, job descriptions, etc)
    • Extend offers to successful candidates verbally and in writing
    • Induction and onboarding of new employees and logging of relevant internal forms to ensure that all the departments are up to date with any new joiners
    • Complete relevant vetting checks and filing in all vetting papers with candidates who meet the expectations of the job
    • Obtaining telephonic references for successful candidates
    • Organise, compile, and update company personal records and documentation
    • Manage and update the HR database with different information
    • Updating all HR logs and systems with any new starters and leavers
    • Assist with weekly and monthly reporting
    • Ensure that Recruitment Letter of Appointments and Job Descriptions are kept up to date
    • Draft change in conditions of employment, promotions, and increase letters
    • Provide admin support to the HR team

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Completed Tertiary Degree (Advantageous)

    Experience and knowledge

    • Proven experience in a Recruitment or HR administrator support role
    • Experience of, or familiarity with the full recruitment and selection cycle
    • Computer literate - experience with the use of the Google Suite preferable (Google Drive, Sheets and Docs)
    • Able to complete a complex administrative task with less supervision

    • Strong multi-tasking, organisational, and time management skills
