    Trainer

    Key Purpose

    This position reports directly into the (Head of L&D Team) overseeing all training within the team and will be responsible for but not limited to the following areas:

    • Vitality Induction for new starters.
    • Soft Skills /Behavioral training identified from Individual Development Plans (IDP’s).
    • Preparing the business for Future World of Work skills.
    • Delivery of product upskill to the Servicing and Operations teams and supporting other areas.
    • Conducting the required assessments for the above areas.
    • Provide Learner support.

    Key Outputs

    • Plan, conduct and evaluate training interventions, as well as deliver training regarding launches of systems and new products.
    • Ability to use blended learning solutions.
    • Pilot the course.
    • Schedule and plan learning sessions in accordance with company / service team requirements.
    • Deliver Training sessions /program.
    • Provide learners with practical application opportunities. (Practical application during and post training).
    • Provide Formative and Summative assessment feedback. (Feedback on any assessments or developmental areas picked up on assessments / QA reports)
    • Complete all required administration.
    • Provide timeous feedback regarding learning to all relevant stakeholders.
    • Measure impact of learning intervention.
    • Involve stakeholders in training intervention impact analysis.

    • Knowledge of MS Teams, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint.

    Data Steward

    Key Purpose

    • To oversee the safe transport, timely delivery, storage of data and the management of data operations for the relevant business unit. Assist in building data operations framework to enable the responsibilities listed below and the creation of a Vitality data policy.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    • Interact with our business leads and other stakeholders to establish information needs
    • Conduct data analysis and data profiling on various source systems
    • Defining various data rules for the business and ensures high level of data quality, integrity, availability, completeness, consistency, privacy and compliance to those rules by the data owners

    Ensure data flow through all processes and platforms is running correctly, both in terms of data collection, integration, processing and quality

    • Maintain timetable of all critical processes and all data movements
    • Monitor these data movements through recons and/or exception reports
    • Escalate all abnormal movements to business for resolution
    • Monitor and trend failed data transfer processes with production support

    Resolve data quality issues in partnership with business operations teams and other Data Stewards or Data Operations Teams.

    • Run exception reports and recons as per business timetable and distribute to business
    • Engage with business daily to drive the resolution of any issues from these reports
    • Assist with proactive data analysis regarding these exceptions

    Monitor and manage data quality across business systems

    • Collate, analyse and theme data quality issues
    • Create or log new exception reports and recons to prevent these issues from reoccurring and add them to the operations schedule
    • Create and update regular data quality report/dashboard for management showing new issues raised, issues resolved, aging of issues and themes causing recurring data quality issues.

    Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of all data processes causing data quality issues

    • Using themed data, conduct root cause analysis of data quality issues
    • Participate in engagement with business to understand current processes and its limitations
    • Advise on corrective actions to people, processes, systems and data operations to correct these limitations
    • Participate in remediation projects
    • Monitor data quality after correction to ensure that the process is now optimal

    Ensure the quality of service; responsible for data consumer support

    • Assist in data analysis of Vitality data when and where needed
    • Ensure that reports and processes are of high quality and are run by production support.
    • Document data operations and monitoring solutions in clear, concise guides
    • Understand data access requirements and assist production support, data operations, application owners and business where needed
    • Develop KPI framework
    • Coaching on an ongoing basis to improve adoption of data standards
    • Define data standards
    • Support implementation of the data standards
    • Track key metrics related to compliance to central data standards and policies
    • Support development of KPI framework
    • Demonstrate active ownership of master data domains, processes, and procedures
    • Maintain expertise on overall use of data, including the global data dictionary
    • Facilitate governance over subsets of data to ensure quality across business processes through collaboration with other Data Stewards and Data Ops Specialists
    • Act as a subject matter expert for any projects/new processes that rely upon or affect data quality
    • Creating/editing requirements, data dictionaries, process maps and data lineage/mapping
    • Developing an understanding of the metadata captured to manage data and participate in the creation of metatdata
    • Establish a standardized approach to capture and document metadata issues across all assigned data domains
    • Define and roll out group data standards
    • Monitor compliance to data standards

    Template Developer (Junior)

    Key Purpose

    • The Template Developer will support group-wide projects and / or ongoing BAU with the creation, testing, and deployment of templates, for email, print, and SMS. The role requires technical understanding and execution of Business Specifications, working with the Business Analyst to ensure all business requirements are met, with zero defects.
    • The correct / relevant template solutions (for print, email, SMS) must be used, and care taken to ensure absolute accuracy. The development and deployment of templates is at a Group level, and the importance of care in creating the correct communication type is vitally important.

    Areas of responsibility may include but not limited to

    Source Code:

    • Develop, test, and maintain the source code for templates created, with high quality
    • Perform accurate development estimation
    • Consult with BA and System Architect on technical issues encountered.

    Unit Test Code:

    • Conduct unit testing, and fix any defects found. Review error logs and provide BA with updates on fixes found in testing.
    • Consult and assist the BA in reviewing defects found in testing.
    • During Test Standby duties, handle any defects as raised in the testing process.
    • Release the source code with zero defects

    Peer Review Report:

    • Participate in the process of reviewing code for consistent application of standards, logic and effective use of libraries and reusable aspects of the application.
    • Can help with quality assurance and provide comments
    • Offer support and guidance to peers

    Defects root cause analysis:

    • Respond to incidents escalated by the Incidents team. Log issues in the appropriate issues tracking system. Conduct preliminary analysis on issues.
