Duties and Responsibilities;    

• Ensure that all scheduled maintenance on plant equipment is undertaken within the prescribed timeframe to minimize equipment failure.
• Ensure that pellet mills are correctly set and lubricated.
• Responding to all mechanical breakdowns timeously to ensure minimum downtime.
• Attending to all assigned daily job cards as per required timeframes.
• Ensuring that all duties are carried out safely and ensuring good housekeeping within work areas.
• Reporting all critical and urgent defects and /or spares requirements to the maintenance Foreman and attending to them.
• Carrying out standby and after-hours duties as required.
• Carrying out any other related tasks as assigned by foreman and assisting other artisans when required.

Minimum Requirements;    

• Qualified Artisan with Trade Test Qualifications (Red Seal)
• 3 years maintenance/project experience in a production environment.
• The candidate must be able to adapt to changes in the environment they work in.
• Excellent mechanical aptitude.
• The candidate must be a self-starter able to take responsibility for his work and section.

Minimum Requirements;    

• Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
• Maintenance Management Qualifications.
• Qualified Artisan.
• Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment with specific experience of managing the maintenance department.
• Must be dynamic, flexible and have sound technical skills.
• Sound communication skills and ability to work under pressure.
• Must be prepared to work overtime (during the week or weekends) when required.
• Must be computer literate.
• Own transport with valid driver’s licence.

Duties and Responsibilities;    

• Manages the complete maintenance function.
• Supervision of all maintenance staff on a daily basis and the quality control of all work.
• Planning for and allocation of all maintenance related work.
• Ensuring that maintenance staff always adheres to all company policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with legal requirements.
• Planning and coordination of projects
• General staff morale and discipline.
• Drive Electrical and mechanical improvements to equipment and processes.
• Manages PRAGMA information to ensure productivity of Staff and equipment (Preventative Maintenance Program).
• Manages stores to ensure proper stock holding.
