    Senior Professional Officer

    Requirements

    • A relevant B Degree in built environment profession or Facilities Management
    • 5 -8 years in Facilities Maintenance Projects
    • Experience in drafting maintenance plans is required
    • Experience in Project management is required
    • Experience in Mechanical and Electrical work
    •  (advantageous)
    • Driver’s Licence
    • High degree of computer Literacy

    Key Performance Areas

    • Co-ordinates and controls the repairs and maintenance, fault finding and infrastructure upgrades of all the Water and
    • Sanitation buildings, facilities & depots.
    • Planning and scheduling maintenance programmes and evaluating outcomes, monitoring and attending to deviations in productivity.
    • Ensuring that project stages are scoped, planned, completed and managed in terms of project management principles.

    Assistant Professional Officer - District Spatial Planning Fixed Term Contract

    Requirements

    • A professional degree in Town Planning/City and RegionalPlanning or equivalent (4-year undergraduate or postgraduate Master’s degree);
    • Must be registered (or in the process of being registered) as a Candidate Planner by SACPLAN (South African Council for Planners);
    • Up to 2 years’ relevant experience in the field of spatial planning, with at least 6 months’ experience in the development of district or local spatial plans;
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills;
    • Experience in assisting with the compilation of forward planning frameworks and/or planning policy;
    • Basic knowledge of GIS or similar mapping software; and
    • A valid Code EB driver’s license

    Key Performance Areas

    • Contribute to the research (data gathering, mapping,
    • surveying and interviewing), compilation (interpreting base line information), drafting and implementation (guiding development proposals using said policy/framework/strategy) of spatial plans, integration zone frameworks, and development guidelines for local areas within districts;

    • Providing spatial planning input and guidance to public investment / development proposals;
    • Support the planning, identification and prioritisation of:
    • key capital public-led investment projects required to implement district and local spatial plans and;
    • key interventions that are required to facilitate/ align strategic private sector development in the district;
    • Research and identification of tools or mechanisms to enable Transit Oriented Development (TOD) or implementation of spatial plans and investment frameworks; and

    Key Performance Areas

    • A B.Tech or Bachelor in Architectural Studies or Urban Planning, recognized by the relevant professional accreditation body

    Assistant Professional Office - Technical Services

    Requirements

    • A 4-year tertiary qualification in Water or Environmental Management (Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biology or Water and Wastewater related field).
    • MSc or PhD Degree will be an advantage.
    • A minimum of 1 year relevant experience is required as per KPA’s.
    • 1 to 2 years’ experience in ISO17025 accredited water laboratory

    Requirements

    • Relevant BTech, National Diploma or first degree, (preferably in Auditing, Accounting, Public management).
    • Project management certificate will be advantageous
