    Fund Accountant

    Job Description

    • My client is a well-established, leading asset manager has an exciting opportunity for a qualified CA(SA) to join their private markets business as a Fund Accountant. The successful individual will be an analytical, detail focused and pro-active individual.  

    Responsibilities: 

    • Oversee operations of outsourced fund accounting and administration
    • Communicate with facility agents for calculations, invoices, receipts and capital payments on unlisted debt 
    • Manage expenses and relevant authorization, payment allocations of supplier invoices  
    • Work closely with other teams to secure smooth disbursement of funds to loan partners in line with requests 
    • Key operations contact person for private debit fund audits
    • Manage fluidity levels within the fund, with reference to receipts, disbursements due and fund expenses 
    • Oversee management and performance fees 
    • Resolve credit fund performance and investor queries 
    • Manage relationships with outsourced suppliers 

    Requirements:

    • Newly qualified CA(SA)
    • Financial Services experience is essential
    • Previous experience within Fund Accounting would be advantageous  
    • Ability to manage a variety of tasks and priorities
    • Must be a good team player, who is able to work well with limited supervision

    Finance Tax Manager

    Job Description

    A well-renowned consumer finance business has a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Tax Manager. The primary purpose of this role is to support and facilitate all corporate tax functions. The successful incumbent will be responsible for ensuring compliance with tax laws regulations in all jurisdictions in which the group operates.

    Responsibilities:

    • Manage applications for direct and indirect tax rulings
    • Manage tax reporting and submission deadlines
    • Prepare and / or review technical tax papers
    • Review existing and implement new policies for changes in tax legislation
    • Managing the month end process and submissions
    • Maintain relationship with SARS and tax advisers
    • Delivery of audits without material queries
    • Manage and review the status of the month end close
    • Internal and external stakeholder management

    Requirements:

    • 4-6 years working experience within a Tax role 
    • BComm (Accounting) or equivalent
    • Financial services or credit retail experience is essential

    Financial Operations Team Leader

Ideal candidates will have financial services experience, with previous exposure to financial controls in the LISP, Manco, Life and Retirement Funds space.

    Job Description

    • Exciting opportunity for a Fund Accounting Team Leader to join a well established team! This team is tasked with providing end to end, fund administration services in the alternative funds space. . 

    Responsibilities:

    • Oversee the team and the allocation of funds, including reallocations of current or new funds
    • Assess monthly/quarterly valuations before release to Fund Manager and clients 
    • Release payments resented for signoff 
    • Facilitate training of fund administrators within the team 
    • Maintain relationships with Private Equity clients
    • Manage documentation controls 
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders for queries, projects and requests 
    • Manage client service and delivery to all Private Equity clients 
    • Collaborate with relevant internal teams regarding onboarding of new funds 

    Requirements:

    • Minimum of completed tertiary qualification BComm / Honours (Accounting, Commerce, Financial) CA(SA) or CIMA preferred
    • Must have a minimum of 2 years in a previous fund accounting team leader position
    • Strong MS Excel skills as well as Fund Administration accounting systems experience 
    • Strong understanding of Private Equity and the  alternative administration fund environment

    • Strong IT systems knowledge i.e. advanced MSExcel, BDA, JSE Systems
