    Technical Superintendent - Area A

    Main Purpose of the Job

    Responsible for managing and expanding relationships with key accounts within the mining sector. This role involves delivering high-quality customer service, overseeing the installation and repair of safety equipment, managing staff efficiently, and growing the business by cross-selling to existing customers and generating new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have experience in auditing, inspecting, and maintaining Booyco engineering specifications and standards on client installations, testing and verifying new hardware, drafting and reviewing software specifications, and preparing supporting technical documentation. Additionally, this role includes performing and recording customer technology demonstrations.

    Education, experience and competencies

    • Matric and bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Electronics, and/or Electrical Trade (Red seal)

    Responsibilities:

    Technical Management:

    • Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems and equipment used

    • Ensure Product Specialists receive training to stay updated on the latest technologies and product changes.

    Negotiate Compliance and Safety:

    • Monitor and enforce compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
    • Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment and systems to address any issues or hazards.
    • Maintain and update safety records and reports.
    • Assist in coordinating safety training and meetings.
    • Participate in incident investigations related to potential product failures and oversee Root Cause Analysis (RCA).

    Operational Support:

    • Manage company pool cars by checking logbooks and booking services as needed.
    • Compile accurate Installation Data Packs for all new and current installations.
    • Regularly review and implement Installation, Maintenance, and COC manuals, ensuring compliance through audits.

    Customer Service:

    • Provide excellent customer service to clients, vendors, and visitors.
    • Handle inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers through professional conduct and regular communication.
    • Liaise with the Account Manager to follow up on customer invoicing, delivery dates, and payment collection details.
    • Support clients with technical issues on-site.
