    Specialist: Technician | Europcar | Jet Park Depot

    Job Description    

    • A leading car rental company, Europcar is looking for a Specialist: Technician to join their team at the Jet Park Depot.     Position Overview    

    • The purpose of the position is to perform maintenance to vehicles in order to ensure a fleet of vehicles which are available, reliable and safe to operate.

    Specific Role Responsibilities    

    • Perform maintenance and repairs to vehicles on fleet across a diversity of different brands.
    • Diagnose and inspect for defects or required repairs.
    • Carry out scheduled services and maintenance as necessary and planned work as required.
    • Supervise others involved in maintenance tasks where a team effort is required to complete a task.
    • Advise the workshop manager of any major repairs or replacements to the vehicles.
    • Perform admin duties relevant to the role.
    • Maintain inventory control by completing necessary admin for booking out parts and adhering to process in place for this.
    • Maintain lube controls.
    • Complete reports to report problems and work performed.
    • Maintain safe and clean working conditions.

    Qualifications and Experience    
    Minimum Experience:

    • 4 years workshop experience (if unqualified).
    • OR
    • 1 years experience as qualified workshop Technician.

    Minimum Qualification:

    • Grade 12/ Senior Certificate

    Preferred Qualification:

    • Qualified trade Technician/ Tertiary education relevant to national motor trade.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Basic computer skills – essential.
    • An unendorsed drivers’ license – essential.
    • Technical competence across diverse brands – an advantage.

    Note:

    • The role is shift-based and also includes weekends as per a rotational roster, allowing for 4 consecutive days off over a 3-4 week period (rough estimate).
    • Successful candidates must be willing to work overtime (if required).

    Workshop Storeman | Europcar | Jet Park

    Job Description    

    • Europcare is seeking a highly organised and detail oriented individual with parts and Audatex system experience to join their hardworking Jet Park branch as a Workshop Storeman. If you feel you are the right person for this opportunity we look forward to receiving your applications.

    Position Overview    

    • The purpose of the position is to support the achievement of the branch’s financial and customer service targets through ensuring that every renter drives a vehicle that is clean and quality assured to our high standards, and through delivery of efficient and professional customer service. To ensure the availability of parts for vehicle repairs and processing all storekeeping transactions accurately and timeously through the execution of predefined work objectives as per agreed standard operating procedures.

    Specific Role Responsibilities    

    • Order parts from dealers.
    • Receive ordered stock, unpack and bin stock.
    • Inspect and insure parts are received without damage.
    • Ensure correct items are delivered.
    • Ensure sufficient stock at all times and replenish when required.
    • Update parts and cost price on system as soon as stock arrives.
    • RFC ordered parts if not used within dealer permitted time frames.

    Qualifications and Experience    

    • Grade 12.
    • Valid, unendorsed code 8 driver’s license at least 2 years old.
    • Must be fully bilingual and able to communicate with customers effectively in English.
    • Computer literate (Excel - a must).
    • Sufficient in Automate part system.

The focus of this role on leading people, achieving results and driving business growth, responsible for Lindsay Saker Kempton Park,  Motor  experience needed.  The successful applicant will report to the Managing Director.

    Main purpose.

    • To formulate tactical strategy and associated delivery plans related to the dealership, ensuring practice Integration and operational implementation through the achievement of maximum efficiency and profitability of the dealership and the set objectives.

    Generic outputs.

    • To develop strategies to drive dealership revenue, profitability and market share in the relevant area.
    • Develop and implement people capacity plans in line with delivery, performance objectives and budget, in partnership with specialised areas across the value-chain.
    • To achieve and exceed financial targets as per agreed budget 
    • Optimally manage and control the cross-functional areas in the dealer.
    • To formulate and implement Dealership practices in compliance with legal requirements, MOTUS guidelines.
    • To manage assets of a dealership optimally (cash control/flow, liquidity, stock, debtors, creditors, etc).
    • To provide effective leadership and people management in order to attract, develop and retain high quality and success orientated dealer staff (DP's key focus is to act as an effective 'manager of managers').
    • To ensure customer acquisition and retention via customer focused interventions in the dealership.
    • To generate enthusiasm and set an appropriate brand example in line with the franchise standands
