    Retail Technical Field Engineer

    Job Description

    HSEQ:

    • Ensure adherence of HSEQ procedures by contractors and staff.
    • Ensure compliance to Construction Regulations, HSEQ Company rules and ICC requirements
    • Analyse audit reports conducted by HSEQ and take corrective action, in conjunction with business owners to close findings,
    • Ensure that only contractors with valid contracts are used.
    • Compliance with TOTAL Group ICC Policy

     
    Reporting:

    • Ensure Sales & Marketing adhere to the agreed Maintenance process.
    • Ensure Annual Site visit is conducted with Territory Manager for each Service Station.
    • Ensure that all site non-conformance are reported to Retail Maintenance Manager within 24hrs
    • Own a commanding understanding of the Evarisk / Invariant standards for Sales& Marketing.
    • Present your regional performance at the Monthly Maintenance Business review Meeting:
    • Number of NFT done / Number of station
    • Top 10 flop sites action plan per your allocated region
    • Preventative Maintenance Status (number of sites completed per Group / number of Station)
    • Allocated Project Status
    • HSE

     
    Maintenance:

    • Ensures preventive maintenance is carried out as per set schedules.
    • Review Preventative Maintenance  reports on Daisy WW and take corrective actions
    • Develop and drive the Pump replacement project in your respective region.
    • Ensure that all contractors’ performance is measured against the contracts on a monthly basis.
    • Ensure that the maintenance Policy, Procedure and Processes are adhered to.
    • Ensure the effectiveness   of the Maintenance strategy is monitored and reviewed frequently   (Preventative Maintenance).
    • Ensure Contractors adhere to the NEMO contract (PM and CM).
    • Ensure improvement plan for your respective NEMO Group is conducted.
    • Conducts random audits and quality inspections of maintenance work to ensure compliance to standards.
    • Participates in the reception of the main construction sites and implementation of SFS concepts (carwash, restaurant,)
    • Anticipates the replacement of obsolete equipment in order to promote a preventative maintenance approach (maintenance investments).
    • Ensures the overall follow-up and treatment of work requests (curatives) in terms of quality and delay (compliance with SLAs).
    • Adapts the maintenance according to the segmentation and the nature of the activities (fuel distribution, washing, shop, ...)
    • Follows on monthly basis the budgetary expenditure in relation with the management control to anticipate / justify possible deviations.

     
    Customer Service :

    • Ensure that all maintenance is completed as per the agreed time frames.
    • Ensure that accurate costing is submitted to business within the agreed time.
    • Ensure that you meet with business once a month to keep them up to date on their maintenance programs.
    • Attend and present at the Sales Manager Monthly meetings.

     
    Maintenance Projects:

    • Ensure that you have full control over all projects in your project portfolio by following the Total engineering project procedure.
    • Ensure that your entire projects are completed on time by creating and managing project programs for all allocated projects.
    • Ensure that all your projects are completed within budget by managing your project financials.
    • Ensure that the contractors, Project managers, Consultants, architects and equipment suppliers adhere to their performance targets, deadlines and budgetary guidelines.
    • Ensure proper management of project documentation including technical drawings, posting of the assets under construction to assets register and control of legal and municipal approvals.
    • Implement the maintenance policy build on optimization of contracts, sustaining investments and investments to reduce the risks, adapted to sites profitability and lifetime expectation.
    • Prioritization and scheduling of expenses, control of works performed by contractors
    • Analyzes the statistics allowing the monitoring of the contracts (compliance with the performance obligation).
    • Carries out an Annual Technical Visit (ATV) in collaboration with the Territory Manager and the tenant
    • Receives and analyzes intervention reports issued by service providers.

    Context and environment

    • He/she is responsible of Corrective and preventative maintenance of all the equipment and installations. He/she carries out the investments to make the sites compliant to the regulation or to the Total Group Standards and all the small investment works required by their Retail customers according to the allocated budgets in the Limpopo Region.
    • The perimeter covers 70 to 100 Retail service stations in Limpopo, However the Engineer will be required to give assistance to the Neighbouring regions.
    • Deploys the HSEQ policy and is the custodian of compliance to regulation.

    Candidate profile

    • Qualification: S4 or BTech in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering
    • 2 – 3 year experience in petroleum engineering,
    • Sound experience in the Engineering , Construction and Maintenance
    • High level of autonomy and problem solving skills,
    • Real capability to manage the workload and efficiency in the work done,
    • Proactive and available at any time,
    • Clear and concise written and verbal communication,
    • Ability to work within a team made of customers, purchasers, head-office organisation.
    • Sound Knowledge of the local legislations, group and International Standards in relation to the oil industry
    • Valid Driver’s license

    Plant Assistant IVT

    Job Description

    The Logistics and Transport team is looking for a Plant Assistant for the IVT (Island View Terminal) area to join their team.
    As a Plant Assistant, you will be responsible for the following activities:

    STRATEGY

    You will be responsible to carry out the operations of the Terminal within the framework of relevant legislation and regulations governing the Industry  thus ensuring high customer service levels with the aim of contributing to the effective management and efficient operation of the terminal.

    KEY RESULTS

    • Dip tanks and record dips/ temperature accurately.
    • Ullage, and load tank cars
    • Assist with tank / valve preparation for product receipts.
    • Attend to COC customers, contractors and other visitors requiring service, and carry out administrative duties related to these services.
    • Monitor and report any unsafe conditions and acts to immediate supervisor.
    • Conduct minor maintenance with guidance from Supervisor
    • Ensure that the premises are kept clean and maintain housekeeping standards.
    • Comply to Terminal safety procedures and work instructions.
    • Shift handover completed as per TOM- TOM requirements
    • Supervise barge loading
    • Perform any other duties as reasonably requested by the Supervisor / Manager.

    HSSEQ

    • Supervise the HSSEQ and security of the terminal to ensure constant adherence and compliance to the Company’s standards, any local by-laws and government legislation. This to minimise all risk pertaining to the company’s assets and stock, be an excellent corporate citizen, remain operational and ensure the safety of all people.
    • IMS Implementation – responsible as element champion/or supporting appointed element champions
    • Handle any operational crises and problems pertaining to the Terminal by activating contingency plans and advising all affected parties so as to avoid any/minimal disruption of the operational activity in the Terminal.
    • To comply to site rules
    • Contribute in achieving all set HSSEQ objectives (see attached Performance Objectives)
    • Assist in the implementation of Process Safety Management (PSM) at the Terminal

    LEGAL

    • Comply to OHS-ACT 1 Appoint 8.2i b) legal compliance to national, environmental and local laws c) appointment and monitoring of Health and Safety Committees (including: Safety Officer, Fire Team and First Aid)
    • Assist with the Optimising of TSA’s use of Terminal’s assets and ensure compliance to NERSA licence conditions.

    GOVERNANCE

    • Ensure effective risk management and internal control, including asset management, for area of responsibility
    • Carry out the operations of the Terminal within the framework of relevant legislation and regulations governing the Industry thus ensuring high customer service levels with the aim of contributing to the effective management and efficient operation of the terminal

    Context and environment

    • Controlling the drivers of the transport contractors particularly regarding misconduct, e.g., spillages.
    • Trouble-shooting/fault finding on Terminal equipment when minor technical problems are experienced.
    • Establishing the most appropriate storage facility for the drain back of returned product.
    • Ensuring consistent implementation, to Total’s standards, by the various outsourced transporters’ staff servicing the Terminal.
    • Ensuring the highest awareness and application of HSSEQ and security standards on a constant basis due to the serious risk and impact an incident can have on the Company, both internally and externally (e.g., lives of people, Company image, working capital, assets, legislative, environment and social-factors).
    • Investigating product losses due to inaccurate admin or loading of product.
    • Poor system response time and regular downtime exacerbates time management and ensuring workload is completed timeously.

    Candidate profile

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Matric or Diploma/BTech in Engineering / Logistics
    • 0-3 years experience gained in a petrochemical, production, and warehousing or industrial environment
