    Cash Management Administrator

    Job Description

    • As the Cash Management Administrator, you will ensure the execution of all bank reconciliations.

    More of your responsibilities will include:

    • Conduct all vendor payments based on an approved funding proposal.
    • Ensure timeous receipt and approval of vendor funding proposals.
    • Ensure verification of high value invoices and banking account details
    • Execute all vendor payment schedules accurately and timeously
    • Timeous and successful release of vendor payments
    • Manage the creation of manual payments e.g. SARS
    • Investigate and close out queries related to rejected, unpaid payments, blocked payments or other vendor exceptions
    • Conduct selected reconciliations and clearing of Non-PO vendors
    • Identify opportunities and trends for improving processes related to vendor payments
    • Prepare journals accurately and timeously
    • Assist the Supervisor to pro-actively meet targets and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, audits, and attestation
    • Collaborate with all stakeholders to meet targets e.g. Accounts Payable and Treasury
    • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, audits, and attestation
    • Execution of specified bank reconciliations
    • Accurate and timeous clearing of matching open items
    • Investigate and timeous resolution of uncleared and residual open line items
    • Accurate and timeous reconciliation/analysis of specified bank accounts
    • Identify and review any trends related to bank reconciliations

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Diploma/ Degree in Finance or related field

    Experience

    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a financial services field
    • Experience working with commercial banks (Advantageous)

    • Protection of Personal Information Act, No 4 of 2013
    • Emerging knowledge of applicable finance systems, specifically SAP S4

    Integrated Planning Specialist

    Job Description

    • You will take on the responsibility for short and medium term planning, converting the monthly S&OP plan and weekly demand rail and production forecast into a sales schedule that manages risk and optimises value for Thungela.

    More of your responsibilities will include:

    • Consolidating the overall medium-term plan for sales, considering the production plan from operation and various logistic plans
    • Providing input into the detailed logistics plans taking sales and production constraints into consideration as well as ensuring the tonnages for sales are released timeously while considering risks and quality
    • Developing the daily schedules from the S&OP plan and developing the monthly sales plan
    • Receiving and providing data to the team so the integrated plan over the 3 weeks planning horizon (Strategic, Tactical and Schedule execution) can be completed
    • Providing advisory services at the pre S&OP meeting regarding volume for sale, 3rd party coal, quality issues, scenarios and risk analysis
    • Collaborating and engaging with the operations, logistics, port, and sales team to ensure correct product is being sold, loaded on the vessel/ truck and that the quality and quantity is correct
    • Developing tactical plans to manage any potential contractual constraints while providing detail communication to the sales team
    • Monitoring quarterly sales volumes versus plan, and identifying and managing risk opportunities
    • Ensuring adherence to plan and escalating the risks to plan as the arise to ensure that revenue and forecast are inline
    • Performing the daily, weekly, and monthly book balancing/ tactical activities
    • Validating the execution of required scheduling activities in line with Marketing processes
    • Developing and leading improvement projects related to tactical planning
    • Advisory authority to mine planning on product, volume, inventory and quality requirements while supporting the mine planning team on buffer stockpile management requirements
    • Responsible for the weekly Tactical Planning meeting where advisory services will be provided to key stakeholders on best practices and best course of action and opportunities
    • Ensuring contracted sales are within the market prices and indicated through various publications while investigating compliance as well as identifying cost improvement opportunities

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree/ Btech Engineering, Logistics,  finance or related Discipline (NQF 7)

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Planning and scheduling logistics in a complex mining environment
    • Experience in rail shipping and road logistics
    • Sales and Marketing experience in a global company
    • Experience in production/ metallurgy role in a thermal coal environment preferred (advantageous)
    • Additional Information
    • Proficient knowledge and experience in a Mine environment
    • Proficient knowledge of Coal Markets, stakeholders, trading, and logistics
    • Advanced knowledge of planning techniques and tools, specifically within mining or logistics
    • Advanced knowledge of data analysis and reporting techniques, processing tools
    • Proficient understanding of the marketing and metallurgy value chains, financial concepts, and appropriate risk management
    • Proficient knowledge of commodity marketing, specifically related to bulk commodities
