    Inventory Controller (Wadeville)

    Purpose of the Position

    The effective management of inventory received, stored and dispatched to ensure OTIF delivery of quality products and achievement of financial imperatives as well as act as the custodian of the Warehouse Management System at a site level.

    KEY RESULT AREAS

    • Ensure the cost-effective inventory management of all goods
    • Check depot days of cover daily and communicate with Planning if required
    • Report all stock outs to depot, sales and Planning as well as liaise with planning to resolve any stock issues
    • Plan correct storage location for products in liaison with Logistics Manager/ Inventory Clerk (ABC Analysis)
    • Plan and create Physical Inventory Documents for monthly stock counts as well as reduce write-offs and losses to a minimum
    • Ensure optimal stock availability and stock rotation
    • Help enable superior customer service as measured by On Time In Full (OTIF)
    • Maintain the highest possible level of customer service, while effectively ensuring that all customer complaints are dealt with swiftly and efficiently
    • Ensure strict adherence to corporate governance in terms of stock movement and documentation in accordance with the ICC and Audit controls, Quality Control and inspections
    • Ensure that Risk audits and Quality control audits are conducted at the branch
    • Understanding, implementation and adherence to internal control measures such as ICC, ISO requirements and Operations Excellence
    • Ensure quality control checks on receipt of stock and before dispatch of stock
    • Ensure FEFO principle is applied to stock movements by printing bin pulling sheets for warehouse
    • Knowledge of adherence to stock age policy, ensure that all concessions are raised and approved
    • Knowledge of adherence to product recall policy
    • Administer the execution of the product recall process at site level
    • Perform all administration and reporting effectively
    • Ability to accurately conduct daily and monthly physical inventory counts
    • Ensure that system and site preparation is completed in order to enable effective stock counts
    • Ability to generate and action pre-stock take reports.
    • Ensure that all stock adjustments prior to starting stock take are processed, including sorted containers.
    • Ensure the daily compilation of stock packs and have packs approved by the relevant parties
    • Ensure that the route settlement corrections have been processed correctly
    • Ensure that stock write offs and variances are actively managed
    • Ensure that all post goods issues have been processed for all deliveries and driver corrections
    • Responsible for the reconciliation of invoices to shipments and deliveries daily
    • Ensure that no deliveries have been issues without shipments. All proof of delivery notes need to be checked and accounted for. All invoice queries need to be corrected and resolved.
    • Responsible for the follow up of all inter depot in transit shipments
    • Ensure that missing, broken and foreign surveys are conducted according to policy, and captured daily. All missing, foreign and broken must be communicated for follow up with the customers. Responsible for charging the depots / drivers / 3PL’s for the shortages.
    • Responsible for the financial controls of ensuring that the stock postings are posted to the correct accounts, variance commentary is to be compiled and submitted to management with trend analysis.
    • Ensure that Operational Costs cents per liter cost is contained through continual investigation and improvement of asset utilization
    • Improve business processes to ensure achievements of Business Objectives

    EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

    • Valid Matric Certificate
    • Relevant 1 – 2 year Diploma, Degree or qualification in Logistics / Supply Chain

    PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

    • Minimum of 6 months relevant experience in FMCG Logistics / Distribution Environment
    • Computer literacy in MS Office, SAP and SuccessFactors
    • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and sound presentation skills
    • The ability to work after hours and/or shifts if necessary

    Regional Analyst

    Analysing trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to predict future revenues and expenses. Reports organisation's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget/forecasts.
     
    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic & Financial Results
    • Ensure a cost effective and efficient financial support platform to provide a value-adding business control function.
    • Assistance with year-end activity and associated tasks for financial reporting.
    • Assist with interim tasks. (Quarterly and bi-annual)
    • Timely submission of publications with minimal queries.
    • Support the strategic business control team with insights for month end, budgets and rolling forecast.
    • Co-ordinate the Regional business planning process in line with global principles and value creation.
    • Assist in Co-Ordinating the Capex and Fixed expense budget and forecast process within Sales, Marketing & Distribution
    • Assist Head Office Finance in managing Gross to Net Revenue, including scenario planning and execution as well as the budget control thereof.
    • Circulate guidelines on the preparation of budget and forecasts to the respective stakeholders and support the management of deadlines accordingly.
    • Evaluate validity and accuracy of detail budget working papers.
    • Assist and guide cost centre owners with financial information, proper variance declarations.
    • and the interpretation of expenses in Sales, Distribution and Marketing
    • Ensure that the volume for budgets and forecasts are compiled in accordance with actual trends and future developments, this should be circulated to DC & TX managers in a timely manner.
    • Highlight areas of concern in OPEX or variances and recommend corrective action where applicable. (Risks and Opportunities)
    • Assist the Sales team in ensuring and managing and improving customer profitability and Gross Profit

    Operational Results

    • Responsible for the operational cost management of the sites
    • Maintain discipline for financial processes and procedures within the regional Sales, Marketing and Distribution environment.
    • Conduct Regional Audits and prepare audit reports indicating irregularities, weaknesses, and risks.
    • Understanding the operational costing models and supporting the final sign off with Logistics and Regional Operations Managers’ by ensuring variances or queries are flagged timely.
    • Ensure accuracy of Master data for regional Sales & Distribution
    • Tracking and Reporting of the Marketing Funds Management as well as campaign phasing
    • Report on the status of the capital budget and manage and co-ordinate asset verification.
    • Analyze previous months / year expenses to ensure the completeness of budgets.
    • Assist with managing the insurance claim process and the associated monthly accounting of insurance related items.
    • Prepare the various Sales, Marketing and Distribution KPI analyses and evaluate trends.
    • Assist business with accounting related queries, month end processes, compiling journals & commentary.
    • Perform financial analysis and generate insights which support business decision making
    • Ensure site complies with ICC (Internal controls), self-assessments, stock takes and internal audit programs.
    • Ensure proper control exists with regards to findings from investigations and the associated recommendations
    • Manage ad hoc commercial requests across the Regional Sales, Marketing and Distribution functions.
    • Co-ordinate and evaluate monthly Internal Control Checklists
    • Assist external and internal auditors during audits.
    • Ensure capital workflows are completed accurately and follow the correct authority matrix for approval.
    • Drive a strong corporate governance foundation across the region through business partnering.

    Customer & Relationship Results

    • Build effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders.
    • Assist with training and finance capability development of key stakeholders.

    Education and Experience

    • Relevant post graduate Commercial/ Financial qualification
    • At least 5 years relevant work experience (FMCG will be an advantage)
    • Managerial experience would be advantageous
    • Project management and change management experience would be advantageous.
    • Fully computer literate in SAP and MS Office (advanced Excel skills)
    • Experience in financial reporting software packages, SAP, CIL and BIP will be beneficial.
    • Good communication skills, both verbally and written
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
    • Must be innovative and self-driven.
    • Attention to detail and analytical abilities are essential.
    • Strong decision making and problem-solving ability.

    Maintenance Foreman

    Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to the following:

    • Ensure routine, preventive and corrective maintenance of machinery and equipment on the packaging lines and related equipment.
    • Improving machine efficiency and overall equipment efficiency of packaging equipment
    • Input into departmental and lines’ maintenance budgets
    • Ensure spares usage and associated costs are optimised.
    • Managing people
    • Performance management of staff
    • Health and Safety Supervision
    • Managing shuts and smaller packaging line-related projects
    • Drive E2 (World class) practises- 5S, VM. TW, FI, with particular emphasis on Asset Care (AC)
    • Ensuring job cards are effectively completed, updated (if required), controlled and administered in conjunction with the Planning office.
    • Adherence to Service Level Agreements established with Packaging.

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

    • Knowledge of packaging/ bottling equipment
    • Have proven verbal and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of safety regulations regarding tools.
    • Knowledge in FMCG environment will be an advantage.
    • Knowledge of all workshop/engineering tools, machines, apparatus and materials.
    • Computer literate, SAP, MS Word & MS Excel
    • Ability to work independently and under pressure.

    Requirements:

    • Recognised N6 Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering Certificate and a trade test certificate.
    • Knowledge of bottling equipment, workshop and engineering practises, tools and apparatus.
    • Minimum of 5 years practical exposure with Supervisory experience.
