    Data Systems Support Specialist

    Work Description

    • Provide field Software and Hardware support to Data Management Teams on Electronic
    • Systems used for Data collation at Facility and Sub-district level

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Conduct hardware assessments of all Facility IT
    • Equipment used specifically for capturing data  Install Anti-Virus to ensure all PC’s are regularly updated
    •  Review all Operating Systems and test functionality
    •  Perform installations of Health Information System Electronic Tools (Example: TIER.net)
    •  Support all Health Information Systems
    •  Trouble shooting and problem solving
    •  Install Router, test wireless connectivity and configure networking
    •  Internet connectivity assessment
    •  Provide basic first line support for Facilities
    •  Log all support calls with the IT Service Desk at Aurum and DOH
    •  Software assessments at all Sub-Districts offices or facilities where there are Electronic
    • Health Information Systems implemented
    •  Develop a training module and provide training to all the District ICT Coordinators
    •  Develop a training program for District and Sub- Districts and mentor the ICT Coordinators in implementing rolling out training to the District 
    •  Implement a support and maintenance procedure to assist with call logging procedures and provide first line support
    •  Support the Data Management Team in all data management functions
    •  Adhere to all data management SOP’s, guidelines and confidentiality agreements

     

    Requirements
    Education

    •  Diploma in Information technology
    •  Grade 12 or NQF 4 qualification

    Experience

    •  Experience in Electronic Systems used in DoH Facilities

    Requirements

    •  Proficient personal computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping, and routine
    • database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics
    •  Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office package as an End User
    •  Understanding of XML and SQL
    •  Overnight travel may be required
    •  Own car for business travel
    •  Valid driver’s license
    •  SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
    •  Willing to work overtime

    Driver Level I

    Work Description

    • Provide safe secure and timely driving services for the day-to-day operations of the Company, including driving the mobile units to ensure access of HIV prevention and testing services to employees outside the workplace. This position is responsible for proper running and maintenance

    of the vehicle.

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    •  Maintenance of Company Vehicle
    •  Provide safe transport services for all business requirements
    •  Manage the maintenance of the company vehicles and units
    •  Assist with any other activities at the testing sites as per line management
    •  Assist with HIV and TB testing
    •  Drive vehicle for official travel and business, or as requested
    •  Implement punctuality and safe transport sound navigation skills
    •  Observe road and traffic laws and regulations
    •  Adhere to safe driving practices including local driving codes and internally agreed standards
    •  Ensure vehicle repairs are carried out properly by official manufacturers specifications
    •  Perform minor repairs
    •  Logbook maintenance

    Requirements
    Education

    •  High School diploma/Gr 12 (NQF Level 4)

    Advantageous

    •  Safe Driving Course or Similar

    Experience

    •  3 years driving experience

    Requirements

    •  Valid code A Driver’s license
    •  Valid Professional Drivers Permit (PDP)
    •  Understanding of specimen handling and transportation
    •  Fluency in local languages (Zulu, Setswana, English, SeSotho, Xhosa, Afrikaans)

    NIMART Nurse

    Work Description

    • The NIMART Nurse is responsible for providing holistic and comprehensive HIV AIDS clinical care to Patients and performing Clinical Procedures and administering processes according to professional protocol.

    Technical Work Responsibilities

    • Conduct HCT testing indoors and outdoors (Mobile, gazebo) on a daily basis
    • Obtain medical history
    • Physical examination of Participants, including pelvic, genital and rectal examinations
    • Drawing of blood and other specimens
    • Monitor vital signs
    • Syndrome management of conditions
    • Dispensing of medication
    • Assessing the results and refer Participant for further treatment where necessary
    • Dispense ARV medication
    • Monitor ARV RX adherence and educate on lifestyle modifications
    • Manage Participants on a regular basis to monitor side effects
    • Referral of Participants for further investigations including x-rays, sonars etc
    • Provide a Counselling Services:
    • Conduct pre-and post-counselling service to each participant
    • Provide educational assistance and advise
    • Perform daily quality checks and data counselling
    • Active participant management

    Requirements
    Education

    • Bachelor’s degree / diploma in Nursing
    • Registration with South African Nursing Council
    • Completed NIMART Course
    • Dispensing Certificate
    • PrEP Certificate
    • Advanced Diploma in Primary Health Care ( added advantage )Experience
    • Adequate knowledge of HIV / AIDS and TB patient management
    • At least two years’ experience Key Populations programme (MSM, FSW, PWID, TG, Inmates)Requirements
    • SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
    • Intermediate computer skills
    • Drivers Licence
    • Own Car
    • Minimal/Moderate/Excessive overnight travel (up to 30%) by land or air if required
    • Willing to work overtime
