    Network Engineer

    Description

    • This role will also need you to be the escalation point for the Tier 1 resource. (but are not limited to):

    MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    • Remote IT Network troubleshooting and support, predominately layer 2;
    • Logging and updating calls via the ticketing system;
    • Interaction with other providers and service providers;
    • Interactive relationship with management;
    • Maintenance of Security, IT and Environmental networks on all sites;
    • Maintaining Wi-Fi on all sites;
    • Maintain the Network backup tool;
    • Involvement in the design of the network & maintain network documentation;
    • Configuring, Installing and maintaining of network switches;
    • Management & implementation of Clearpass switch configurations & implementation of device configuration updates;
    • Comply to all policies and procedures, including strict compliance to Teraco’s information security policies and procedures;
    • Identification & escalation of information security risk, as it relates to network and other areas of responsibility;
    • Incident response and management; Problem resolution within agreed timelines;
    • Afterhours user support, as per the standby roster.

    • Windows Server and Windows 10/11 experience - advantageous
    • Technical competence and understanding is vital;
    • Valid South African Driver’s License;

    Data Centre Technician

    MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    Data Centre Management

    • Comply to working methods ensuring all SLA and MSA’s are achieved
    • Management of data centre infrastructure to provide a concurrently maintainable, cost effective system supporting 99.999% electrical uptime and 99.99% mechanical uptime

    Compliance

    • Maintain compliance in accordance to all relative policies and procedures
    • Meet agreed inter-departmental OLA (Operational Level Agreement)
    • H&S monitoring and corrective action to meet statutory compliance, SLAs and good business practice

    Critical System Management

    • Ensure applicable planned and corrective maintenance is managed in accordance to ensure customer MSA’s and SLA’s are achieved
    • Conduct working methods to maintain agreed PUE levels
    • Task finalisation and report accurately, as per agreed format, quality and within the agreed timelines
       

    Data Centre Ethics

    Cost Controller

    Purpose of the role

    The Cost Controller will:

    • Drive value creation from suppliers and contractors;
    • Work with the finance team to develop standard price lists and rate cards for ongoing procurement and expenditure;
    • Tender out smaller projects;
    • Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and contractors;
    • Carry out monthly financial reviews of actual costs incurred against budgets and updated forecasts;
    • Assist in the monitoring and manage performance of suppliers and contractors in accordance with commercial terms of contracts;
    • Manage commercial impact of any scope variations;
    • Negotiate terms and final accounts with suppliers and contractors.
       

    Main Function of the Role

    • Drive value creation from suppliers and subcontractors: Work closely with Operations and Project Managers to drive value creation for Teraco by managing suppliers and contractors on operational sites and projects.
    • Budgeting: Prepare project cost analysis based on operational requirements, estimates and labour required. Work with the finance and project management teams to get cost plans approved and to track implementation. Control pricing and commercial terms through all stages of projects from installation through to ongoing maintenance, within predetermined budget and expenditure. Manage related cash flows. Report monthly to management on actual costs incurred against budgets and updated forecasts.
    • Negotiate contract terms with suppliers and contractors: Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities. Evaluate tenders from contractors and negotiate pricing and terms. Negotiate final accounts with suppliers and contractors. Maintain a database of costs to reference all new procurement against.
    • Monitor and manage performance of suppliers and subcontractors: Communicate regularly with internal operational and project teams as well as suppliers and contractors to ensure commercial controls are in place and contractors are delivering on time and in accordance with project terms. Monitor all commercial information in relation to services delivered including labour and materials to ensure budgets are adhered to. Manage any scope variations. Produce accurate formal reports to monitor contract management.

    Financial Manager

     Main Functions of the Job

     Strategic Management:

    • Provide strategic input regarding various aspects of the business processes and long-term business plans
    • Ensure that the organisation’s financial systems, procedures and controls are effective and operating as designed
    • Oversee, manage and guide a team of finance professionals

    Revenue Management and Collections:

    • Full management and oversight of the revenue business cycle and monthly billing runs
    • Oversee monthly billing of clients as per client MSAs and timelines

     Annual Financial Statements:

    • Preparation of Annual Financial Statements
    • Disclosure and accounting treatment in line with IFRS
    • IFRS implementation of new standards
    • Statutory accounts administration for group subsidiaries
    • Working alongside external audit to ensure an efficient and timely financial audit

     Taxation and statutory compliance:

    • Performing preliminary annual and provisional tax computations and assessments, including indirect taxes
    • Working with tax advisors in finalising tax computations and regulatory filings

    Tax planning
     

    • Operational Finance:
    • Day to day working capital management and planning of payments based on funds availability
    • Manage transfer pricing issues for the subsidiary and associated customers
    • Cost due diligence of all quotations of Vendors/Suppliers
    • Verification and approving capex creditors before making payment
    • Verification of monthly VAT calculations for submitting for filing with SARS
    • Developing external relationships with appropriate contacts, e.g. auditors, bankers etc
