    Head, Working Capital Credit

    JOB DESCRIPTION

     To provide overall Credit guidance, direction, and support of the Working Capital Solutions portfolio, with specific focus on Trade Finance, Debtor Finance, and other working capital solutions. To aid in development of effective and appropriate working capital solutions in support of Business & Commercial Clients (BCC) asset growth targets, with a specific focus on Trade Finance, Debtors Finance, and other working capital solutions.

    To comprehensively manage the credit risk performance of the Trade Finance, Debtors Finance & other working capital credit portfolios (as mandated) for BCC, specifically in respect of originations, scored/ automated credit lending strategies, assessment of credit risk if required, sanctions, fulfilment, credit risk management, account maintenance and involvement in distressed and high-risk accounts in keeping with the BCC Group credit policies and guidelines.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Qualification Required:

    • First Degree in Finance and Accounting
    • Strong qualifications in the field of finance and accounting. Preference for additional training in Banking, Legal, and leadership.

    Experience Required: 

    • More than 10 years in credit evaluations experience, specifically in Trade Finance & Debtors Finance, but also in general business lending for Business or Commercial segment and Entrepreneur or small businesses. Deep understanding of credit principles and financial statements, particularly as relates to funding of working capital requirements.  Understands collateral and collections processes.  Understands risk processes. Previous Structured and Specialised Lending credit experience is an advantage

    Head, Data Build & Governance

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    The Data Engineer will be responsible for expanding and optimizing our data and data pipeline architecture, as well as optimizing data flow and collection for cross functional teams. The Data Engineer will support our software developers, database architects, data analysts and data scientists on data initiatives and will ensure optimal data delivery architecture is consistent throughout ongoing projects. They must be self-directed and show portfolio of evidence supporting the data needs of multiple teams, systems and products. The Data Engineer will construct data acquisition, warehousing and reporting solutions. The role is also expected to provide technical solutions in response to the needs of stakeholders by interpreting business requirements; defining solution; defining build and test tasks; constructing solutions; performing testing; participating in the deployment of solutions and ensure the systems meet immediate business requirements by providing third tier support and constructing enhancements to systems in Production. The role should construct and document solutions according to applicable architecture, solution designs, standards, policies and governance requirements; utilize DevOps practices and tools as member of an agile team with T-roles; clearly define tasks with delivery effort estimates; contribute effectively to lean management practices and iteration ceremonies; provide third Tier support when required and deliver enhancements to Production systems in the Data Management Feature Team portfolio. To extract, transform and load financial and non-financial data from source onto the financial data mart for respective projects assigned in order to support MI requirements across CHNW SA. To ensure that all financial or non-financial data loaded reconciles back to source and financial systems in order to enable accurate reporting for respective projects assigned. To support the reporting requirements by way of data pulls, queries, and automating processes / tasks, by creating reports, scorecards and dashboards for respective projects assigned.

    Officer, Debt Restructure

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • To assess and evaluate short term restructure solutions for distressed clients across segments (whether in the performing, early arrears or non-performing loan category) based on sound restructure, risk assessment and financial principles and policies which minimises the risk and reduction of credit losses to the Bank.
    • This includes Restructures on Home Loans, VAF, Unsecured Products (Personal).
    • Determine the best possible repayment, restructure solution for the customer and the Bank to prevent customers from being handed over to legal action and subsequent write-off of debts.
    • Also includes identifying where the customer would benefit from the Bank’s Easy Sell Offering and Debt Consolidation Offering facilitating same.
