    Accounts Clerk

    Job Description

    • Provide support to the accounts and finance department
    • Respond to general accounts queries, e.g., invoice queries, requests for Telkom Account details from IT, and refer or escalate to the relevant person or escalate when required
    • Address general queries from stores, e.g., banking of cash sales, speed point machines, Bank reconciliation checks
    • Capture monthly credit card statements on to Excel spreadsheet, follow up on any outstanding slips with the relevant credit card holder and escalate to line manager
    • Perform re-conciliation on credit card statements and slips received, process journals in on F&O system
    • Process all allocated COD payments weekly on Tuesdays and Thursdays and address any queries with line manager
    • Address COD queries, e.g., confirmation and proof of payment requests
    • Download bank statements and capture statement details on F&O
    • Verify every Tuesday, against the Banking Compliance Report that all stores have completed their banking as per store banking schedule and escalate any non-adherence to the relevant Area Manager
    • Escalate any non-adherence to store banking schedule to the relevant Area Manager and National Operations and Sales Manager
    • Address any cash and card payment queries with the store, assist where possible, and where no explanation is available escalate to the relevant Area Manager

    Requirements 

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification required
    • Studying towards or in possession of a B Com, Diploma or Certificate in Finance, or related qualification required
    • Experience working in an accounts department required
    • General finance, admin, accounts department experience required
    • 1 - 2 years experience with reconciliations within a retail environment required
    • 1 - 2 years experience capturing and verifying data required

    Creditors Clerk

    Job Description

    • Assist with capturing invoices for all Autograph warehouse receipts (National and International)
    • Capture all container details presented on the packing list onto system
      • Verify invoices against the packing slips
      • Investigate any discrepancies and implement known solutions
      • Escalate all areas of concern to line manager
    • Process inter-company invoices between Autograph and Signature
      • Verify invoices against what has been received
      • Raise any queries
      • Escalate all non-resolved matters to line manager
    • Capture banking statement details and ensure that the date on the banking statement matches the date on the system and forward for approval when required to do so
    • Assist with financial year end processes as and when requested
    • Provide assistance to the finance team as and when requested

    Job Description

    • Oversee the full Human Resource Department
    • Develop and implement a People Strategy that is aligned to the company’s overall strategic objectives
    • Develop people strategies, streamline, and design the appropriate approach, for diagnosing and enhancing organisational effectiveness and employee satisfaction
    • Support current and future business needs though the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capital
    • Ensure that Group HR policies and procedures are regularly developed, maintained, managed, legally compliant and implemented correctly
    • Maintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures
    • Develop, implement, and maintain a People Plan for all business units

    • Conduct annual salary benchmarking and reviews, and provide input to increases, package alignment and bonus structures
    • Provide input to compensation and benefit packages, needs, and trends, provide recommends and process required documentation
    • Ensure legal compliance with relevant employment, employment equity and skills development legislation
    • Identify people initiatives e.g. People Survey, wellness, and health
    • Develop, monitor, analyse and provide HR metrics including but not limited to recruitment, labour turnover, ER cases, leave, absenteeism, salary bands, performance ratings, employment equity and skills development
    • Ensure human resource records are maintain though an effective filing and retrieval system for current and historical records
    • Analyse and interpret reports, including but not limited to remuneration, benefits, organisation structure, job levels, leave management, attrition, and provide recommendations that guide decision making and proactive solutions
    • Ensure that all employee queries, requests, and grievances are addressed in a timely and courteous manner
    • Provide functional expertise in areas of employee relations, development, performance management, feedback, coaching, remuneration and benefits, and recruitment
    • Provide timely information and or upskilling for all levels of the business on HR, and related people policies, processes, and procedures
    • Partner effectively with third party service providers to deliver to business requirements
    • Effectively lead and manage a cross functional Human Resource team

    Requirements 

    • Grade 12 or equivalent qualification required
    • A three-year tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related qualification required
    • Driver’s License: code 8 is an advantage
    • Minimum ten years’ experience of which five years must be in a management role
    • Proven track record of delivery at strategic, tactical, and operational level
    • Experience working as a member of a senior leadership team
    • Demonstrated experience in various HR functional areas including recruitment at all levels, employee relations, performance management, organisation development, change management, remuneration and benefits
    • Demonstrated experience working with HR metrics
    • Knowledge of relevant labour law and HR practices
    • Proven experience working with multiple ER Cases
    • Hands on experience with Human Resource Management software including payroll systems
    • Experience in Retail or FMGC environment added an advantage
