    SAP ERP Run Service Owner

    Job description

    PLEASE NOTE THAT THE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITION ARE NON NEGOTIALBE (NO EXCEPTIONS)

    Purpose of Job /Role Intent

    • The ERP Run Service Owner for Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) leads and is responsible for the definition, creation, thought leadership and provisioning of the ERP Run capability to drive business value and support operations to ensure the Run component of the ERP solutions across Sasol. The person integrates relevant business requirements obtained from the Operating Entity Business Relationship Teams into the Run designs and Services. Focus is on excellent service delivery, stakeholder relations and high quality across the various platforms in the Run ERP space.
    • Responsible for the general health (stability and availability) of relevant SAP application services and the delivery of all contracted services.
    • Ultimately accountable, for the day-to-day operations and service delivery of Service Providers, to enable a stable Sasol IT environment.
    • Acts as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the business in addressing escalated/serious operational delivery issues with Service Providers.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience required

    • Completed Degree (e.g. BSc IT / Informatics / B Com Informatics etc.)
    • Minimum ITIL Foundation certification (preferred ITIL Service Manager)
    • A minimum of 8 years total experience with 5 years relevant experience and 5 years at management level with operational, people, financial and strategic management experience.
    • Project Management skills
    • MODP or equivalent management/leadership development programme certificate.

    Key accountabilities:

    Service Operations Oversight and Management

    • Ensures that strategies, plans and frameworks are in place
    • Ensures that service levels and expectations are defined and communicated to relevant stakeholders
    • Assist and guide with the development and maintenance of the Service Catalogue
    • Takes full accountability for the delivery of Infrastructure, Access and Autorisations and Applications services according to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operation Level Agreements (OLAs).
    • Ensures that there is alignment with BU/ Functions IT requirements
    • Ensure that Sasol continues to receive optimal value for ICT services
    • Enable the Sasol Business Units (BUs) to be successful through ICT, which is consistent and drives internal efficiency of the business

    Incident and Problem Management

    • Conducts regular service value assessments and benchmarking
    • Develop and Ensure required structures and service provider support to deliver on service levels including after hours

    Financial Management

    • Compile, manage and control forecast & spend against annual operational budget
    • Define the cost allocation model and contribute to recovery model development
    • Compile and manage a capital budget to drive infrastructure and application renewal processes
    • Compile and manage an operational budget to enable maintenance and renewal of all infrastructure and applications
    • Manage and Monitor on-going compliance to quality management and governance

    Services Assurance

    • Maintain ERP Intranet site and update document repository with supporting documentation (Including Control Evidence)
    • Identify and manage operational risk to ensure limited impact on Sasol’s business
    • Contribute to relevant meetings as defined within the Governance Structure and Management Systems
    • Take responsibility for relevant management reporting as defined within the Management System
    • Define Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all contracted services in conjunction with the Build, Service and Supplier management function
    • Execute SOD and risk reports monthly -- keep history file updated in Livelink distribute to all business owners involved action outstanding issues.
    • Responcible for System Continuity and Continuity Testing in the ERP Team.
    • Review key performance indicators and ensure that service specific improvement plans are in place where required and monitor corrective actions, where deemed necessary

    Change and Configuration Management

    • Ensures that all changes are logged and approved, risk is determine and rollback plans are defined
    • Ensures that all changes detected in the CMDB are controlled against the change log
    • Responsible for an effective change prioritisation forum and release to production (CAB) for ERP Changes
    • Accountable for a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) (Equipment register) that accurately reflects the environment, enhancing the vendor CMDBs with the business service relationships to configuration items

    Security Management

    • Ensures that all security policies are adhered to
    • Accountable for early detection and addressing of vulnerabilities
    • Ensures that all services reviewed on a regular basis in terms of security risks
    • Service Desk and Incident Management
    • Addresses relevant requirements in the tactical plans
    • Develops and maintains performance reports and daily monitoring mechanisms
    • Ensures that work instructions and Service Level Agreement (SLA) % are adhered to
    • Request Management
    • Develops a work instructions / knowledge management repository
    • Develops satisfaction measures and ensures that complaints recorded
    • Is accountable for process monitoring and ensuring that escalation mechanisms are integrated into Continuous Service Improvement

    Technology Management

    • Manage the resolution of technology incidents
    • Manage the fulfilment of technology requests
    • Manage the security of the ERP Run environment
    • Manage the Basis and Application Lifecycle Service.
    • License Management
    • Manage License allocations and cleanup in conjunction with HR
    • Manage and plan technical license requirements including operational growth and project requirements in the ERP RUN Team.
    • Update Livelink with supporting documentation
    • User and Role Maintenance
    • Manage user authorizations to minimize SOD conflicts
    • Ensure that all new SOD conflicts forwarded to business for remediation or mitigation.
    • Execute SOD and risk reports monthly -- keep history file updated in Livelink distribute to all business owners involved action outstanding issues.
    • Ensure that no new SOD risks are encountered.

    Supply Chain Analyst

    Job description

    Purpose of Job /Role Intent:

    • To lead and contribute to initiatives and projects aimed at improving supply chain performance within Base Chemicals with specific focus to IM Projects
    • To support the effective functioning of the Supply Chain function within the organisation unit, which includes spend analysis, generation of SAP reports.
    • To support the business by fulfilling the BPDS role and acting as an interface between Supply Chain, IM And SAP support teams.
    • Provide training to end users and Super Users on SAP and business processes.
    • Minimum Qualifications and Experience required:
    • Completed Relevant degree (IM qualification an advantage)
    • At least 5 years’ experience in a Supply Chain
    • Detailed SAP understanding
    • Inbound and outbound supply chain understanding.

    Core Elements of Job:

    • Develop methods to measure and report on the Base Chemicals supply chain performance (financial and non-financial), and the impact thereof on annual budgeting- and forecasting.
    • Provide intelligence and business insights for the formulation of supply chain decision-making and ensuring the sustainability of the inbound and outbound supply chains
    • To lead and contribute to initiatives and projects aimed at improving supply chain performance within Base Chemicals with specific focus to SAP Projects
    • Work with the Functional Supply chain to develop and implement initiatives which will optimise the Org Unit’s supply chain effectiveness
    • Ensure that Org Unit performance measures are aligned with Group-level DOVs, policies and procedures
    • Provide SAP support to the business. The support includes, issue/query identification and resolution as well as re-directing queries.
    • Support business in terms of the Management of Change processes for change requests. Vetting of calls logged and attend to incidents.
    • Provide Business Process and SAP Training to end users and Super Users.
