    Claims Service Consultant

    Job Description

    The purpose of this position is to process all the allocated Motor Claims and get them ready for an assessor to be appointed. The CSC will be responsible for all queries on the claim.This will include communication with the client, Intermediary and or Service Provider as well as arranging rental on the claim.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage workload and instructions from system through any communication and or documents.
    • Required to check completeness and correctness of documents.
    • Responsible for all actions to get claim assessment ready.
    • Contact client or intermediary telephonically for any identified outstanding information.
    • Required to follow up on claims to receive digital images and or any documentation necessary for Assessment.
    • Handle complaints, queries and all interaction with clients, Intermediaries, Service Providers, internal stakeholders, Relationship Managers, Claims Committee and Underwriters.
    • Process payments and orders as per Assessor recommendation and instruction
    • Responsible for arrange and manage car hire requests and extensions
    • Compiling of all rejection letters and distribution thereof to relevant stakeholders

    Qualifications and Experience

    • Matric
    • Fully computer literate (MS Office)
    • 2 - 4 years’ claims experience
    • Any previous claims handling, pre-support and or post support experience is advantageous
    • Knowledge of Abuntex, BPM and Codeplex will be an advantage

    Product Manager

    The Product team works at the core of the business to research, design and deliver offerings that our customers love. We are looking for a Product Manager to own the Mobile App (iOS and Android). Your ultimate goal is to establish JaSure as South Africa’s favourite insurance App. You enjoy moving fluidly between strategic thinking and product delivery and execution. You will report to the Head of Product and work daily with a squad of designers, engineers, testers and others. You will be the first Product Manager in a team that will be growing to three PMs by 2024. You’ll work with leaders from across the business—as well as external stakeholders—to deliver on our business goals.

    Responsibilities

    Strategic Thinking

    • Understands the company strategy and where their work fits in.

    Analytics and Technical Skills

    • Creates thorough specifications incorporating core and edge cases. Collaborates effectively with engineering on data model design and system architecture.
    • Conducts rigorous testing to ensure a high quality end product.
    • Understands and improves the App analytics environment and proactively uses data to inform design or prioritisation decisions.

    • Validates design decisions through user testing and/or research.
    • Partners closely with Design on user experience decisions.

    Qualifications and experience

    • 5+ years digital product management experience (e.g. Product Manager, Product Owner).
    • Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional experience.
    • Experience product managing a Mobile App (Android and iOS).
    • Experience in a start-up environment is advantageous
    • Business and system analysis experience is advantageous
    • Experience in Insurance or Financial Services is advantageous.
    • Experience with product analytics platforms e.g. Firebase, Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Kissmetrics etc.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication.
    • Passionate about the Tech industry and has an eye towards the future.

    Claims Handler: Marine

    What will you do?

    Under general direction, researches, collates, records and examines coverage information to make highly complex short term claim settlement determinations. Within company guidelines, approves or denies payment. May assist in training lower level Claims Clerks. 

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Understanding incoterms (contract of sales)
    • Understanding international & local trade 
    • Fully acquainted with shipping documents 
    • Able to understand standard marine policy wording including Hull & pleasure craft / Stock Throughput / Cargo Policies 
    • Fully understand the Institutes Cargo Clauses especially "A", "B", "C", AIR / Frozen Food Clauses 
    • Report all complex claims and claims over mandate to seniors based on their mandates 
    • Responsible for requesting mandated payments 
    • Assist in extracting files for diary & maintain diary control as may be requested by Senior claim specialist / team leader 
    • Involves team leader / specialist in complicated / problematic claims / large losses 
    • Appoint or forward docs to a recovery agent once claims are finalised and update recovery schedule 
    • Keeps management / underwrites updated on policies with excessive claims and trends 
    • Assist with accounts enquiries / dispatch of documents iro reinsurance claims 

    Qualification and Experience

    • Matric / Grade 12 
    • 5 - 7 years experience in general insurance 
    • 2 years in the marine industry will be advantageous
