    Team Leader: Contact Centre

    What will you do?

    • Managing the departmental SLA.
    • Manage and monitor staff adherence to schedule
    • Manage staff leave and IR Issues
    • Handling the Recruitment and Selection section
    • Occupational Health & Safety Management
    • Monitor adherence to SOP's and other set standards
    • Ensure that escalation and complaints are handled within the SLA and feedback is provide to the client.
    • Ensure that team achieves their daily, weekly and monthly productivity targets
    • Provide performance feedback to the team daily, weekly and monthly
    • Support, motivating, coaching and on the job training of the team
    • Ensure that company policies, procedures, values are adhered to
    • Performs regular audits on leave and trends, QA, wrap up codes and call transfers
    • Ensure that processes and procedures are documented and communicated effectively
    • Provide teams monthly report to management

    Qualifications

    • Matric
    • Diploma, degree or relevant tertiary qualification

    Experience & Knowledge

    • 3 years relevant experience in Team leader/Supervisor position
    • 3 years relevant experience in a similar environment essential
    • Proficiency on MS word & Excel (intermediate level) essential
    • Computer Literate
    • Communications skills (written and verbal)

    Trader

    What will you do?

    • Execution and monitoring of client trades, on behalf of portfolio managers, on the JSE and other securities markets
    • Execute orders for non-discretionary clients and achieving consistently good trade pricing in line with client instructions
    • Trading equities, unit trusts (local and offshore) and executing FX transactions
    • Reporting of trades to the Portfolio Managers and Clients
    • Overseeing trade process from execution to settlement – local and offshore
    • Participation in the branch’s investment process and generating client orders for discretionary accounts with regard to buy levels
    • At the request of Portfolio Managers; ad-hoc measurement of the internal rate of return, and/or deviation of client portfolio’s against model portfolio

    Qualification And Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
    • Registered persons and traders exams an advantage
    • An understanding of the Private Client business and the stock-broking environment

    Knowledge And Skills

    • Previous experience within Private Wealth industry will be advantageous
    • Working knowledge of X-Plan / BDA / Hermes an advantage
    • Fully bilingual (English and Afrikaans)
    • Computer literacy [MS Office]

    Actuarial Specialist

    What will you do?

    The SEM Actuarial and Capital Management function is a centralised team which provides various actuarial and capital support to the SEM cluster. The role presents an opportunity to get exposure to a diverse range of markets, businesses, cultures and stakeholders.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Calculate fair values for the general insurance, asset management and retail credit entities in the SEM portfolio
    • Mergers and acquisitions support on an ad hoc basis
    • Quarterly GEV reporting to Group, SDM, Sanlam Life, Santam and other stakeholders
    • Set hurdle rates to inform appropriate capital allocation and track RoGEV performance across the portfolio
    • Monitor and report on local and economic capital solvency for the SEM portfolio
    • Optimise the levels of capital deployed across the portfolio to support RoGEV and dividend flows
    • Assist in preparing Quarterly Business Review submissions and Actuarial reports to the SEM Finance and Risk Forum
    • Assess the impact of an economic shock on profit and fair values of the life and non-life portfolios on a quarterly basis and prepare quarterly economic shock reports for the SEM ORSA
    • Provide support to the CRO to inform the SEM ORSA
    • Monitor and produce forecast/budget exchange rates for the SEM portfolio
    • Contribute to the assessment of CAT cover requirements and renewal process for the life entities
    • Ad hoc tasks/investigations to provide management information on key value drivers in the businesses

    Qualification and Experience

    • Nearly qualified or qualified Actuary
    • 5 years + experience in a similar role
    • Knowledge of short term insurance, asset management or credit businesses will be an advantage
