    Supervisor: Cash Management & Services

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To supervise the quality of Cash Management services, general accounting and to perform other admin functions within the department.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Preparation of daily Cash Flow
    • Assist with monthly cash flow forecast 
    • Reporting to treasury team
    • Verification of bank balances
    • Arrange for credit card approvals and limits 
    • Oversees forex for international travel 
    • Daily/Monthly accruals of expenses 
    • Responsible for preparation of non-banking reconciliations
    • Reviews and approves cash flow payments 
    • Responsible for daily PEPmoney bill payments
    • Reviews bank reconciliations daily/monthly
    • Processing of ad hoc journal entries

    Requirements
    JOB INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12  (with  Accounting)
    • Accounting post matric certificate
    • 3 years practical experience in a Financial Department
    • Supervisory experience will be an advantage
    • Retail experience will be an advantage
    • SAP experience will be an advantage
    • Computer literacy: Google Suite (Intermediate G-Sheets)
    • Competencies required: Accuracy, high quality standards, performs well under pressure, motivation and listening skills, team building, service orientation, high level of integrity and drive

    Inventory Supervisor

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB

    • To coordinate the optimum operational performance of the Stock and Materials Handling department through entrenching a performance based culture of continuous improvement and health and safety awareness in line with the Sikhula KunYe Culture. 

     

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Develop and optimise workflow plans for human resources and machinery and troubleshoot any bottlenecks whilst moving stock between department
    • Applies FIFO principles and manages productivity of the department against national set standards
    • Manage the Stock/Line build department by reducing costs and increasing efficiency and effectiveness
    • Manage the movement of stock for re-pricing projects
    • Investigate reasons for DC stock losses/gains and stock adjustments
    • Coordinate regular stock audits through the use of cycle counting
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety requirements to ensure the health and safety of all personnel
    • Managing and motivating a team of Dynamo’s
    • Provide leadership and coaching within the Stock department
    • Identification of operational problems and provide recommendations to Ops Manager
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, housekeeping and rosters
    • Manage the relationships between different departments and stakeholders 
    • Refer any problems with TES staff failing to meet standards to Ops manager

    Requirements

    • At least 2 years’ experience within the Distribution Centre environment dealing with stock management and stock flow
    • Grade 12
    • Computer Literacy: G-Suite and Microsoft Office
    • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills to convey information in reports, meetings, and status reports.
    • Ability to handle a stressful and fast paced environment.
    • Competencies required: Planning, Organising and Control; Detail orientation; Ability to build and maintain relationships; Communication skills; service oriented team player; Stress tolerance and Confidence and decisiveness.

    Garment Technologist ( Underwear)

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION:

    • To provide a quality assurance service to Pep Merchandise department, Supply Chain and Suppliers.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Assessment and feedback of  fit,  pre-production and production samples from suppliers
    • Work as part of the Product Development team to create new silhouettes and shapes
    • Compile and create  technical briefs and size specifications
    • Approval/rejection of fabric testing reports
    • Communicate changes to  suppliers by providing technical feedback and diagrams 
    • Assist with the creation of  technical manuals in accordance with Pep’s processes and standards
    • Bulk audit assessments 
    • Store visits to assess quality of products delivered
    • Ad hoc duties (as contracted per project)

    Requirements
    JOB  INCUMBENT REQUIREMENTS:

    • Related Tertiary qualification plus a minimum of 3 to 5 years related industry/retail work experience
    • Industry experience (e.g. work experience in a factory) will be an advantage
    • In depth knowledge of pattern making will be an advantage
    • Experience in grading and garment fit and measuring. 
    • Thorough knowledge and understanding of underwear construction
    • Experience working with underwear garments
    • Strong commercial eye to identify fit for purpose
    • Exposure to in-house systems (e.g. Product Life Cycle Management (PLM)) or internet based systems
    • PC Literate: Google Suite will be an advantage
    • Corel Draw / Illustrator would be an advantage
    • Competencies: Confidence and decisiveness; Resourcefulness; Courage; Detail Orientation; Service Orientation; Problem Assessment Building and maintaining relationships; Communication, Negotiation and Influencing, Planning and organizing as well as Stress Tolerance
