    • Provide assistance to external stakeholders by analysing financial crime matters that lead to minimising criminal actions across the industry.
    • Highlight system and/or process deficiencies and gaps to stakeholders to ensure relevant preventative measures are implemented and corrective action taken.
    • Respond to, and action requests for analytical support by providing criminal analysis support to stakeholders to prevent losses and mitigate risks.
    • Investigate financial crime events by analysing information and take appropriate action, such as recommending potential solutions, process changes and/or raise awareness of modus operandi to business, to prevent potential losses, and where relevant, hand over to relevant stakeholders for further action.
    • Using intelligence drawn from transactional reporting across the Group, provide financial crime risk mitigation analysis.
    • Capture details of analysed information on case management system to assist with future prevention and/or mitigation of risk.

    Minimum Experience Level

    • Minimum 5 years’  in the forensic/investigative field, in a banking environment and/or conducting forensic investigations

    Head: Analytical Systems 1

    Job Purpose

    • The Head: Analytics Systems within Group Risk Analytics (GRA) will report into the Divisional Head: Credit Risk Systems. The incumbent of the role is accountable for providing an integrated lens on Nedbank’s risk systems and metrics within GRA and perform a cross-functional role in supporting credit and non-credit areas within the organisation

    Job Responsibilities

    • Support the group-wide productionisation of models and processes for credit and non-credit risk types.
    • Stay abreast of developments in quantitative analytics to ensure Nedbank’s analytical tools and solutions are up-to-date and in-line with international best practises. 
    • System maintenance and foundational system enhancements for the SAS Digital Model Deployment (DMD) Platform and SAS IFRS9 impairment solutions.
    • Support the implementation and regrounds of Nedbank’s IFRS9 model suite, in conjunction with maintenance of model implementation standards and methodologies.
    • Ensure consistency and automation of data and processes across GRA.
    • Drive optimal use of our analytics system investments to enable risk functions to efficiently utilise the output from the Group’s operational processes.
    • Drive business optimisation through engagement with stakeholders to create integration, automation and process efficiency including digitisation and Cloud migration.
    • Support and ensure the optimal implementation of GRA specific and Group wide projects.

    Senior Audit Manager

    Job Purpose

    • To support the Head of Audit: Wealth with ensuring appropriate internal audit coverage and appropriate consideration of conduct and reputational risk and reporting of GIA results impacting conduct and reputational risk as part of the coordinated assurance model. In addition, in the role of business partner, engage with stakeholders (internally within GIA and externally Group) in respect of local and international conduct and reputational risk trends and best practice.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Assist the Head of Audit in elevating the Conduct & Reputational Risk agenda and focus within GIA (during annual and quarterly audit planning, individual assignment planning and scoping, reporting) and ensuring the Business controls adequately address conduct and client experience;
    • Contribute to the overall Conduct and Reputational Risk GIA assurance strategy and planning process;
    • Assist in identification, tracking and monitoring the implementation of remedial/management actions arising from audits impacting conduct and reputation;
    • Analysing stakeholder and marketplace threats and opportunities that may result in conduct and reputational risk and providing mitigation solutions and best practice that ultimately enhance Nedbank’s reputation and derive value;
    • Assist in the monitoring of adverse media for conduct and reputational risk, and responding/leading appropriately;

    • Provide advice, guidance, oversight to internal stakeholders and/or training on compliance to employees;
    • Advocate the conduct and reputational risk agenda throughout GIA and Group;

    PRODUCE REPORTS: 

    • Compile and/or provide input into internal conduct and reputational risk reports and external disclosures by presenting relevant conduct and reputational risk insights for GIA and Group reports for presentation to various internal and external committees.
