    SHEQ Officer

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to assist the site manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Safety

    • Maintain FAMP safety policy and procedure requirements
    • Promote safety performance
    • Conduct risk assessments
    • Do planned task observations
    • Conduct safety meetings
    • Ensure team members wear PPE
    • Investigate incidents/accidents

    Operations

    • Maintain good housekeeping standards
    • Rectify process deficiencies
    • Ensures production targets are met

    Process Manager

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to ensure the achievement of business objectives through contract execution and growth.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Contract Management

    • Interpret, implement and manage the contract.
    • Manage site budget, financial KPIs.
    • Liaise with client representative regarding overall plant performance and quality standards.
    • Ensure healthy and mutually beneficial relationship is maintained with client.
    • Manage the contract regarding volumes, quality and other specifications relevant to the final product.
    • Advises senior manager of any scope changes.
    • Agree on month end quantities and ensure invoices are submitted timeously.

    Customer Relations Management

    • Regular contact with clients and ensure a 100% customer satisfaction rate as well as positive feedback.
    • Assist Business Unit Managers in resolving IR, PR and other issues.

    SHEQ Management

    Engineering Foreman

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to ensure that engineering resources are utilised to maintain the plant as planned.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Health and Safety

    Fitter

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to ensure safe installation and maintenance and repairs of
    • all mechanical equipment i e crusher/gearboxes/pumps etc.

    PURPOSE

    PURPOSE

    • This position exists to assist the Process Manager to ensure the efficient operation of the plant against set objectives

    • Carry and fulfil responsibilities of a MHSA Section 2.9.2 legal appointment
    • Lead team to complying with company SHE strategy

    Engineer

    PURPOSE

    • Determine standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance, inspecting plant and machinery to ensure optimum performance. Directing the maintenance of plant, buildings and equipment, scheduling and planning production activities.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Optimal Plant and Equipment Performance
    • Schedule of services and ensure all the paper work is in order.
    • Co-ordinate the inspection lists and delegate daily duties to the Plant Foreman.
    • Co-ordinate the daily duties of the service supervisors. Monitor equipment availabilities on a daily basis.
    • Follow up on breakdowns as a matter of urgency.
    • Minimise downtime and treat with sense of urgency.
    • Job planning on a daily basis.

    Plant Administration Function

    • Ensure that history files are updated daily on engineering system.
    • Check and sign all service / job cards on a daily basis.

    Stores and Stock Control

    • Monitor, sign and check all stores issued.
    • Incorrect issues to be returned to store.
    • Issue a maintenance and service schedule to procurement on weekly for preparation and to ensure tools, spares availability.

    Ensure Compliance to SHEQ policies, procedures, standards and applicable legislation

    • Comply with all SHEQ standards.
    • Ensure that all staff is trained and informed of and adhere to safety, health, environment and quality standards and procedures. Ensure compliance with all PPE requirements.
    • Constantly inspect the work done to ensure that jobs are completed in line with client and quality requirements.

    Engineering HR Function

    • Chair all relevant disciplinary actions.
    • Ensure skills training and development of employees.
    • Motivate employees and create pride with regards to their work.
    • Conduct performance management of subordinates and sub-contractors.
    • Ensure career development of subordinates to their full potential.
    • Control staff and quality of work at all times.

    Total Quality of the Maintenance Function

    • Liaise with plant foreman and on a daily basis.
    • Liaise on a daily basis with the Process Manager to discuss breakdowns, availability, budget, authorization and any other matter of mutual interest.
    • Conduct daily and weekly meetings with staff to discuss and review maintenance procedures, plan maintenance and repairs, review repair costs against the budget, attend to any complaints from the client and review the quality procedures.
    • Follow up on breakdowns as a matter of urgency.

    Requirements
    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Diploma, BSc/ B-Tech Engineering Electrical or Mechanical
    • Government Certificate of Competency (GCC) in Mining

    EXPERIENCE

    • 5 years in a Section Engineer position, carrying a legal appointment in a Plant or Mine Environment

    PURPOSE

    Updating records and databases, writing weekly reports, and accomplishment. Scheduling activities and meetings for the company.

    Contractors Pack Administrator & Management

    • Booking & scheduling of Medical Bookings & Inductions
    • Ensuring SOP training have been scheduled and attended
    • Issuing Contractor Permits to Work
