    Candidate Ebs Artisan

    Job Purpose    

    • Co-ordinates and controls the set-up, work in progress and completion of specialised electrical maintenance tasks,attending to the repair, construction, maintenance, testing electrical mains, electrical plant, apparatus etc and, attending to routine/general administrative recording requirements. 

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Performs specific pre-work/site requirements with regards to repairs and maintenance sequences.
    • Undertakes the construction, maintenance, operation, repair and testing of electrical mains,reticulation, ancillary equipment and electrical plant in all Municipal owned and Council owned buidings.  
    • Verifies that all work is completed within scheduled limits and original cost estimates.
    • Maintains and improves the safety performance of the Electrical Services Building Branch in all respects and promotes the same.
    • Ensures and maintains that all electrical installations are undertaken in accordance with relevant provisions of the Chapter 25 of the Town Clerks Standing Orders and the SABS Code of Practice for the Wiring of the Premises 0142-1993 (as revised).  
    • Takes timeous action on all unsafe electrical installations. Erects and operates stage lighting and other associated equipment after consulting with persons/organisations hiring the hall, including the setting up and dismantling of stage equipment.
    • Orders necessary materials and equipment and maintains stock for any planned/unplanned work.
    • Transports staff and materials to and from relevant work sites.
    • Undertakes emergency work as necessary and works outside normal working hours depending on duration of shows being held.
    • Compiles internal transaction documentation and related forms

    Essential Requirements    

    • Advanced Technical certification or modules- NQF Level 4 or completed a recognised apprenticeship.
    • Valid motor vehicle driving license (Code B).
    • 2 Years relevant experience

    Preferred Requirements    

    • 3 Years relevant experience.

    Pharmacist Assistant

    Job Purpose    

    • To promote and ensure good drug supply management at all municipal health facilities in order to
    • implement the essential drug programme within eThekwini Unicity to meet the needs of the district

    health system and the IDP.

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Promotes and implements the principles of drug supply management.
    • Undertakes stock checks in clinics and update minimum and maximum levels.
    • Ensures the correct and safe storage of drugs, pharmaceuticals and equipment.
    • Liaises with the relevant stake holders within the multidisciplinary team.
    • Performs supervisory duties pertaining to drug supplies.

    Essential Requirements

    Job Purpose    

    • To provide a comprehensive and maintenance of the Treasury Cluster Asset Register

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Provide assistance to Senior Clerk in maintaining the asset register.

    Job Purpose    

    • To provide an independent, objective audit assurance and consultancy service of the Municipality's
    • Systems of Control, Policies, Procedures and Standards.

    This post reports to SENIOR AUDIT MANAGER (OPERATIONAL AUDITING)

    Key Responsibility Areas    

    • Plan the specific audit in conformity with generally accepted auditing Standards.
    • Conduct all encompassing audits (Risk and Compliance; Value for Money; Contract Auditing;
    • Performance Management and Financial Auditing in accordance with the Cluster/Unit Audit
    • Plan).
    • Report on Audit findings.
    • Follow up on the agreed Audit recommendations to ensure compliance.
    • Control and direct the activities of subordinate staff.
    • Provide consulting services as directed by the Senior Audit Manager.
    • Keep abreast of the new developments and techniques in the Audit profession.
    • Represent the Unit.
    • Conduct Forensic Auditing in accordance with the service level agreement with the
    • Ombudsperson.
    • Provide administrative support to the Senior Audit Management.

    Special Conditions:

    • The posts of Senior Auditor are to be rotated within a 2 year cycle with every possible effort being
    • made to reach consensus.
    • Recruitment of subordinate staff as directed.

    Essential Requirements    

    • BCom with Auditing/Internal Auditing as a major or any equivalent 3 year tertiary qualification
    • with Auditing or Internal Auditing as a major.
    • Valid motor vehicle drivers license (Code B).
    • 4 Years Internal Auditing Experience.

    Preferred Requirements    

    • CIA, CISA or B Comm (Internal Auditing).
    • 5 Years Internal Auditing Experience.

    Supervisor Driver (Crane Operator) - eThekwini

    Job Purpose    

    • To drive various vehicles to transport staff, materials and equipment from and to site and assist
    • with all Electrical Maintenance and Construction activities and functions as required.

    Key Responsibility Areas
