    Purpose of the Job

    •     Confirm inter-regional inventory transfers as required and supplier delivery time slots where necessary (peak season)

    What you will be doing:
    Promotions Data Planning

    •  Assist Trade & Optimization, Strategic Partnerships, and Category Management teams with the development of promotional campaigns. 
    • Provide systems knowledge and expertise to ensure promotion campaigns can be accommodated and driven from the SAP Retail and Winbranch POS systems.
    • Assist the Trade & Optimization team with a review of timelines for promotion cycles and optimization of plans to leverage optimal efficiencies and effectiveness of meeting targets.   

    Promotions Data Management

    • Assume full responsibility for promotion data in SAP Retail by verifying and processing promotions in the SAP Retail system.
    •  Ensure accuracy and timeous update of promotions data to ensure campaigns are executed successfully at Retail Sites as per promotion cycle timelines.
    • Perform comprehensive testing of promotions with precision and accuracy in SAP Retail and the Winbranch Test System in accordance with a checklist to prevent erroneous data and the consequential impact of dealer and customer dissatisfaction. 
    •  Liaise with Category Management, Partnerships, and Technical Support to address action that may be required to correct promotions data. Assess impact of corrections before initiating corrective action in SAP Retail.

    System Support

    • Provide subject matter expertise on system changes and enhancements. Provide custodianship on promotions data functionality in SAP and test all system changes and before its productionised.
    • Serve as subject-matter expert on promotions data in SAP Retail by consulting with Category Management, Partnerships, and IT Support on enhancements and changes required in SAP Retail and Winbranch to ensure optimal usage of the systems to support promotional campaigns.
    • Document and initiate changes that may be required in SAP Retail and/or Winbranch to enhance system capability and functionality to manage data for promotions.
    • Perform user acceptance testing and sign-off of on system changes.

    Stakeholder Relations

    • Work closely with Category Managers and Strategic Partnerships to ensure proactive and optimal management of promotions data. 
    • Support the POS Specialist with the management of sales data exception errors that may result from data anomalies in promotions data.
    • Work closely with the Retail Master Data Specialist to ensure the category and product master data in SAP Retail is aligned with the needs of promotional campaigns.
    • Share systems knowledge and expertise with stakeholders to improve institutional knowledge and understanding of promotions data management.

    Promotion Analytics and Reporting

    • Analyse sales data received from Retail sites for promotions and report lost opportunity and risks arising from the late acceptance of promotions at Retail sites. Initiate corrective action with stakeholders to ensure promotions data is processed more timeously.   
    • Produce monthly reports to assess the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of data for each promotion period.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Use formal and informal methods to ensure the continuous enhancement of checklists, processes, systems, and data that is used to manage promotion data.
    • Perform root cause analysis to minimise defects in promotions data.
    •  Plan improvements and ensure stakeholders are aligned on tasks and objectives to enable the expected outcome of improvements.
