    Amazon Studios is looking for a Senior Post Production Executive to support unscripted series produced in South Africa from our Cape Town office. This includes maintaining schedules, following up on outstanding deliverables, and organizing assets for delivery to Prime Video. The role will coordinate with third-party vendors on work related to the editing and versioning of assets, ensuring the highest quality standards, tracking expenditures for all production department related work orders, and distributing assets for Public Relations, Marketing, and International Localization needs. This role will work directly with our Content Licensing and Development teams in The United Kingdom, Los Angeles and Cape Town and will be the main point of contact in Cape Town for the Operations teams in Los Angeles and Seattle. This role will also be responsible for evaluating new post-related products and providing thoughtful advice on potential risks and issues in a wide range of asset management areas, including potential vendors, archival solutions, and new technologies.

    Data Center Technician

    DESCRIPTION

    This role is a unique opportunity to work in some of the most cutting edge data centers in the world. Amazon data centers are large-scale high-density centers where you will be working on changing the face of Cloud technology in the region.

    A Data Center Technician will work as part of the Operations team whose primary responsibility is the maintenance and upkeep of the data center infrastructure. The candidate may be the primary point of contact for both internal customers (for example: Network Engineers, Systems Engineers, Software Developers, Database Engineers, Technical Operations) and external customers (Hardware Vendors, Contractors, Service Providers among others). The position is full time and has an on-call (standby) component every 5-6 weeks, operating on a 24*7 rotation. The ideal candidate is someone with hands-on hardware experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Work and meet SLA’s against assigned trouble tickets via a directed workflow
    • First line touch point for hardware troubleshooting and technical issues
    • Perform regular server hardware repairs (drives, motherboards etc.)
    • Carry out routine network, server hardware and OS related repairs
    • Work with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work
