    What are we looking for?

    We are looking for someone with the following experience, qualifications and /or skillsets:

    • SACE registered.
    • A minimum of 5 years of IEB experience is an advantage.
    • FET Life Orientation teaching experience is essential and for English will be an advantage.
    • Having IEB matric marking experience will be an advantage.

    The responsibilities are:

    Governance    

    • Ensure relationships are managed effectively with all key stakeholders which include but not limited to: suppliers, internal departments, external authorities, etc.
    • Ensure reporting on agreed frequencies is undertaken accordingly, this includes but not limited to incident reports, financial reports, compliance reports, management reports etc.

    Placement       

    • Ensuring learners are placed as per floor plan
    • Act as a Member of Hostel Committee, Disciplinary Committee when required

    • Liaise with staff, parents, with respect to matters pertaining maintenance, learners in School and Hostel
    • Compiling and forwarding requests for transfer, cancellation of rooms to Booking Officers

    Hostel Learner Supervision and Welfare

    • Organize, initiate, and facilitate entertainment and recreation for the boarders.

    • Processing of Learners demerit process and misconducts at the Hostel

    Assets and Maintenance         

    • Daily checking of any damages in the hostel
    • If any damages correctly filling out documentation and hand in timeously
    • Recording of documents issued out
    • Following-up of documents not done when cycle period has passed
    • Recording of damages to be charged to Learners account.
    • Keeping the asset register of the Hostel

    Daily Duties    

    • Reporting for duties as per schedules and adhering to daily duties thereof
    • Responsible and supervising the Hostel daily, evening and on weekends
    • Invigilating at night study time
    • Manage Hostel Leaders
    • Monitor and verify timesheets of Hostel Leaders and provide reports thereof
    • Participation in monthly room verification

    Classroom management
