    Emerging Leaders Graduate Program 2025

    Scope of Program

    • With this program, Colgate-Palmolive South Africa provides early in career graduates the opportunity to start their development & growth journey in our commercial functions – Customer Development, Customer Service & Logistics, and Marketing.
    • Successful candidates will gain learning experience via job rotations and project assignments.  Upon successful completion of the 24-month program, the Commercial Trainee can be offered a permanent role in the company based on performance and business needs.

    Education / Experience / Competencies Required :

    • Numerate with good attention to detail

    Regional Field Sales Manager - Hout Bay

    Main responsibilities:

    • Building relationships with key contacts (e.g. Operations & store managers) and providing customers with objective and trustworthy analysis of their business in order to ensure that customers carry an appropriate portfolio of Colgate products that receive optimal exposure at store level
    • Conducting regular business reviews and follow-up on sales activity, new products, customer service, receivables, and claims
    • Developing and executing customer plans that profitably increase sales volume, distribution and market share Working with logistics team to plan, analyze, and forecast customer(s) needs, to follow up on orders to ensure on time and complete delivery, and to prioritize customer requirements when product is unavailable
    • Monitoring activity at store level and communicating competitive, category, and product (e.g. pricing, product assortment, promotion and placement) information impacting sales results to customer marketing and Customer management so that they can proactively respond with new strategies and tactics
    • Tracking KPIs and taking action to improve performance

    Required Qualifications:

    • A Bachelor's degree or NQF equivalent
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in an FMCG environment, Modern Trade/ Personal Care would be advantageous.
    • Previous experience in managing a field sales team & 3rd party Sales Agents

    Shopper Development Manager

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Category Knowledge, Business Challenges & Insights 
    • Deliver Category Knowledge (Be the shopper expert for the customers)
    • Identify insight driven Business Challenges for key customers Joint Category Planning
    • Deliver the Retail Category Development Services to their customers aligned with Category management RM priorities and direction
    • Develop 3 year shopper plan aligned to customer engagement strategy (for priority customers)
    • Develop annual category & shopper plan integrated within Joint Business Planning.
    • Recommend customer differentiation opportunities (with CD)
    • Shopper Program Development & Activation 
    • Activate Shopper programs
    • Refine programs to customer shopper & targeted vehicles
    • Translate insight and business challenges into recommended category strategies & solutions (activation platforms)
    • Deliver regular shopper return on investment reviews for key activities
    • Leverage RE/customer-specific shopper insight & customer analytics to Tailor the 5Ps by RE to the customer(s) formats, considering customer strategies and policies
    • Communicating 5P targets to Operations and monitoring implementation

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • A Bachelor's degree
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role in an FMCG environment

    Senior Brand Manager OC

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and manage strategic initiatives and projects for the category, including new product development and global projects.
    • Plan, implement, and track New Product Launches and Re-launches in collaboration with the international Marketing Team.
    • Execute solid Brand strategies/plans and programs for the Family Toothpaste segment.
    • Lead and coordinate cross-functional efforts with R&D, Regulatory, Legal, Supply Chain, and other key partners.
    • Interact with external consultants, including advertising agencies, public relations firms, and market research consultants as needed.
    • Engage frequently with marketing departments of local Hubs to ensure alignment and synergy.

    Required Qualifications:

    • Minimum 6 years of progressive marketing experience, preferably with innovation focus.
    • Experience implementing successful marketing plans, new products, and digital campaign development.
    • Proven ability to manage relationships with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
    • Experience in managing complex projects and external suppliers.
    • Open to international career opportunities and adaptable to different business contexts
