    Laboratory Technician - Clayville

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent NQF4
    • Business English: Fluent
    • Computer literacy (Advanced) 
    • Work shifts/weekends/public holidays
    • Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Setup, maintain and operate laboratory equipment  

    • Prepare and maintain stocks of chemical reagents and microbiological reagents/cultures/media 
    • Operate laboratory equipment in line with the standard operating procedures and well maintained 
    • Ensure that lab procedure are followed according to standard procedures 
    • Maintain all safety procedures in the laboratory 
    • Ensure that the lab is clean at all times 
    • Ensure that Good Manufacturing Practices (GLP) is maintained 

    Conduct sampling and testing  

    • Prepare and analyse samples 
    • Releasing of Raw and Packaging materials 
    • Perform routine QC/laboratory analysis 
    • Report of Non-confirming and retesting and sending the final report is essential 
    • Record all results neatly and must be filed as required 
    • Ensure that all procedures are followed before releasing the final product to the market 
    • Ensure that the laboratory equipment are calibrated and must be monitored at the beginning of each shift 
    • Report equipment break downs in time 

    Safety in the laboratory  

    • Follow all safety procedures in the lab. (e.g. wearing of PPE) 
    • Know all emergency procedures e.g. eye wash station, safety reps and first aiders. 
    • Report all safety incidents

    Senior Team Leader: Distribution

    REQUIREMENTS:

    Duties and Responsibilities

    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: 

    • To ensure Driver, Van Assistant and vehicle availability at all times   

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    Warehouse 

    • Daily stock Check per Route
    • Daily stock count
    • Crate control 

    Provide General Office Administration Support  

    • Update Driver planning 
    • Update FMA Diesel system 
    • Update and capture Chep slips, plus recon Chep pallets Daily
    • Update daily defects from Pre-trip inspection forms 
    • Ensure no illegal overtime
    • Ensure driver scores on standard 

     Vehicle maintenance/availability  

    • Ensure pre-trip inspections are done according to SOP
    • Report incidents/accidents/damage on vehicles 
    • Do follow ups to ensure vehicles are in road worthy condition before they leave the premises 
    • Ensure vehicles service on time

    Ensure proper housekeeping  

    • Ensure that the working area is neat and tidy at all times 
    • Ensure safe working conditions and report deviations 
    • Ensure to have all MHE licenses up to date 
    • Ensure staff adhere to standard Health & Safety requirements at all times

    Planner: Deployment

    Requirements

    • Matric - Degree or studying towards/relevant experience
    • Relevant experience in applying job related concepts, techniques and processes at the required level
    • Business English: Fluent
    • Computer literacy (Intermediate)

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Maintain stock levels per warehouse    

    • Plan stock deployment to branch to ensure 98% OFR to trade
    • Maintain optimum stock levels (target days)
    • Monitor stock age daily and take action to prevent obsolete stock
    • Investigate and report on obsolete stock

    Create a deployment forward plan        

    • Create a daily forward plan actioned weekly
    • Communicate to primary transport and warehouse
    • Communicate and monitor deviations from the forward plan and take action        
    • Distribute loads evenly to assist primary distribution

    Create daily loads and monitor activities            

    • Identify and prioritise urgent stock and ensure stock is on load
    • Ensure fair share in case of shortages
    • Plan loads and link different delivery and loading points together
    • Request Primary Transport and ensure that a TR number is received per load
    • Ensure planned loads are actual is correctly actioned in Tower   

    Monitor warehouse space and forward planning            

    • Monitor available space and adjust plan accordingly
    • Daily space check on each branch incoming and outgoing
    • Co-ordinate space constraints with Principals/Planners

    Report, interpret and provide recommendation on all Deployment activities            

    • Report daily on warehouse utilisation
    • Report on Primary, pallet and weight utilisation weekly
    • Report on picking freshness per CDC daily, month to date, actioned weekly
    • Report on stock levels within parameters actioned weekly
    • Report and analyse daily short supply and coordinate with warehouse and SCP Planners
    • Report daily to warehouse: OFR, warehouse utilisation, top 20 short supplies, picking freshness, SDS risk stock
    • Double handling
    • Compile weekly and monthly reports on all Deployment activities

    Review and correct planning parameters            

    • Review and correct Multiple order quantities on item route level monthly, bi weekly
    • Review and correct Min and Max stock levels parameters
    • Review and correct Distribution Calendar
