    Senior Accountant: Independent Reviews

    Job specifications:

    • Responsibility for portfolio of clients (individuals, trust companies and cc's)
    • Perform the following engagements:
    • Compilation Engagements in terms of ISRS 4410 Independent Review Engagements in terms of ISRE 2400 Accounting Officer.
    • Engagements in terms of Close Corporations Act Ensuring that proper planning is performed before execution.
    • Ensuring BDO SOP's are followed at all times.
    • Reviewing junior staff working papers for sections allocated to them.
    • Reviewing independent review files performed by junior staff.
    • Proposing journals to client.
    • Communicating with clients, making engagement arrangements and discuss engagement results.
    • Accounting duties
    • Preparation, processing, and maintenance of accounting records for numerous individual companies, cc and trusts from source documents
    • Balance sheet reconciliations.
    • Preparation of audit files and finalization of accounts.
    • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
    • Reconciliation of intercompany loan accounts.
    • Preparation of interest schedules on loan accounts.
    • Processing monthly general journals, monthly reconciliation of expenses Drafting AFS per IFRS and IFRS for SMEs.
    • Drafting financial statements in terms of relevant accounting disclosure requirements using Caseware.
    • Performing tax computations for companies, close corporations and trusts (including SBC's, special allowances (s12C, S12E, etc.).
    • Preparation and submission of statutory returns Managing WIP and budgets on engagements.
    • Updating manager and partner on progress of engagements.
    • Mentoring junior staff both on the job and generally Ad-hoc processing on Pastel Partner, Xero or directly in Caseware.
    • Assist other staff members where needed attending to any other matters arising, such as tax queries etc.
    • Outsourced projects when needed & other duties as may be required in line with the position.

    Requirements

    • BCom Financial Accounting and Tax as majors.
    • Hons. BCom in accounting or related qualification.
    • SAIPA or SAICA articles.

    Assistant Financial Planner

    What this traineeship offers:

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements to apply:

    • Post Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.
    • Willing to work towards sitting and passing the FPI Board exam for admittance to the CFP® designation (this is a compulsory contractual requirement).
    • Prepared to study for and pass the FAIS Regulatory Exam 5 for Representatives.

    • A successful candidate will possess an ambition to become a Financial Planner and will understand what it takes to carve a career within this demanding profession.
    • Good knowledge of the Financial Planning Industry, financial products and financial planning concepts, as well as investments, tax and general financial analysis.

    • Completion of Academic requirements within the contracted 2-year period.
    • A work ethic that ensures accuracy of work produced and adherence to stipulated turnaround times.

    Graphic Designer

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Design Creation: Develop high-quality design concepts, graphics, and layouts for various marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, infographics, reports, digital banners, social media assets, and website elements.
    • Branding and Visual Identity/Brand Management: Ensure consistency in brand identity across all design materials. Collaborate with the marketing team to maintain and evolve our brand guidelines and visual style.
    • Stakeholder Project Support: Translate briefs into effective design solutions that meet stakeholder goals and align with our brand standards.
    • Creative Input: Contribute innovative ideas and concepts to enhance our design capabilities. Stay updated on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to continually improve the quality of our design output.
    • Design Production: Execute designs from concept to final deliverable, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to project timelines.
    • Prepare files for both digital and print distribution.
    • Collaboration and Feedback: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, communications, and agencies, to understand design needs and provide design expertise. Incorporate feedback and revisions into final designs.
    • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews of design materials to ensure they meet our quality standards and are error-free.
    • Maintain consistency and accuracy in design elements, typography, and colour schemes.
    • Tools and Software: Utilise design software (such as Adobe Creative Suite) and other relevant tools to create and edit designs. Stay proficient in the latest design software and technology advancements.

    Requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field is preferred

    Experience

    • Minimum of 5 years of professional design experience, preferably in the financial services industry or related field. A strong portfolio demonstrating a range of design projects is required
    • Own car and driver’s license

    Job Competencies

    • Design Skills: Proficiency in graphic design principles, layout, typography, colour theory, and visual storytelling. Ability to create designs that effectively communicate complex information in a clear and visually appealing manner. Should be comfortable working across design fields namely web, digital design, and print.
    • Software Proficiency: Expertise in industry-standard design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premiere Rush). Familiarity with web design tools and prototyping software is a plus.
    • Brand Awareness: Understanding of branding and the ability to create designs that align with a company's visual identity and brand guidelines.
    • Time Management: Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
    • Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, understand project requirements, and incorporate feedback into design iterations.
    • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities. Ability to adapt to changing project scopes and requirements
