    Product Marketing Manager - Capacitors and Filters

    You as a Product Marketing Manager,will be part of Power Grids business based in Modderfontein, South Africa. Reporting to Local Sales Division Manager ,you are responsible for defining, planning and ensuring implementation of product marketing strategies in assigned area to meet business objectives and in line with global product strategy. Overseeing all marketing activities, and supporting Sales organizations in driving sales and services of respective products. Responsible for sales of low and medium voltage capacitors and filters and battery energy storage products and solutions for Power Grids High Voltage Business within the Southern, Eastern and Western Africa markets in accordance with business strategy Building long term customer relationships and managing resolution to specific customer needs and issues Identifying and developing sales opportunities.Developing direct and channeling markets to customers.
    Your Responsibilities

    • Strategy : Creating, planning and ensuring implementation of the local go-to–market product marketing strategy including definition and communication of product value propositions and product positioning in accordance with the global product marketing strategy.
    • Targets : Establishing product marketing targets and budgets. Ensuring their achievement through regular oversight, and definition and implementation of improvement plans as needed.
    • Business Plans : Developing and implementing annual marketing plan in conjunction with relevant Business Units/Product Groups. Preparing business plans focused on business development for a defined market.
    • Analysis : Coordinating market analyses with Product Marketing team and Sales team members and defines appropriate forecasts and plans. Evaluating and sharing customer research, market conditions and competitor data.
    • Sales : Overseeing sales execution for assigned products by coordinating the preparation of relevant materials and guidance to Sales team(s).
    • Training : Driving sales efficiency by ensuring appropriate product knowledge (technical and sales) for each Sales person. Ensuring know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.

    Your background

    Sales Specialist Enterprise Software

    As a Sales Specialist Enterprise Software will be a part of the Power Grids Business and Grid Automation Business Line based in Modderfontein. Reporting to Head of MEIA Global Customer Care , you will be responsible for sales of enterprise software and services within Southern African market in accordance with the strategy of ABB Enterprise Software. The objectives are to build long-term customer relationships and manage solutions specific customer needs and issues, while identifying, developing and closing sales opportunities.
    Your Responsibilities

    • Volume and Profit: Selling products or solutions or services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability target for the assigned Business Unit and Product Groups.
    • Customer relations: Establishing and maintaining effective customer relationships to understand customer needs. Promoting customer understanding of full product or systems or services offerings and align to provide a solution. Ensuring a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
    • Sales Plan: Preparing sales plans using company tools. Performing regular status reviews and proposing recovery plan(s) in case of potential order shortfalls.

    • Fluent spoken and written English – Mandatory.
    • Fluent spoken and written skills in other African languages will be an advantage.

    Account Manager - Eskom

    You as an Account Manager, will be part of Power Grids business based in Modderfontein, South Africa. Reporting to Local Sales Manager ,you are responsible for developing, implementing and managing the account(s) strategy focused on growth, profitability and customer satisfaction. Coordinating the sales activities and managing resolution of specific customer problems.
    Your Responsibilities

    • Account strategies : Participating in the development of sales strategies for accounts by providing the customer’s current business and long-term plans.
    • Sales targets : Defining and proposing sales targets and growth margins for the account and ensures their achievement with a structured follow up process.
    • Account plan : Leading the development and implementation of the account plan to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for each solution element. Proposing recovery plans in case of potential order shortfalls.
    • Customer relations : Establishing and developing account relationships based on a defined strategy. Acting as focal point for problem resolution and monitors customer claims. Planning, facilitating and conducting customer negotiations.

    • An Engineering degree or MBA required.

    • Demonstrated ability to interact with C-suite executives as well as function leads in Eskom.
    • Ability to take ownership and handle many complex problems at once, with good interaction skills and coordination capabilities of many different role players, both external and internal.
