    Inventory Manager - Parow CDC Snacks - Cape Town

    Job Description

    Responsibilities

    • Investigate and reconcile the suspense accounts on a daily basis.
    • Track and monitor variances and locked inventory in the Warehouse.
    • Manage, plan and organise the warehouse cycle counts.
    • Analyze the Parow Service Centre Stock Account (55150) on a monthly basis by investigating all overspends and compile a detailed report by category and communicate findings to the Finance Department.
    • Control the receipt and despatch of stock (at Receiving/Despatch Area) to ensure all stock items are accounted for at all times.
    • Develop and maintain the pre and post cycle count procedures.
    • Manage the Inventory Checkers to be able to monitor inventory locations at all times.
    • Use the Inventory reports to manage and maintain the inventory in the warehouse.
    • Ensure that the Inventory Checkers check inventory in the locked locations to make inventory available for picking on a continuous basis.
    • Rectify the warehouse inventory by ensuring that incorrect inventory in the pick face is checked on an on-going and daily basis.
    • Manage stock freshness in the Warehouse to avoid Warehouse stock write-off daily.
    • Provide the number of pick exceptions to the Inventory Checkers on a continuous basis.
    • Communicate weekly with the Commercial team to deal out aging stock before it expires.
    • Ensure Stock with 4 weeks to expire is transferred and locked at the Obsolete Location.
    • Monitor and improve the stock control processes – check and report variances on a weekly and periodic basis as may be required from time to time.
    • Assist Storemen and Inventory Checkers as and when needed to resolve any hindrance that prevents them from successfully completing the task given by carrying out the subsequent system alteration/transaction.

    Qualifications

    • Matric with a relevant tertiary qualification in Inventory Management/ Supply Chain/ Logistics or a relevant commercial qualification.
    • 3 years experience and knowledge of Warehouse Inventory (preferably, within the FMCG industry).
    • Compile and report on warehouse statistics (Warehouse stock variances, deliveries by Suppliers, staff productivity etc).
    • Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook) and knowledge/experience of a Warehouse Management System would be an advantage.
    • Supervisory skills – (Manage a team of Inventory Checkers, Storemen and other warehouse front line staff).
    • Ability to influence and implement changes regarding inventory management in the Service Centre.
    • The ability to successfully communicate with people on all levels of the organisation.

    Global Procurement Sr Manager – Digitalization Lead, AMESA - Isando

    Job Description

    Overview

    • This role will be responsible to establish E2E procurement Digitalization strategy, design and develop new digital capabilities for Global Procurement in AMESA and drive digital transformation impacting nearly $4B of managed spend with annual productivity of neartly $67MM
    • Lead digital transomfration across 7 step sourcing processes by implementing new procurement solutions/tools/systems (e.g. myBUY/Ariba, strategic sourcing, Tableau, myContracts, Cirtuo, SpendHQ, Huron, RPA) and actively contribute in creting future fit GP capabilities
    • Build srong raport and collaboration with GP Global Capabilities team and Global IT teams, Global S&T teams, and PGT Team to ensure AMESA GP requirements are captured and delivered in the Global digitalization initiatives as well as sector implemantations
    • Drive change management, lead adoption of next tools and technology and build digital acumen across AMESA GP Organization

    Responsibilities

    Detect new Capabilities to be developed

    • Market research at all levels, internally and externally to identify, propose and align digitalization initiatives for GP AMESA
    • Explore usage of new capabilities, for example, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, BlockChain, Automation in 7 step sourcing process
    • Continuous improvement: analyse current sourcing procedures to detect improvement opportunities
    • Develop Reports solutions using technological tools and softwares (e.g. BI and others )
    • Test and build Business Case to filter valid proposals to digitalize perocurement value streams.

    Development of new capabilities

    • Overall leadership and supervision of implementation of digitalization projects across GP AMESA

    Value capture

    • Manage link with broader Global Procurement Team, PGT Team, S&T Team and GP team in AMESA to capture the value of new capabilities, included transformation of Data in actionable Insights Sustain
    • Manage link with IT organization to ensure solutions developed are properly maintained and new Functionality of these tools implemented

    General

    • Define business requirements for AMESA
    • Ensure business cases for digitalization puruits are robust and aligned with category lead
    • Prioritize and identify potential solutions (taking into account latest market trends)
    • Define pipeline for upcoming year
    • Build and maintain connection with Global Capabilities team and Global IT, PGT Team, S&T Team
    • Ensure user satisfaction level and develop plans for improvements

    On the job duties:

    • Define business requirements for AMESA
    • Identify & align opportunities with GP leadership for value creation across the procurement 7 step sourcing cycle for GP AMESA(Business and Market Intelligence, Supplier Performance Management, Contract Governance etc.)
    • Lead the overall agenda & introduce Business Intelligence (coverage nearly $ 4Bn) in AMESA for directs and Indirects and identify new value creation opportunities. Data Analytics strategy
    • Ensure business cases are robust and aligned with category lead
    • Ensure the team is understanding the process, gathering information on the time required to complete the task and estimate benefits of the potential solutio
    • Prioritize and identify potential solutions (taking into account latest market trends)
    • Introduces and champions to GP new digital tools such as descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics, data science methods, Robotics Process Automation, data lakes, Artificial Intelligence Digital technologies
    • Connects and benchmarks externally to bring the outside in with most modern tools and solutions on the market
    • Define pipeline for upcoming year
    • Lead transformation of data of GP in insights /actions that add value for sourcing team New Dashboards Development
    • Maintain connection with Global Capabilities team and Global IT
    • Support the development of global BI tools and capabilities as a contributor for AMESA for his/ her respective area with the purpose of driving productivity, customer satisfaction, and compliance (e.g. Spend Visibility, HURON etc.)
    • Lead customer satisfaction survey for his/her respective area, follows up on the results and develops plans for continuous improvement
