    Head of PDS Product Management

    Overseeing the PDS Product Management team for Legacy Solutions at MMH Head Office in Centurion. This will involve prioritising work and providing guidance, technical support and management of their team members.

    • Overseeing the team's main focuses which are:
    • The product management (i.e. multi-faceted functioning of the product to meet priced objectives and client outcomes) of all the legacy products housed on the PDS system by adequately balancing the objectives of the different stakeholders and by taking into account changing client and market needs;
    • Profitability management of legacy products on PDS;
    • Identify system errors, propose the most appropriate way to fix these and ensure the successful implementation;
    • Ensure that clients are treated fairly through product design, communication and advice, and address any areas where improvement in this respect is required;
    • Consolidation of legacy products where appropriate;
    • Extraction of maximum value of legacy products on PDS through various reinsurance optimisation and other initiatives.
    • (Co-)create the appropriate product enhancements/changes to be made on PDS legacy products together with other product specialists and segment managers:
    • Propose the appropriate enhancements/changes to existing PDS policies;
    • Model the effect on profitability of these enhancements/changes;
    • Monitor the experience of important actuarial basis items (e.g. mortality, morbidity, persistency) and propose and/or implement rectifying actions where appropriate;
    • Analysis of earnings and other financial metrics against budget, strategic plan or pricing.
    • Providing the business requirements and supporting the implementation of:
    • Improving client value;
    • Enhancing early termination values where appropriate;
    • Understanding maturity and death guarantees;
    • Smooth bonus rate updates;
    • Monitoring unit prices and ensure that errors are fixed and dealt with appropriately from a communication perspective;
    • Legal and compliance requirements;
    • Management of contractual obligation of PDS legacy products e.g. fee reviews;
    • Product, process and data improvements.
    • Documenting and reviewing all existing product bases.
    • Providing support to the service areas in terms of product content.
    • Managing own performance and development.
    • Ensuring effective and consistent service delivery and support to both internal and external clients
    • Managing the team effectively towards the outcome of high performance output, as per the MMH and Legacy people principles and policies

    • At least 5 years’ experience in specifically the Product Management or Product Development areas of Life insurance,
    • Previous experience with legacy products is highly advantageous,
    • At least 2 years’ experience in team management.

    Broker Relationship Consultant

    Broker Consultants are committed, driven, results oriented administrators who are able to work on their own as well as in a team environment writing business via broker channel in accordance with targets laid down by Momentum Insurance.

    Broker Consultants provide service to brokers in respect of motor and household domestic insurance.

    Responsibilities and work outputs

    • Providing quotations for broker and intermediaries within agreed service level agreements. Quoting at least 100 quotes per month.
    • Achieve monthly contracted Financial Targets.
    • Grow existing Broker Book and have a pro-active Broker Contact Plan for visitations and engagements.
    • Assist brokers with factual information to assist them in providing quotations for their prospective clients. Follow up on outstanding information immediately.
    • Once a quote has been provided to the broker, follow up with broker if policy has been accepted as per Service Charter or SLA.
    • If quotation is accepted, provide a prepopulated proposal form and advise documentation required.
    • Obtain completed proposal form and documentation required from the broker or intermediary.
    • Check that documentation and forms received are correct and forward to pre-gatekeeping.
    • Complete daily report on quotations done and policies accepted, to monitor activity and conversion rate.
    • Keep up to date and fully informed on product comparisons with opposition products

    • All required regulatory exams and accreditation
    • Candidate must have his own transport (CAR) and license

    Business Development Consultant- High Net Worth Clients

    For this role we are looking for a direct sales, new Business Development Consultant to grow our Envoy client base (high-net worth individuals) and advise primarily on motor and household domestic insurance.

    We are looking for Business Development Consultants who are committed, driven, results oriented advisers who are able to work independently as well as in a team environment writing business in accordance with targets laid down by Momentum Insurance (MI).

    Responsibilities and work outputs

    • Source sufficient lead generating opportunities to ensure 10 client quotes per week and 40 per month minimum
    • Minimum requirement of 9 written policies per month
    • Maintain and update your Lead Generation Matrix on a weekly basis
    • Once a quote is requested the consultant must contact client in order to conduct a proper needs analysis and offer professional advice
    • Sign up a minimum of 5 active lead referral agents
    • Complete weekly reports that reflect leads, quotes and sales as well as the source of the leads, average premium, total premium and any other pertinent information which may be required from time to time
    • Keep up to date and fully informed on product comparisons with opposition products
    • Stay abreast of MI (Momentum Insurance) product changes and enhancements
    • Be compliant in all activities in accordance with regulations and standards of all Insurance regulations and professional guidelines and ethics

    Java Development Manager

    Java Development Manager role lies in our Short-term Insurance CoE and will manage and guide a team of developers in their day-to-day activities in an efficient and professional manner, ensuring all team targets are met.

    Responsibilities and work outputs

    INTERNAL PROCESS

    • Analyse and solve problems identified by the business and stakeholders through the coordination of the development team
    • Manage, monitor and control the analysis, design, implementation and execution of software development within the development team
    • Extend and maintain existing and new software systems and services according to business needs.
    • Continuously improve code quality, system design and processes
    • Collaborate with the business to understand and implement complex requirements according to their needs
