    Aircraft and Major Module Records Specialist

    Description

    • Conduct inspections of all new aircraft records and new major module records entering the fleet;
    • Conduct record review inspections in line with lease contracts and company requirements;
    • Compile and control 'Open Item Listings' required for effective communication to lessors on any discrepancies noted on new aircraft;
    • Communicate outstanding items back to Legal and/or Asset Management departments during technical acceptance of new aircrafts or major modules;
    • Conduct offsite visits for aircrafts being inducted to review physical records and inspect the condition of aircrafts when required;
    • Support the compliance department with Certificate of Airworthiness inspection preparation for inducting aircrafts;
    • Coordinate effective lease return of major modules inclusive of aircraft and or engines;
    • Liaise with maintenance planners to coordinate tasks or check requirements for inductions or lease returns;
    • Liaise with records administrators to coordinate physical record requirements;
    • Coordinate annual lessor inspections and inform maintenance planners of any info required for operational aircrafts;
    • Liaise with the planning section to schedule inductions or deliveries;
    • Coordinate the compilation and distribution of work orders to MRO;
    • Ensure that all documentation issued is current;
    • Inform asset management on requirements during the lease return process;
    • Assist with capturing ATLR's and component movements from ATLR's for aircrafts joining the fleet when required;
    • Assist with closing work orders from MRO when maintenance is completed;
    • Update logbooks for aircraft and major modules, entering and leaving the fleet;
    • Review completed work orders for accuracy;
    • Assist with capturing work order data from MRO. Assist with component movement from MRO work orders;
    • Assist with issuing of (CRS) Certificate of Release to service and or CRMA (Certificate Related to maintenance of an Aircraft) documents after maintenance is completed;
    • Create ad-hoc work orders;
    • Ensure that all AD's, SB I s, EO's and ASB are complied with;
    • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations, policies and guidelines;
    • Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance;
    • Analyse Stakeholder needs and identify improvement initiatives;
    • Encourage, promote, and embody a spirit of teamwork.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent (Essential);
    • Technical Diploma (Advantageous);
    • Type rating on aircrafts operated by FlySafair (Advantageous);
    • 8-12 years of aircraft planning or records experience in a mid-size organisation (Essential);
    • Experience working on B737 aircraft type (Advantageous);
    • Willing to work overtime;
    • Willing to travel domestic and international;
    • Knowledge and understanding of Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word);

    Aircraft Records Administrator

    Description

    • Administration of all new aircrafts and Major module records entering the FlySafair Fleet;
    • Administration of all Major modules and or Aircraft lease return records for those leaving the fleet as directed by the Specialist;
    • Update the MRO software and capture ATLR’s for ferry/test flight hours, landing, oil usage and complaints/defects;
    • Support with compiling lease return folders and digital delivery bibles;
    • File and scan hard copy paperwork as required;
    • Assist with maintaining an orderly document storage area in line with standards, procedures and regulations;
    • Identify all discrepancies on ATLRs and missing log pages and communicate with relevant stakeholders to obtain correct records;
    • Identify and communicate Hour and Cycle differences between MRO system and ATLRs;
    • Update all part changes/movements on ATLRs for Inducting aircraft;
    • Verify and file certificates against "on condition" and "hard time" as required;
    • Distribute documents as requested by departments;
    • Assist with capturing work packs if required;
    • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations, policies and guidelines;
    • Adhere to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures;
    • Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance;

    Assistant Maintenance Planner

    Description

    • Compile work packs for the FlySafair inductions and lease returns (planning for the next check due, informing stores of NDT required, components needed for checks);
    • Ensure work orders are compiled on time and provided to MRO;
    • Capture work order data from MRO;
    • Create ad-hoc work orders;
    • Follow-up on all open work orders;
    • Review completed work orders and ensure accuracy;
    • Close work orders from outstations;
    • Close work orders from MRO when maintenance is complete;
    • Perform component movements from MRO work orders;
    • Notify other departments of findings in work orders and findings highlighted by QA/QC;
    • Assist with capturing ATLR's and component movements from ATLR's when required;
    • Update logbooks of aircraft and major modules being inducted and lease returned;
    • Update the maintenance system with ADS and SBS. Provide information to other departments when requested;
    • Issue Certificate of Release (CRS) to service and Certificate Related to Maintenance of an Aircraft (CRMA) documents after maintenance is completed;
    • Ensure all documentation issued is current;
    • Assist with CAA Audits and C of A inspections when requested;
    • Assist with hard-time and Life-limited components management;
    • Maintain aircraft serviceability as per the approved AMP, and or relevant documentation or lessor requirements;
    • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations, policies and guidelines;

    Component Administrator

    Description

    • File and scan hard copy paperwork when present with new components;
    • Assist with identifying and correcting discrepancies on ATLRs or work packages preventing movements. Investigate all discrepant part change movements;
    • Verify certificates received and file or update status from vendors;
    • Coordinate and forward all component documents requested by other departments;
    • Component Movement Control;
    • Verify if all required component movements are performed, either via technical log or work orders and take corrective action when required;
    • Coordinate the removal and control of all unserviceable spares timeously and accurately from a technical records or planning perspective;
    • Verify if all serviceable components required to be installed on an aircraft are placed correctly onto the aircraft, with clear reference to the respective technical log or work order;
    • Ensure that the required release certificates are linked within the MRO System;
    • Liaise with the maintenance programs section to verify if all required limits on components are correct and allocated to components per the approved maintenance program;
    • Monitor, investigate and control the BRN-issued listing to make sure all issued spares are accounted for on work orders or technical logs and movements are performed;
    • Generate and manage work orders for all components requiring repairs via internal workshops as requested by maintenance or dispatch;
    • Maintain knowledge of relevant regulations, policies and guidelines;
    • Adhere to statutory regulations, organisational standards, policies and procedures;
    • Report non-compliance and implement corrective actions to ensure compliance;

    Network Planning Coordinator

    Description

    • Support collaboration across departments to craft schedules that optimize cost efficiency, maximize aircraft and crew utilization, and enhance On-Time Performance (OTP);
    • Assist with management of the Schedule, Crew and Aircraft Utilization;
    • Execute additions and changes as instructed;
    • Collaborate with the Yield Department to ensure optimal flight frequency and timing on each route, aligning with demand and maximizing operational efficiency;
    • Long term aircraft planning and management to ensure technical and other operational requirements are considered;
    • Attend Technical Meetings to ensure that we plan accordingly for aircraft availability and configuration changes in order to ensure optimal fleet operations;
    • Coordinate with various departments to address charter and/or additional flight requests;
    • Compile statistics for Exco and other departmental uses as required;
    • Ensure Slot alignment and compliance in accordance with regulation;
    • Ensure acquisition and retention of airport slots;
    • Coordinate with CAMU and air traffic control to secure and manage slots;
    • Calculate Flight and Duty Period during schedule planning to ensure compliance with SACAA regulations;
    • Continuous analysis of schedule performance with the Commercial Department;
    • Identify improvements in network planning to increase efficiencies.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 or equivalent;
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an aviation operations environment;
    • Previous AIMS Airline Software (Advantageous);
    • Willing and able to work after hours if required;
    • Knowledge of Schedule Planning;
    • Knowledge of Operational environment;
    • Knowledge of Slot allocation and coordination;
    • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance standards;
