    Assistant Accountant – Supply Chain

    Key Responsibilities

    • Updating and processing accounts payable related transactions within SAP and COUPA.
    • Reviewing and performing reconciliations,
    • Investigating and resolving discrepancies.
    • Processing and reviewing accounts payable payment proposals within SAP, ensuring accurate and timely payments.
    • Preparing and submitting weekly and monthly reports to identify trends, inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities.
    • Following standard operating procedures to ensure accurate financial records and compliance with accounting policies.
    • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accounts payable reconciliations and payment processes are executed.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • A Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance.
    • Driver’s license (Code EB/08).

    Minimum Experience

    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Finance or Supply Chain environment
    • MS Office Proficiency.
    • SAP and Coupa Experience be will advantageous

    Senior Buyer - Witbank

    Key Responsibilities

    • Processing purchase requisitions timeously and ensuring that the correct supplier is identified.
    • Resolving procurement disputes, including quality control and delivery schedules.
    • Overseeing the expediting of purchase orders to ensure timeous delivery of goods/services.
    • Generating weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reports to track productivity, inefficiencies, trends, and opportunities for cost saving.

    Trade Accountant - JHB

    PRIMARY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Period Close:

    • Execute the month end trade accounting close per profit center based on International Financial Reporting Standards “IFRS”.
    • Review the department`s trial balance for IFRS technical compliance.
    • Prepare detailed monthly IFRS P/L and working capital reporting.
    • Reconcile the middle office and trade accounting month and P/L`s and document and explain any breaks.
    • Review and reconcile department SG & A / overhead reporting.
    • Review and reconcile department management reporting.
    • Support regional offices with technical accounting challenges during period close.

    Intra Period Close:

    • In collaboration with the Middle Office, remedy processes leading to prior month P/L reconciliation breaks.
    • Support the front and middle office including corporate teams with the preparation of ad-hoc departmental financial reports and analysis.
    • Coordinate the department`s external audit, internal audit and financial governance processes.
    • Execute departmental financial governance testing.
    • Maintaining professional and technical accounting, finance and controls knowledge.

    Structure Deals:

    • In collaboration with the Middle Office, conclude on and document the IFRS accounting treatment for new structured deals in advance of execution.

    Projects:

    • Automate manual journal entries to ensure straight through processing to the general ledger.
    • Review and control the calibration of system generated journal entries.
    • In collaboration with other trade accounting teams, identify and implement accounting best practice including processes and internal controls.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Chartered Accounting qualification (CA/CPA/ACCA)

    WORK EXPERIENCE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • At least 2 years` post articles experience in a similar role.
    • Working knowledge of commodity trading systems and ERP integration.
    • Working knowledge of ERP`s, especially SAP FI/Co and BW.
    • Advanced knowledge of MS Office tools, especially Excel.
    • Advanced English language ability, both written and spoken.
    • Keen interest in trading, derivatives, business process automation, internal control, efficiency, and improvement.
    • Adaptable, dynamic, and organised with a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
    • Good communicator, that interact well within a team and actively manage expectations.
    • Take initiative in resolving issues in a structured methodical manner.
    • Have a strong sense of responsibility and ownership, and are attentive to detail, in a fast-moving environment.

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

    Inventory Assistant - eMalahleni

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Ensuring accurate, complete and validity of all goods and materials received.
    • Ensuring goods received are correctly binned on shelves timeously.
    • Operating a Forklift and Overhead Crane safely and utilize lack-up trolleys where applicable,
    • Conducting stock count.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12.
    • Obtaining a Symbol A on the Psychomotor Dover Test.
    • Basic Rigging, Forklift and Overhead Crane licenses will be advantageous. Successful candidates without Basic Rigging, Forklift and Overhead Crane licenses will be assisted to obtain these through a structured development programme after which they will be upgraded.
    • Driver’s license Code EB (08).

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Monitoring of productivity and reporting.
    • Optimally allocating mining fleet.
    • Developing dispatching strategies that satisfy the goals of the operation.
    • Liaising with Production Supervisors and Operators to satisfy the goals of the operation.
    • Ensuring emergency preparedness and response.

    Minimum Qualifications and Experience

    • Either a Grade 12, Surface Blasting Certificate for Coal Mines, 2 different types of opencast machine licenses and a minimum of 7 years’ experience in an opencast production environment; OR
    • Grade 12, Valid Trade Certificate and a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an Artisan.
    • Dispatch Level 1 Competency will be advantageous.

    In this role you will be responsible for:

    • Updating SAP MM/PM and COUPA with relevant delivery note information and processing the relevant transactions.
    • Ensuring the accuracy, completeness and validity of all goods and materials delivered or collected by Vendors.
    • Ensuring that goods and materials conform to the specifications of orders and as possible determine that they are of an acceptable quality.
    • Ensuring that goods and materials were offloaded and signed for by the relevant mine representative.
    • Ensuring that the correct goods and materials are collected from the mine by Vendors.
    • Monitoring and expediting outstanding collections and deliveries.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Grade 12.
    • Certificate in Inventory Management.
    • Basic Rigging, Forklift and Overhead Crane license.
    • Driver’s license Code EB (08).

    Minimum Experience

    • Inventory experience will be advantageous.
    • MS Office and SAP MM/PM proficiency.
