    Senior Procurement Manager - Johannesburg Sappi South African HQ

    As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for:

    • Ensure strategic and center-led commodities for the area of responsibility are procured at optimal cost, time, quality, and quantity.
    • Develop & implement category strategies, ensuring supply security while reducing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
    • Conclude and approve major framework agreements and contracts.
    • Set and review supplier performance against agreed KPIs.
    • Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Consider and enforce B-BBEE, local procurement, code of ethics, and other relevant transformation-related legislation in procurement decisions.
    • Conduct global supply market analysis in order to identify potential supply sources.
    • Submit Value-add reports and/or dashboards for their own category to various internal stakeholders for collation and distribution.
    • Manage internal customer relations, drive remedial action, and provide feedback where service levels fall short of SLAs.
    • Identify sustainable supplier development opportunities and assist the Transformation Manager with supplier development efforts.
    • Support Transformation strategy by engendering value-added supplier diversity.
    • Ensure compliance to procurement policies and contracts.
    • Establishing category cost/price benchmarking frameworks involving detailed spend analysis, industry/supplier price deconstruction modeling and deep understanding of relevant category supply chain and product cost drivers.
    • Optimizing/leveraging sourcing synergies to achieve specific, sustainable cost reduction, containment, and value improvement targets on an annual basis.
    • Leading and supporting Procurement teams in the development and rollout of strategic source plans for key categories of operational spending in order to secure a low-cost supply base that supports the company’s operations with an uninterrupted supply of best-value goods, spares and production inputs.
    • Supporting Procurement teams in negotiating and concluding competitive commercial/legal agreements to drive sustainable performance.
    • Achieving optimum commercial outcomes in the context of competing political and socio-economic imperatives (local procurement, enterprise development, low-cost country sourcing).
    • Leading and coordinating efforts of Procurement/Strategic Sourcing and Operational Teams in ensuring innovation and compliance with respect to minimum safety standards, quality, and product specifications.
    • Effectively managing stakeholder relationships involving strategic suppliers and internal parties.
    • Identifying and progressing continuous improvement and innovative approaches to sourcing and contracting, maintaining focus on cost and value whilst disseminating best practice

    What are we looking for?

    • Minimum of a three (3) year relevant bachelor's degree (Financial, Procurement, Supply Chain).
    • Postgraduate business qualification will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience in Negotiation, Project Management & Supplier Management
    • Strong Leadership Skills
    • The Incumbent will be required to travel and work flexible hours with the possibility of shifts as and when required.

    Administration Clerk - Khulisa

    As an Administration Clerk - Khulisa, you will be responsible for:

    • Facilitate & manage Khulisa bookings for meetings, seminars and conferences by coordinating all aspects such as venue, logistics, and catering according to management requirements
    • Attend monthly Management meetings, collate the presentation, compile & distribute agenda and minutes according to agreed standards
    • Maintain archives from all Khulisa regional offices and liaise with Document warehouse for archiving documents when required 
    • Initiate request for proposals (RFP) process on e-Cams/Ariba for new/renewal contract requests by uploading the contract information packs from service providers onto systems to ensure that no business transaction occurs without a legal agreement in place
    • Load and track contract approval process flow on systems to ensure effective and timeous completion of agreements and service providers receive accurate feedback
    • Print and/or distribute copies of all contracts to contractors and suppliers, and ensure the signed original is posted to the Legal department
    • Maintain and upload contractor rates on Forcelink to ensure work orders are timeoulsy done by forestry staff 
    • Generate SAP payment requisitions and ensure purchase requisitions, order numbers and invoices are processed to ensure that vendors are paid in line with company policy and internal procedures
    • Ensure invoices are submitted within 30 days upon request of order number by the requestor and finalise the transaction on SAP for payment so that costs are submitted within the same month of the transaction
    • Provide back office support and administrative function to Forcelink users' queries logged through IT Helpdesk by liaising with various business units and external stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved timeously
    • Conduct recorded monthly safety inspections of the facilities and equipment
    • Assist to manage company assets and use thereof, by keeping an up to date assets register through log inventory register and conduct regular recorded asset inspections housekeeping by doing regular visit at the training centres and updating to control all assets and stocks 
    • Assist in the completion of asset disposal and Capex application using electronic capex system for requests to be approved
    • Assist by putting together monthly reports by consolidating and editing the report document/s to ensure effective communication to senior management 
    • Assist by consolidating weekly & monthly statistics by drawing operations reports on Forecelink and updating weekly/monthly report on MS Teams, and circulating report to Senior management
    • Assist with the administering of the action log system and with the follow-up and close-out.

    What are we looking for?

    • A matric/grade 12 qualification
    • An Administration related qualification preferable
    • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience
    • Strong computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
    • SAP knowledge an advantage
    • Valid code EB Driver's license

    Condition Monitoring Analyst - Ngodwana

    As Condition Monitoring Analyst, your responsibilities include:

    • Conducting laser alignments on equipment to meet mill standards.
    • Performing infra-red scanning and analysis on equipment as necessary.
    • Conducting vibration readings and analysis according to scheduled work orders.
    • Generating notifications with recommendations for Engineering Foreman and Head of Maintenance.
    • Performing ad hoc oil analysis as required.
    • Performing balancing on equipment as necessary.
    • Conducting material analysis on metal as needed.
    • Performing thickness tests on steel and paint when required.
    • Additionally, the role involves maintaining and caring for equipment such as the Data Logger, Infra-red camera, laser alignment equipment, and Bruker (material analysis machine).

    What are we looking for? 

    • Post Matric Certificate / Diploma / NQF level 5-6.
    • Recognised Trade Certificate (Manpower/Seta accredited).
    • 3 - 5 years’ experience in plant operations.
    • Valid driver's license.
    • Advantageous to have experience in the Pulp and Paper industry.
    • SAP knowledge is advantageous.
    • Experience with AMS Suite is advantageous.
