    Warehouse Coordinator

    Main Purpose

    To plan, execute, & oversee all activities connected with the inventory control, effective safe handling, storage & transportation of all materials from point of arrival through to assembly of orders ready for dispatch in correct quantity, time & condition so as to ensure that factory operates at maximum efficiency. Liaise closely with immediate superior, purchasers, shipping,  and relevant external parties.

    A day in the life of a Warehouse Coordinator:

    Resources (People and Forklifts)

    • Direct and manage the daily operations and ensure output based on daily volume.
    • Direct and manage the reassigning of resources with consultation of Supply Chain Manager.
    • Ensure efficient utilization of resources, equipment and capacity to optimally handle reciepts and dispatches.
    • The ability to deputize for other controllers or coordinators in the warehousing environment.                                

    Logistics

    • Ensuring deliveries are achieved on time (issues, reciept and distpach) and in the right quality for raw, packaging, semifinished , bulk and  finished goods materials in an efficient and effective way.
    • Ensure document compliance and tracking (POD, NQMS, OBD, etc)
    • Ensure pallets are maintained (Returns, Reciepts, Stock Counts, Housekeeping) on site (3rd party pallets and Nestlé pallets)                                           

    Stock Management

    • Ensure stock accuracy through the coordination of cycle counts and monthly stock counts.
    • Participation in key quarterly and monthly (Outside warehouse)  stock counts.
    • Maintain Warehousing Master Data for materials on SAP.
    • Ensure defective stock (expired/damaged/blocked) is managed according to the standard and procedures                                 

    HR Management

    • Training & Development (inclusive of Individual Development Plans) for TAC team on Warehouse Processes.
    • Understanding the disciplinary and grievance procedure.
    • Abides by the company polices and the disciplinary code                        

    Administration

    • Creation of Purchase Requisitions on SAP.
    • Effective Implementation of procedures and standards                                    

    Compliance

    • Conducting health checks on SAP.
    • Drive compliance with quality control systems and procedures through routine housekeeping checks within the warehouse.
    • Drive safety compliance to ensure a safe working environment through the Life Saving rules and Site Safety
    • Procedures including Caring Leadership in Safety and FHF submission.
    • Ensure all mechanical equipment (E.g. forklift lifts, scales) is maintained and serviced as per the supplier specification or the agreed company standards                                           

    What will make you successful?

    • Matric or equivalent. Diploma in Logistics advantageous, but not requirement.
    • 23 years experience in Supply Chain or stock management
    • Relevant operational experience at a factory level, in the following areas is beneficial:
    • Raw Materials Receiving (Liquid Bulk, Raw and Packaging)
    • Interfactory Supply
    • Transportation
    • Issues to Production
    • Receipt to Production
    • Stock Control (Materials and Pallets)
    • Extensive SAP Knowledge in Materials Handling

    Product Technologist

    Main Purpose

    To lead execution and implementation of I&R projects through NPDI process, at optimum cost, desired quality and compliant to local legislations and Nestle standards. To also lead and implement NCE initiatives in manufacturing activities.

    A day in the life of a Product Technologist:

    I&R Excellence: 

    • Lead I&R projects by working in cross-functional teams (marketing, technical and factory) and following the NPDI process from Concept to post-launch
    • Develop formulations aligned with PTC/R&D Center and in compliance with relevant legislations as well as NF criteria and 60/40 methodology.
    • Determine best packaging solution with packaging technologist.
    • Identify factory requirements for the new products (CAPEX...).
    • Coordinate and lead industrial trials and participate in pHACCP/HACCP studies.
    • Prepare and update Manufacturing dossiers and BOMs.
    • Ensure smooth hand-over to operations with "zero" defect industrialization.              

    Manufacturing Excellence:

    • Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce manufacturing costs and improve quality
    • Lead initiatives on harmonization of recipes and materials for cost reduction
    • Provide technical support to factory on identifying root causes of problems on product quality issues and give recommendations.

    Quality and compliance:

    • Ensure all I&R project tasks are aligned with internal standards and processes as per NPDI, GIs/MIs.
    • Get release approval from BU/SBU for new products.
    • Update and maintain recipe management and specification systems.
    • Build quality, regulatory compliance and food safety of new products developed.

    What will make you successful?

    • 3-years National Diploma in Food Technology / Food Engineering or BSc Microbiology/Biotechnology
    • 2-years experience in FMCG in manufacturing environment (Food preferably).
    • Exposure to both operational and commercial environments.
