    Administration Assistant - Cape Town

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Support/Assistance to the Campus Head:

    • Providing administrative support to the Campus Head (diary management, filing, typing, photocopying, proofreading etc.)
    • Preparing and submitting the Campus Head’s mileage and expense claims
    • Screening calls and taking messages for the Campus Head as and when required
    • Organising travel arrangements for the Campus Head when required

    Admissions Officer - Roodepoort

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Student Application & Admission Administration

    • Collaborates with the campus student retention team to generate student admissions related queries.
    • Follows up with the campus retention team for missing student information in order to finalise all student admissions related queries.
    • Evaluates retention student admissions against the set admission criteria and communicates the appropriate outcomes.
    • Liaises with the campus student retention team during the admission evaluation process and assessment.
    • Escalates admission queries to the Senior Admission Officer and Office of the Registrar.
    • Liaises with the campus Head Academic Operations on the management of declined admissions and expired offers

    Student Registration Administration

    • Manages the de-registration and transfer process, and thereafter sends to the Finance department for processing.
    • Follows up on all outstanding documentation and uploads once received.
    • Determines eligibility and captures academic credits.
    • Determines maximum completion time and credit load of such registrations.
    • Maintains student records for a period of two years before archiving the files in line with the data retention regulations of the Protection of Personal Information Act (PoPIA).
    • Ensures compliance of international students from a document perspective.
    • Adheres to the International Student Policy/Procedure and updates reports regularly.
    • Re-audits all registration files in line with the stipulated deadline for the Data Verification Report.
    • Re-audits all registration files by the audit date stipulated by the Registrar, this would include the following; the South African Qualifications Authority SAQA / Universities South Africa (USAF)

    Graduation

    Credit Controller (Pre-Legal)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Administration/Collections/Handover

    • Attend to additional adhoc administrative duties as and when required.
    • Assistance with registration for a specific campus or across campuses including collections relating to current and prior debt accounts for the first quarter of every year at a minimum.
    • Negotiate and maintain payment arrangements and document Acknowledgement of Debt (signed off by Pre-Legal Team Leader)

    Campus reception and Switchboard duties

    • Create an organised front office environment system (orderly systems, clean, professional and neat).
    • Receives and welcomes prospective students, parents and guests by greeting and directing them appropriately.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Head of Programme - Roodepoort

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Academic Leadership and Management

    • Management of the NQF level 9 or NQF level 10 qualification from application to graduation in collaboration with the relevant Academic Support Coordinator.
    • Align with and contribute to the strategic plan of the Postgraduate and Research Centre, in context of the Combined Institution and its vision.
    • Continuously track local and global developments in the field and in postgraduate studies to ensure curricula and practices meet stakeholders current and future needs.
    • Coordinate the curriculum development in collaboration with the centre leadership, and the Deans and Deputy Deans in the combined institution.
    • Identify, brief and monitor module developers and instructional designers and quality assure their outputs.
    • Analyse and report on academic results in context of institutional targets and external benchmarks: throughput rates, progression rates, graduation and completion rates and ensure appropriate interventions are planned and implemented where necessary.
    • Identify moderators for designated modules, review moderators' feedback and advise problem-solving strategies when required.
    • Manage Quality Assurance (e.g. Peer Reviews, Standardisation Meetings, Programme Reviews, External moderation or examiner reports to provide evidence-based guidance).
    • Track and report on programme performance (e.g. Progress Reports) and stakeholder feedback.
    • Participate in key governance structures and committees (e.g. PCC, Academic Planning and Development Committee, Brands Results, Postgraduate and Research committee).

    • A completed PhD or a PhD in progress, with anticipated completion by the end of 2024, or an equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.

    Minimum Work Experience Requirement:

    • Minimum of 5 years Teaching and Learning experience (preferably in postgraduate studies in Higher Education environment).
    • Qualifications and experience in academic work relevant to the programme discipline.
    • Some industry experience related to the field/programme discipline
    • Managerial and/or coordination experience at a postgraduate level
