    Breeder Farm Chargehand

    Minimum Requirements    

    • Grade 12
    • Numerical Literacy is essential in this role
    • A degree in Agriculture is greatly valued and beneficial.
    • Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in the area of Rearing /Laying
    • Relevant poultry courses will be beneficial.
    • A good understanding of modern farming methods, a commitment to animal welfare and an interest in, and understand of, the ways in which farming impacts the environment.
    • Ability to apply the basics of poultry effectively on site
    • Computer skills in Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint & Word) would be advantageous.
    • Capability to analyse operational reports and data and monitoring compliance with policies and procedures.

    Duties and Responsibilities    
    Effective management of the site which includes but not limited to:

    • Record keeping and reporting to Manager (mortalities, egg collection sheets, daily stats, water consumptions, feed orders, etc.) on a daily basis.
    • Ensure that the assets and installations are maintained and in good order, thorough knowledge of function / tasks / equipment.
    • Ensuring livestock is treated humanely, and in compliance with company standards (monitoring feedings, spillages, report deviations, vaccinations)
    • Coaching and monitoring employees to help them develop clear understanding of standards/requirements relating to Animal Welfare, Food Safety and Quality.
    • Training staff as per schedule
    • Planning daily work activities and organising duties on site
    • Effective communication 
    • Decision making within authority level and company procedures
    • Time management on site as well as guiding others to manage their time effectively
    • Managing IR/ HR matters of site
    • Ensuring the site complies with Health & Safety regulations

    Technical Advisor - Broilers

    Plant/Site Engineer (GCC)

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The ideal person will be in possession of at least a N6 or equivalent qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, with a GCC (Factories and Laws) and at least 3- 4 years of relevant experience or is a certificated engineer.

    Minimum Requirements    

    • N6 or equivalent S3 or S4 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
    • Must be in possession of GCC (Both Factories and Laws)
    • Relevant completed Trade Test is essential [3 Phase electrical Trade Test, etc.].
    • A minimum of 3- 4 years of relevant experience or is a certificated engineer.
    • At least 2-3 years relevant management experience.
    • Own transport is essential.
    • Must be willing to relocate to the Free State (Bloemfontein)
    • Relevant knowledge of Ammonia plants and Boiler Machines
    • Extended knowledge of OSH legislation compliance.

    Duties and Responsibilities    

    • Responsible for electrical, mechanical, scales, refrigeration, grounds & buildings and Rendering and Boilers plants
    • Planning of maintenance schedules for Plant machinery.
    • Obtaining of quotations and ordering of spares.
    • Controlling and eliminating breakdowns.
    • Ensure optimum water, electricity, and coal consumption.
    • Projects and costing.
    • Continuous improvement
    • Budgeting and financial controls including cost savings.
    • Stock control of engineering equipment
    • Drive HACCP systems for both the processing plant and the Maintenance Department to ensure all-inclusive compliance.
    • Responsible for Health & Safety and accident / incident investigation for the Maintenance Department
    • Adhere to and responsible for all OHS Legislation compliance
    • Management and training of maintenance employees including KPI’s.
    • Minimise plant downtime.
    • Future planning to ensure maximum efficiency of the plant.
    • Asset management.
    • Management of staff, planning and control of maintenance shifts, overtime, and weekend work.
    • Drive root-cause analysis.

    Tax Administrator

    Job Advert Summary    

    • The role involves the day-to-day administration and coordination of the taxation function for the Group. The successful candidate will have a BCom degree with major in Tax, completed articles and at least 3 years of relevant experience. 

    Minimum Requirements    

    • B Com (with major in tax), BCom Financial Sciences or similar.
    • BCom Hons (Taxation) is advantageous.
    • Articles required
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax administration or supervision within a reputable accounting firm
    • SAIPA or similar certification
    • Thorough understanding of South African tax laws, regulations, and procedures
    • Proficiency in tax software and accounting systems (e.g. Konsise, Syspro, etc.)

    • Liaising and following up with SARS and resolving queries.
    • Adherence to SARS deadlines
    • Complete tax administration function by implementing use of tax software and then managing for broader group outside SA as well.

    • Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations, ensuring compliance and finance function accordingly
